1 Salmo di David, quando fuggiva dalla faccia di Assalon suo figliuolo	1 LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Signore, perchè sono moltiplicati coloro che tribolano me? Molti si levano contro a me.	2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 Molti dicono all' anima mia: non è salute [a lei] nel suo Iddio.	3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 Ma tu, Signore, se' quegli che mi ricevi; e sei la mia gloria, e sei quello che aggrandisti lo mio capo.	4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 Con la voce mia gridai al Signore; e ha me esaudito del monte santo suo.	5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
6 Io dormii, e fui pieno di sonno; e leva'mi, e il nostro Signore mi ricevette.	6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Non temerò le migliaia de' popoli che m' attorniarono. Leva su, Signore, e fammi salvo, Iddio mio.	7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Però che tu hai percosso tutti coloro che sono contro a me senza cagione; e hai tritati i denti de' peccatori.	8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
9 La salute s' appartiene al Signore di darla; e sopra il popolo tuo la benedizion tua.
