1 These are the lodging places of the sons of Israel, who departed from Egypt by their companies under the hand of Moses and Aaron,	1 Queste son le tappe dei figli d'Israele che, divisi nelle loro schiere, uscirono dall'Egitto, sotto la guida di Mosè e di Aronne.
2 which Moses wrote down according to the places of the encampments, which they changed upon the order of the Lord.	2 Mosè le notò secondo i luoghi degli accampamenti che essi cambiavano per comando di Dio.
3 Thus the sons of Israel set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the day after the Passover, with an exalted hand, being seen by all the Egyptians.	3 Nel primo mese, ai quindici del primo mese, il giorno dopo pasqua, i figli d'Israele partirono da Ramesse, a mano alzata, alla vista di tutti gli Egiziani,
4 And these were burying their firstborn, whom the Lord had struck down (for so, too, did he carry out retribution against their gods).	4 che seppellivano i loro primogeniti, percossi dal Signore, il quale fe' piombare le sue vendette anche sopra i loro dèi.
5 And they made camp at Soccoth.	5 S'accamparono in Soccot;
6 And from Soccoth they went to Etham, which is at the furthest limits of the wilderness.	6 da Soccot andarono a Etam, che è sul limitar del deserto.
7 Departing from there, they arrived opposite Pi-hahiroth, which looks out toward Baal-zephon, and they were encamped before Migdol.	7 Partiti da Etam, giunsero davanti a Fihahirot che guarda Beelsefon, e si accamparono dinanzi a Magdalo.
8 And setting out from Pi-hahiroth, they crossed through the middle of the Sea into the wilderness. And having walked for three days through the desert of Etham, they made camp at Marah.	8 Partiti da Fihahirot, passarono per mezzo il mare, nel deserto, e dopo aver camminato tre giorni pel deserto di Eltam, posero il campo a Mara.
9 And setting out from Marah, they arrived at Elim, where there were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees. And they set up camp there.	9 Partiti da Mara, andarono ad Elim, a dove eran dodici fontane e settanta palme, e vi si accamparono.
10 But departing from there also, they fixed their tents above the Red Sea. And setting out from the Red Sea,	10 Partiti poi di là piantarono le tende lungo il Mar Rosso. Partiti dal Mar Rosso,
11 they were encamped in the desert of Sin.	11 si accamparono nel deserto di Sin.
12 Departing from there, they went to Dophkah.	12 Mossisi di lì, andarono a Dafca.
13 And setting out from Dophkah, they made camp at Alush.	13 partiti da Dafca, si accamparono in Alus.
14 And departing from Alush, they fixed their tents at Rephidim, where the people lacked water to drink.	14 Partiti da Alus, si accamparono in Rafidim, dove mancò al popolo l'acqua per bere.
15 And setting out from Rephidim, they camped in the desert of Sinai.	15 Partiti da Rafidim, si accamparono nel deserto del Sinai.
16 But departing also from the wilderness of the Sinai, they arrived at the Graves of Lust.	16 Partiti dal deserto del Sinai, giunsero ai Sepolcri della concupiscenza.
17 And setting out from the Graves of Lust, they were encamped at Hazeroth.	17 Partiti dai Sepolcri della concupiscenza, s'accamparono in Haserot.
18 And from Hazeroth, they went to Rithmah.	18 Da Haserot andarono a Retma.
19 And setting out from Rithmah, they made camp at Rimmon-perez.	19 Partiti da Retma, si accamparon in Remmonfares;
20 And departing from there, they arrived at Libnah.	20 di dove partiti andarono a Lebna;
21 From Libnah, they made camp at Rissah.	21 E da Lebna andarono a Ressa;

26 And setting out from Makheloth, they went to Tahath.	26 Da Macelot passarono a Tahat;

28 Departing from there, they pitched their tents at Mithkah.	28 partiti di là, piantarono le tende a Metca;
29 And from Mithkah, they were encamped at Hashmonah.	29 da Metca andarono a Hesmona;
30 And setting out from Hashmonah, they went to Moseroth.	30 e partiti da Hesmoana, giunsero a Moserot.
31 And from Moseroth, they made camp at Bene-jaakan.	31 Da Moserot andarono a Beneiaacan,
32 And setting out from Bene-jaakan, they went to mount Gidgad.	32 di dove partiti giunsero al monte Gadgad.
33 Setting out from there, they were encamped at Jotbathah.	33 partiti di li si accamparono a Ietebata;
34 And from Jotbathah, they went to Abronah.	34 da Ietebata andarono a Ebrona;
35 And departing from Abronah, they made camp at Eziongeber.	35 lasciata la quale, s'attendarono in Asiongaber.
36 Setting out from there, they went into the desert of Sin, which is Kadesh.	36 Partiti di là giunsero nel deserto di Sin, cioè a Cades.
37 And departing from Kadesh, they encamped at mount Hor, at the furthermost limits of the land of Edom.	37 E partiti da Cades, si accamparono al monte Or, all'estremità dell'ldumea.
38 And Aaron the priest ascended onto mount Hor, by the order of the Lord. And there he died, in the fortieth year of the departure of the sons of Israel from Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month,	38 E Aronne sacerdote salì, per ordine del Signore, sul monte Or, ove mori nel quarantesimo anno dopb l'uscita dei figli d'Israele dall'Egitto, nel quinto mese, al primo del mese,
39 when he was one hundred twenty-three years old.	39 mentre era nell'età di centoventitrè anni.
40 And king Arad the Canaanite, who lived toward the south, heard that the sons of Israel had arrived in the land of Canaan.	40 Fu allora che il Cananeo, re di Arad, il quale abitava verso il mezzogiorno, seppe come i figli d'Israele venissero nella terra di Canaan.
41 And setting out from mount Hor, they made camp at Zalmonah.	41 Partiti poi dal monte Or, si accamparono a Salmona,

43 And setting out from Punon, they were encamped at Oboth.	43 partiti da Funon andarono a Obot,
44 And from Oboth, they went to Iye-abarim, which is at the borders of the Moabites.	44 e da Obot andarono a Ieabarim, che è ai confini dei Moabiti.
45 And setting out from Iye-abarim, they fixed their tents at Dibon-gad.	45 Partiti da Ieabarim, piantaron le tonde a Dibon Gad;

47 And departing from Almon-diblathaim, they went to the mountains of Abarim, opposite Nebo.	47 Partiti di là, giunsero ai monti di Abarim, di faccia a Nabo.
48 And setting out from the mountains of Abarim, they crossed over to the plains of Moab, above the Jordan, opposite Jericho.	48 Partitisi poi dai monti Abarim, passarono nelle pianure di Moab, sulle rive del Giordano, di faccia a Gerico;
49 And they made camp there, from Beth-jeshimoth all the way to Abel-shittim, in the level places of the Moabites,	49 ove si accamparono da Betsimot ad Abeslatim, nelle steppe di Moab.
50 where the Lord said to Moses:	50 Ivi il Signore disse a Mosè:
51 “Instruct the sons of Israel, and say to them: When you will have crossed over the Jordan, entering into the land of Canaan,	51 « Da' quest'ordine ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: Quando avrete passato il Giordano e sarete entrati nella terra, di Canaan,
52 destroy all the inhabitants of that land. Break their monuments, and shatter their statues, and lay waste to every exalted thing,	52 sterminate tutti gli abitanti di quel paese, fate in pezzi i monumenti, riducete in polvere le statue, demolite tutti gli alti luoghi:
53 cleansing the land and living in it. For I have given it you as a possession,	53 purificate la terra e poi abitatela, perche ve l'ho data io in possesso.
54 which you shall divide among you by lot. To the greater number you shall give more, and to the lesser number, less. To each one, just as the lot shall fall, so shall the inheritance be distributed. The possession shall be divided by the tribes and families.	54 Ve la dividerete a sorte, dando una porzione maggiore a quelli che son più numerosi, una minore a quelli meno numerosi. Ognuno possederà ciò che gli sarà toccato in sorte. La divisione sarà fatta per tribù e per famiglie.
55 But if you are not willing to put to death the inhabitants of the land, those who remain shall be to you like spikes in your eyes and lances in your sides, and they shall be adversaries to you in the land of your habitation.	55 Ma se non ucciderete gli abitanti del paese, quelli che di loro resteranno diverran per voi come chiodi negli occhi e lance ai fianchi, e vi saran nemici nel paese che abiterete;
56 And whatever I had decided to do to them, I will do to you.”	56 io poi farò a voi tutto ciò che avevo pensato di fare a loro »
