LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Di Davide, quando si finse pazzo davanti ad Abimèlech, di modo che questi lo costrinse ad andarsene.	1 [Of David, when he had feigned insanity before Abimelech, and Abimelech sent him away] I wil blessYahweh at al times, his praise continual y on my lips.
2 Voglio benedire il Signore in ogni tempo, la sua lode sia sempre sulla mia bocca.	2 I will praise Yahweh from my heart; let the humble hear and rejoice.
3 Nel Signore si gloria l'anima mia, odano i poveri e si rallegrino.	3 Proclaim with me the greatness of Yahweh, let us acclaim his name together.
4 Magnificate con me il Signore ed esaltiamo il suo nome tutti insieme.	4 I seek Yahweh and he answers me, frees me from al my fears.
5 Mi sono rivolto al Signore e mi ha risposto, da ogni mia apprensione mi ha liberato.	5 Fix your gaze on Yahweh and your face wil grow bright, you wil never hang your head in shame.
6 Guardate a lui e sarete raggianti, i vostri volti non dovranno arrossire.	6 A pauper calls out and Yahweh hears, saves him from all his troubles.
7 Questo misero ha gridato e il Signore l'ha udito, e da tutte le sue angustie lo ha liberato.	7 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and rescues them.
8 L'angelo del Signore s'accampa attorno a quelli che lo temono e li libera.	8 Taste and see that Yahweh is good. How blessed are those who take refuge in him.
9 Gustate e vedete che buono è il Signore: beato l'uomo che in lui si rifugia.	9 Fear Yahweh, you his holy ones; those who fear him lack for nothing.
10 Temete il Signore, o suoi santi, perché non c'è indigenza per quelli che lo temono.	10 Young lions may go needy and hungry, but those who seek Yahweh lack nothing good.
11 I potenti sono caduti in miseria e soffrono la fame, ma quelli che si rivolgono al Signore non mancano d'alcun bene.	11 Come, my children, listen to me, I wil teach you the fear of Yahweh.
12 Venite, o figli, e ascoltatemi: il timore del Signore io voglio insegnarvi.	12 Who among you delights in life, longs for time to enjoy prosperity?
13 Qual è l'uomo cui piace la vita, che ama i giorni da gustare il bene?	13 Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from any breath of deceit.
14 La tua lingua trattieni dal male e le tue labbra dal parlare con frode.	14 Turn away from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it.
15 Discòstati dal male e fa' il bene, ricerca la pace e corrile dietro.	15 The eyes of Yahweh are on the upright, his ear turned to their cry.
16 Gli occhi del Signore sono per i giusti e le sue orecchie al loro grido d'aiuto.	16 But Yahweh's face is set against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
17 L'attenzione del Signore è su quanti fanno il male per distruggere dalla terra la loro memoria.	17 They cry in anguish and Yahweh hears, and rescues them from al their troubles.
18 Gridarono i giusti e il Signore li udì e da ogni loro angustia li liberò.	18 Yahweh is near to the broken-hearted, he helps those whose spirit is crushed.
19 Vicino è il Signore a chi ha il cuore compunto, egli salva chi ha il cuore contrito.	19 Though hardships without number beset the upright, Yahweh brings rescue from them all.
20 Molti sono i mali del giusto, ma da tutti lo libera il Signore.	20 Yahweh takes care of all their bones, not one of them wil be broken.
21 Egli custodisce tutte le sue ossa, non una di esse fu mai spezzata.	21 But to the wicked evil brings death, those who hate the upright wil pay the penalty.
22 E' ucciso l'empio dalla sua malizia; quanti odiano il giusto ne scontano la pena.	22 Yahweh ransoms the lives of those who serve him, and there wil be no penalty for those who takerefuge in him.
23 Redime il Signore l'anima dei suoi servi; non subiscono alcuna pena quanti in lui si rifugiano.
