1 A canticle for David himself, when the house was built after the captivity. Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: sing to the Lord, all the earth.	1 Salmo di Davidde, quando la terra di lui fu ristorata. IL Signore è nel suo regno: esulti la terra, le molte isole si rallegrino.
2 Sing ye to the Lord and bless his name: shew forth his salvation from day to day.	2 Intorno a lui una nube caliginosa: reggono il trono di lui la giustizia, e il giudicio.
3 Declare his glory among the Gentiles: his wonders among all people.	3 Precederà innanzi a lui il fuoco, e abbrugerà all'intorno tutti i suoi nemici.
4 For the Lord is great, and exceedingly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.	4 Lampeggiarono le sue folgora per tutto il giro della terra: le vide, e fa scossa la terra.
5 For all the gods of the Gentiles are devils: but the Lord made the heavens.	5 I monti come cera si liquefecero alla presenza del Signore: alla presenza del Signore si liquefece tutta la terra.
6 Praise and beauty are before him: holiness and majesty in his sanctuary.	6 Hanno annunziata i cieli la giustizia di lui, e han veduta tutti i popoli la sua gloria.
7 Bring ye to the Lord, O ye kindreds of the Gentiles, bring ye to the Lord glory and honour:	7 Sian confusi tutti coloro, che adorano scolpite immagini, e de' lor simolacri si gloriano.
8 bring to the Lord glory unto his name. Bring up sacrifices, and come into his courts:	8 Adoratelo voi tutti o Angeli di lui: udì Sionne, e n' ebbe allegrezza. Ed esultarono le figliuole di Giuda per ragione de' tuoi giudizj, o Signore.
9 adore ye the Lord in his holy court. Let all the earth be moved at his presence.	9 Imperocché tu il Signore altissimo sopra tutta la terra: tu se' oltre modo esaltato sopra tutti gli dei.
10 Say ye among the Gentiles, the Lord hath reigned. For he hath corrected the world, which shall not be moved: he will judge the people with justice.	10 Voi che amate il Signore, odiate il male: il Signore è custode dell'anime de' suoi santi, ei le libererà dalle mani del peccatore.
11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad, let the sea be moved, and the fulness thereof:	11 E nata pel giusto la luce, la leti zia per que', che hanno il cuore retto.
12 the fields and all things that are in them shall be joyful. Then shall all the trees of the woods rejoice	12 Rallegratevi nel Signore, o giusti e celebrate la memoria della sua santità.
13 before the face of the Lord, because he cometh: because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with justice, and the people with his truth.
