Isaiah 32

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblia Sagrada
1 There wil be a king who reigns uprightly and princes who rule with fair judgement;	1 He aquí que reinará un rey con justicia | y sus oficiales gobernarán según derecho.
2 each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, like streams on arid ground, like theshade of a solid rock in a desolate land.	2 Serán abrigo contra el viento, | reparo en la tormenta, | cauces de agua en sequedal, | sombra de roca maciza en tierra reseca.
3 The eyes of seers wil no longer be closed, the ears of hearers wil be alert,	3 Los ojos de los videntes ya no estarán cerrados, | prestarán atención los oídos de los que oyen;
4 the heart of the hasty wil learn to think things over, and the tongue of stammerers wil speak promptlyand clearly.	4 los corazones agitados aprenderán discreción, | la lengua tartamuda hablará con soltura y claridad.
5 The fool wil no longer be cal ed generous, nor the rascal be styled bountiful.	5 Ya no llamarán noble al necio, | ni tratarán de honorable al sinvergüenza,
6 For the fool speaks fol y and his heart is set on vil ainy; he is godless in his actions and his wordsascribe error to Yahweh; he starves the hungry of their food and refuses drink to the thirsty.	6 pues el necio dice necedades | y su corazón planea maldades, | actúa perversamente | y dice injurias del Señor, | deja vacío el vientre del hambriento | y priva de agua al sediento.
7 Everything to do with the rascal is evil, he devises infamous plans to ruin the poor with lying wordseven when the needy has right on his side;	7 El sinvergüenza usa malas artes; | planea sus intrigas | para atrapar a los débiles con discursos mentirosos | y al indigente que defiende su derecho.
8 but the noble person plans only noble things, noble his every move.	8 El noble, en cambio, tiene planes nobles | y está firme en sus nobles intenciones.
9 Stand up, you haughty women, listen to my words; you over-confident daughters, pay attention to whatI say.	9 ¡En pie, mujeres indolentes, | escuchad mi voz, | atended a mis palabras, | mujeres negligentes!
10 Within one year and a few days you wil tremble, you over-confident women; grape-harvesting will befinished, gathering will never happen again.	10 Dentro de un año y pocos días | temblaréis, negligentes: | la vendimia habrá acabado, | y no habrá cosecha.
11 Shudder, you haughty women, tremble, you over-confident women; strip, undress, put sackclothround your waists.	11 Estremeceos vosotros, indolentes, | temblad, negligentes, | despojaos, desnudaos, | ceñíos la cintura con sayal.
12 Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine,	12 Golpeaos el pecho por los campos amenos, | por los campos deleitosos, | por las fértiles viñas;
13 for my people's soil where the bramble-bush wil be growing and for al the happy houses, for therejoicing city.	13 por las tierras de mi pueblo | crecerán las zarzas y los cardos, | e incluso por las casas jubilosas, | por la ciudad en fiesta.
14 For the citadel wil be abandoned and the thronged city deserted, Ophel and the Keep wil be denudedfor ever, the playground of wild donkeys and the pasture of flocks,	14 Porque el palacio ha sido abandonado, | la ciudad bulliciosa está desierta, | la ciudadela y la torre del vigía | se han convertido en cuevas para siempre, | alegría de los asnos salvajes, | campo de pastoreo de rebaños.
15 until the spirit is poured out on us from above, and the desert becomes an orchard, and an orchardthat seems like a forest.	15 Hasta que se derrame sobre nosotros | un espíritu de lo alto, | y el desierto se convierta en un vergel, | y el vergel parezca un bosque.
16 Fair judgement wil fix its home in the desert, and uprightness live in this orchard,	16 Habitará el derecho en el desierto, | y habitará la justicia en el vergel.
17 and the product of uprightness will be peace, the effect of uprightness being quiet and security forever.	17 La obra de la justicia será la paz, | su fruto, reposo y confianza para siempre.
18 My people will live in a peaceful home, in peaceful houses, tranquil dwel ings.	18 Mi pueblo habitará en moradas apacibles, | en tiendas seguras, | en tranquilos lugares de reposo;
19 And should the forest be total y destroyed and the city gravely humiliated,	19 aunque sea abatido el bosque, | aunque sea humillada la ciudad.
20 You wil be happy to sow wherever there is water and to let the ox and donkey roam free.	20 Dichosos vosotros cuando sembréis junto a todos los cauces de agua | y dejéis sueltos el toro y el asno.
