1 These are the lodging places of the sons of Israel, who departed from Egypt by their companies under the hand of Moses and Aaron,	1 Estas son las etapas que recorrieron los israelitas cuando salieron de Egipto, agrupados por regimientos, bajo la conducción de Moisés y Aarón.
2 which Moses wrote down according to the places of the encampments, which they changed upon the order of the Lord.	2 Moisés consignó por escrito el punto inicial de cada etapa, por orden del Señor. Los puntos iniciales de cada etapa fueron los siguientes:
3 Thus the sons of Israel set out from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the day after the Passover, with an exalted hand, being seen by all the Egyptians.	3 El día quince del primer mes –el día siguiente a la Pascua– los israelitas partieron de Ramsés. Salieron triunfalmente, a la vista de todo Egipto,
4 And these were burying their firstborn, whom the Lord had struck down (for so, too, did he carry out retribution against their gods).	4 mientras los egipcios enterraban a sus primogénitos, que el Señor había herido de muerte, dando así un justo escarmiento a sus dioses.
5 And they made camp at Soccoth.	5 Después que partieron de Ramsés, los israelitas acamparon en Sucot.
6 And from Soccoth they went to Etham, which is at the furthest limits of the wilderness.	6 Luego partieron de Sucot y acamparon en Etam, al borde del desierto.
7 Departing from there, they arrived opposite Pi-hahiroth, which looks out toward Baal-zephon, and they were encamped before Migdol.	7 De allí, se volvieron hacia Piajirot, que está frente a Baal Safón, y acamparon delante de Migdol.
8 And setting out from Pi-hahiroth, they crossed through the middle of the Sea into the wilderness. And having walked for three days through the desert of Etham, they made camp at Marah.	8 Partiendo de Piajirot, llegaron al desierto, pasando a través del mar, y después de tres días de marcha por el desierto de Etam, acamparon en Mará.
9 And setting out from Marah, they arrived at Elim, where there were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees. And they set up camp there.	9 Partieron de Mará y llegaron a Elím, donde hay doce fuentes y setenta palmeras, y allí acamparon.
10 But departing from there also, they fixed their tents above the Red Sea. And setting out from the Red Sea,	10 Partieron de Elím y acamparon a orillas del Mar Rojo.
11 they were encamped in the desert of Sin.	11 Partieron del Mar Rojo y acamparon en el desierto de Sin.
12 Departing from there, they went to Dophkah.	12 Partieron del desierto de Sin y acamparon en Dofcá.
13 And setting out from Dophkah, they made camp at Alush.	13 Partieron de Dofcá y acamparon en Alús.
14 And departing from Alush, they fixed their tents at Rephidim, where the people lacked water to drink.	14 Partieron de Alús y acamparon en Refidím, conde el pueblo no tuvo agua para beber.
15 And setting out from Rephidim, they camped in the desert of Sinai.	15 Partieron de Refidím y acamparon en el desierto del Sinaí.
16 But departing also from the wilderness of the Sinai, they arrived at the Graves of Lust.	16 Luego partieron del desierto del Sinaí y acamparon en Quibrot Ha Taavá.
17 And setting out from the Graves of Lust, they were encamped at Hazeroth.	17 Partieron de Quibrot Ha Taavá y acamparon en Jaserot.
18 And from Hazeroth, they went to Rithmah.	18 Partieron de Jaserot y acamparon en Ritmá.
19 And setting out from Rithmah, they made camp at Rimmon-perez.	19 Partieron de Ritmá y acamparon en Rimón Péres.
20 And departing from there, they arrived at Libnah.	20 Partieron de Rimón Péres y acamparon en Libná.
21 From Libnah, they made camp at Rissah.	21 Partieron de Libná y acamparon en Risá.
22 And departing from Rissah, they went to Kehelathah.	22 Partieron de Risá y acamparon en Quehelatá.
23 Setting out from there, they were encamped at mount Shepher.	23 Partieron de Quehelatá y acamparon en el monte Séfer.
24 Departing from mount Shepher, they went to Haradah.	24 Partieron del monte Séfer y acamparon en Jaradá.
25 Continuing on from there, they made camp at Makheloth.	25 Partieron de Jaradá y acamparon en Maquelot.
26 And setting out from Makheloth, they went to Tahath.	26 Partieron de Maquelot y acamparon en Tájat.
27 From Tahath, they made camp at Terah.	27 Partieron de Tájat y acamparon en Téraj.
28 Departing from there, they pitched their tents at Mithkah.	28 Partieron de Téraj y acamparon en Mitcá.
29 And from Mithkah, they were encamped at Hashmonah.	29 Partieron de Mitcá y camparon en Jasmoná.
30 And setting out from Hashmonah, they went to Moseroth.	30 Partieron de Jasmoná y acamparon en Moserot.
31 And from Moseroth, they made camp at Bene-jaakan.	31 Partieron de Moserot y acamparon en Bené Iaacán.
32 And setting out from Bene-jaakan, they went to mount Gidgad.	32 Partieron de Bené Iaacán y acamparon en Hor Guidgad.
33 Setting out from there, they were encamped at Jotbathah.	33 Partieron de Hor Guidgad y acamparon en Iotbatá.
34 And from Jotbathah, they went to Abronah.	34 Partieron de Iotbatá y acamparon en Abroná.
35 And departing from Abronah, they made camp at Eziongeber.	35 Partieron de Abroná y acamparon en Esión Guéber.
36 Setting out from there, they went into the desert of Sin, which is Kadesh.	36 Partieron de Esión Guéber y acamparon en el desierto de Sin, o sea, en Cades.
37 And departing from Kadesh, they encamped at mount Hor, at the furthermost limits of the land of Edom.	37 Partieron de Cades y acamparon el monte Hor, en los límites de Edom.
38 And Aaron the priest ascended onto mount Hor, by the order of the Lord. And there he died, in the fortieth year of the departure of the sons of Israel from Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month,	38 El sacerdote Aarón, por orden del Señor, subió al monte Hor y allí murió, el primer día del quinto mes, cuarenta años después que los israelitas salieron de Egipto.
39 when he was one hundred twenty-three years old.	39 Cuando murió en el monte Hor, Aarón tenía ciento veintitrés años.
40 And king Arad the Canaanite, who lived toward the south, heard that the sons of Israel had arrived in the land of Canaan.	40 El cananeo, rey de Arad, que habitaba en el Négueb, en el país de Canaán, recibió entonces la noticia de la llegada de los israelitas.
41 And setting out from mount Hor, they made camp at Zalmonah.	41 Luego partieron del monte Hor y acamparon en Salmoná.
42 Departing from there, they went to Punon.	42 Partieron de Salmoná y acamparon en Punón.
43 And setting out from Punon, they were encamped at Oboth.	43 Partieron de Punón y acamparon en Obot.
44 And from Oboth, they went to Iye-abarim, which is at the borders of the Moabites.	44 Partieron de Obot y acamparon sobre el territorio de Moab, en Iyé Ha Abarím.
45 And setting out from Iye-abarim, they fixed their tents at Dibon-gad.	45 Partieron de Iyím y acamparon en Dibón Gad.
46 Departing from there, they made camp at Almon-diblathaim.	46 Partieron de Dibón Gad y acamparon en Almón Diblataim.
47 And departing from Almon-diblathaim, they went to the mountains of Abarim, opposite Nebo.	47 Partieron de Almón Diblataim y acamparon en las montañas de Abarím, frente al Nebo.
48 And setting out from the mountains of Abarim, they crossed over to the plains of Moab, above the Jordan, opposite Jericho.	48 Partieron de las montañas de Abarím y acamparon en las estepas de Moab, junto al Jordán, a la altura de Jericó.
49 And they made camp there, from Beth-jeshimoth all the way to Abel-shittim, in the level places of the Moabites,	49 Acamparon junto al Jordán, desde Bet Ha Iesimot hasta Abel Sitím, en las estepas de Moab.
50 where the Lord said to Moses:	50 El Señor dijo a Moisés en las estepas de Moab, junto al Jordán, a la altura de Jericó:
51 “Instruct the sons of Israel, and say to them: When you will have crossed over the Jordan, entering into the land of Canaan,	51 Habla en estos términos a los israelitas: Cuando crucen el Jordán en dirección al país de Canaán
52 destroy all the inhabitants of that land. Break their monuments, and shatter their statues, and lay waste to every exalted thing,	52 y hayan desposeído de sus dominios a todos los habitantes del país, ustedes harán desaparecer todas sus imágenes esculpidas y todas sus estatuas de metal fundido, y demolerán todos sus lugares altos.
53 cleansing the land and living in it. For I have given it you as a possession,	53 Tomarán posesión del país y habitarán en él, porque yo les di esa tierra para que la posean.
54 which you shall divide among you by lot. To the greater number you shall give more, and to the lesser number, less. To each one, just as the lot shall fall, so shall the inheritance be distributed. The possession shall be divided by the tribes and families.	54 Además, se repartirán el país entre sus clanes por medio de un sorteo, asignando una herencia mayor al grupo más numeroso, y una herencia más pequeña al grupo más reducido: cada uno tendrá lo que le toque en suerte, y se repartirán la tierra entre las tribus patriarcales.
55 But if you are not willing to put to death the inhabitants of the land, those who remain shall be to you like spikes in your eyes and lances in your sides, and they shall be adversaries to you in the land of your habitation.	55 Pero si no despojan de sus dominios a los habitantes del país, los que ustedes hayan dejado serán como espinas en sus ojos y como aguijones en su costado, que los asediarán en la tierra donde habiten.
56 And whatever I had decided to do to them, I will do to you.”	56 Y Yo los trataré a ustedes como había decidido tratarlos a ellos.
