CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAINLXX
To David himself. Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, you are exceedingly great. You have clothed yourself with confession and beauty;1 τω δαυιδ ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον κυριε ο θεος μου εμεγαλυνθης σφοδρα εξομολογησιν και ευπρεπειαν ενεδυσω
you are dressed with light like a garment, while you stretch out heaven like a tent.2 αναβαλλομενος φως ως ιματιον εκτεινων τον ουρανον ωσει δερριν
You cover its heights with water. You set the clouds as your stairs. You walk upon the wings of the winds.3 ο στεγαζων εν υδασιν τα υπερωα αυτου ο τιθεις νεφη την επιβασιν αυτου ο περιπατων επι πτερυγων ανεμων
You make your Angels a breath of life, and your ministers a burning fire.4 ο ποιων τους αγγελους αυτου πνευματα και τους λειτουργους αυτου πυρ φλεγον
You founded the earth upon its stable base. It will not be bent from age to age.5 εθεμελιωσεν την γην επι την ασφαλειαν αυτης ου κλιθησεται εις τον αιωνα του αιωνος
The abyss, like a garment, is its clothing. The waters will remain standing above the mountains.6 αβυσσος ως ιματιον το περιβολαιον αυτου επι των ορεων στησονται υδατα
At your rebuke, they will flee. At the voice of your thunder, they will dread.7 απο επιτιμησεως σου φευξονται απο φωνης βροντης σου δειλιασουσιν
The mountains ascend, and the plains descend, to the place which you have founded for them.8 αναβαινουσιν ορη και καταβαινουσιν πεδια εις τοπον ον εθεμελιωσας αυτοις
You have set a limit that they will not cross. And they will not return to cover the earth.9 οριον εθου ο ου παρελευσονται ουδε επιστρεψουσιν καλυψαι την γην
You spring forth fountains in steep valleys. The waters will cross through the midst of the mountains.10 ο εξαποστελλων πηγας εν φαραγξιν ανα μεσον των ορεων διελευσονται υδατα
All the wild beasts of the field will drink. The wild donkeys will anticipate in their thirst.11 ποτιουσιν παντα τα θηρια του αγρου προσδεξονται οναγροι εις διψαν αυτων
Above them, the flying things of the air will dwell. From the midst of the rocks, they will utter voices.12 επ' αυτα τα πετεινα του ουρανου κατασκηνωσει εκ μεσου των πετρων δωσουσιν φωνην
You irrigate the mountains from your heights. The earth will be satiated from the fruit of your works,13 ποτιζων ορη εκ των υπερωων αυτου απο καρπου των εργων σου χορτασθησεται η γη
producing grass for cattle and herbs for the service of men. So may you draw bread from the earth,14 εξανατελλων χορτον τοις κτηνεσιν και χλοην τη δουλεια των ανθρωπων του εξαγαγειν αρτον εκ της γης
and wine, in order to cheer the heart of man. Then he may gladden his face with oil, and bread will confirm the heart of man.15 και οινος ευφραινει καρδιαν ανθρωπου του ιλαρυναι προσωπον εν ελαιω και αρτος καρδιαν ανθρωπου στηριζει
The trees of the field will be saturated, along with the cedars of Lebanon, which he planted.16 χορτασθησεται τα ξυλα του πεδιου αι κεδροι του λιβανου ας εφυτευσεν
There, the sparrows will make their nests. The leader of them is the house of the heron.17 εκει στρουθια εννοσσευσουσιν του ερωδιου η οικια ηγειται αυτων
The heights of the hills are for the deer; the rock is a refuge for the hedgehog.18 ορη τα υψηλα ταις ελαφοις πετρα καταφυγη τοις χοιρογρυλλιοις
He has made the moon for seasons; the sun knows its setting.19 εποιησεν σεληνην εις καιρους ο ηλιος εγνω την δυσιν αυτου
You appointed darkness, and it has become night; all the beasts of the forest will cross through it.20 εθου σκοτος και εγενετο νυξ εν αυτη διελευσονται παντα τα θηρια του δρυμου
The young lions will roar, while searching for and seizing their meal from God.21 σκυμνοι ωρυομενοι αρπασαι και ζητησαι παρα του θεου βρωσιν αυτοις
The sun arose, and they were gathered together; and in their dens, they will lie down together.22 ανετειλεν ο ηλιος και συνηχθησαν και εν ταις μανδραις αυτων κοιτασθησονται
Man will go forth to his work and to his activities, until the evening.23 εξελευσεται ανθρωπος επι το εργον αυτου και επι την εργασιαν αυτου εως εσπερας
How great are your works, O Lord! You have made all things in wisdom. The earth has been filled with your possessions.24 ως εμεγαλυνθη τα εργα σου κυριε παντα εν σοφια εποιησας επληρωθη η γη της κτησεως σου
This sea is great and its hands are spacious. There are creeping things without number: the small animals with the great.25 αυτη η θαλασσα η μεγαλη και ευρυχωρος εκει ερπετα ων ουκ εστιν αριθμος ζωα μικρα μετα μεγαλων
There, the ships will pass by this sea-serpent that you have formed to mock them.26 εκει πλοια διαπορευονται δρακων ουτος ον επλασας εμπαιζειν αυτω
All these expect you to give them food in due time.27 παντα προς σε προσδοκωσιν δουναι την τροφην αυτοις ευκαιρον
What you give to them, they will gather. When you open your hand, they will all be filled with goodness.28 δοντος σου αυτοις συλλεξουσιν ανοιξαντος δε σου την χειρα τα συμπαντα πλησθησονται χρηστοτητος
But if you turn your face away, they will be disturbed. You will take away their breath, and they will fail, and they will return to their dust.29 αποστρεψαντος δε σου το προσωπον ταραχθησονται αντανελεις το πνευμα αυτων και εκλειψουσιν και εις τον χουν αυτων επιστρεψουσιν
You will send forth your Spirit, and they will be created. And you will renew the face of the earth.30 εξαποστελεις το πνευμα σου και κτισθησονται και ανακαινιεις το προσωπον της γης
May the glory of the Lord be for all ages. The Lord will rejoice in his works.31 ητω η δοξα κυριου εις τον αιωνα ευφρανθησεται κυριος επι τοις εργοις αυτου
He considers the earth, and he makes it tremble. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.32 ο επιβλεπων επι την γην και ποιων αυτην τρεμειν ο απτομενος των ορεων και καπνιζονται
I will sing to the Lord with my life. I will sing psalms to my God, as long as I am.33 ασω τω κυριω εν τη ζωη μου ψαλω τω θεω μου εως υπαρχω
May my speech be pleasing to him. Truly, I will take delight in the Lord.34 ηδυνθειη αυτω η διαλογη μου εγω δε ευφρανθησομαι επι τω κυριω
Let sinners fade away from the earth, along with the unjust, so that they may not be. Bless the Lord, O my soul.35 εκλιποισαν αμαρτωλοι απο της γης και ανομοι ωστε μη υπαρχειν αυτους ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον
