BIBBIA VOLGARE	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Cantico de' gradi. Sommi rallegrato in quelle cose che a me sono state dette; che anderemo nella casa del Signore.	1 [Song of Ascents] I lift up my eyes to the mountains; where is my help to come from?
2 Stanti erano li piedi nostri nelli portici tuoi, o Ierusalem.	2 My help comes from Yahweh who made heaven and earth.
3 Ierusalem, che è edificata come città; la cui partecipazione in sè medesimo.	3 May he save your foot from stumbling; may he, your guardian, not fall asleep!
4 Qui ascendettero le tribù, tribù [del Signore], in testimonio d' Israel, a confessare al nome del Signore.	4 You see -- he neither sleeps nor slumbers, the guardian of Israel.
5 Per che ivi sedettero li sedenti nel giudicio, sedenti sopra la casa di David.	5 Yahweh is your guardian, your shade, Yahweh, at your right hand.
6 Pregate quelle cose che sono alla pace di Ierusalem; e alla abbondanza delli amanti te.	6 By day the sun will not strike you, nor the moon by night.
7 Nella virtù tua sia fatta la pace; e la abbondanza in le torri tue.	7 Yahweh guards you from al harm Yahweh guards your life,
8 Per li miei fratelli e prossimi miei, parlava la pace per te.	8 Yahweh guards your comings and goings, henceforth and for ever.
9 Per la casa del Dio nostro, cercai a te tutti li beni.
