1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;	1 This is the rol of Adam's descendants: On the day that God created Adam he made him in the likenessof God.
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.	2 Male and female he created them. He blessed them and gave them the name Man, when they werecreated.
3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:	3 When Adam was a hundred and thirty years old he fathered a son, in his likeness, after his image, andhe cal ed him Seth.
4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:	4 Adam lived for eight hundred years after the birth of Seth and he fathered sons and daughters.
5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.	5 In al , Adam lived for nine hundred and thirty years; then he died.
6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos:	6 When Seth was a hundred and five years old he fathered Enosh.
7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters:	7 After the birth of Enosh, Seth lived for eight hundred and seven years, and he fathered sons anddaughters.
8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died.	8 In al , Seth lived for nine hundred and twelve years; then he died.
9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan:	9 When Enosh was ninety years old he fathered Kenan.
10 And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters:	10 After the birth of Kenan, Enosh lived for eight hundred and fifteen years and he fathered sons anddaughters.
11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died.	11 In al , Enosh lived for nine hundred and five years; then he died.
12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel:	12 When Kenan was seventy years old he fathered Mahalalel.
13 And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters:	13 After the birth of Mahalalel, Kenan lived for eight hundred and forty years and he fathered sons anddaughters.
14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.	14 In al , Kenan lived for nine hundred and ten years; then he died.
15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:	15 When Mahalalel was sixty-five years old he fathered Jared.
16 And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:	16 After the birth of Jared, Mahalalel lived for eight hundred and thirty years and he fathered sons anddaughters.
17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.	17 In al , Mahalalel lived for eight hundred and ninety-five years; then he died.
18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:	18 When Jared was a hundred and sixty-two years old he fathered Enoch.
19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:	19 After the birth of Enoch, Jared lived for eight hundred years and he fathered sons and daughters.
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.	20 In al , Jared lived for nine hundred and sixty-two years; then he died.
21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:	21 When Enoch was sixty-five years old he fathered Methuselah.
22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:	22 Enoch walked with God. After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch lived for three hundred years and hefathered sons and daughters.
23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:	23 In al , Enoch lived for three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.	24 Enoch walked with God, then was no more, because God took him.
25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech:	25 When Methuselah was a hundred and eighty-seven years old he fathered Lamech.
26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters:	26 After the birth of Lamech, Methuselah lived for seven hundred and eighty-two years and he fatheredsons and daughters.
27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.	27 In al , Methuselah lived for nine hundred and sixty-nine years; then he died.
28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son:	28 When Lamech was a hundred and eighty-two years old he fathered a son.
29 And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD hath cursed.	29 He gave him the name Noah because, he said, 'Here is one who wil give us, in the midst of our toiland the labouring of our hands, a consolation out of the very soil that Yahweh cursed.'
30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters:	30 After the birth of Noah, Lamech lived for five hundred and ninety-five years and fathered sons anddaughters.
31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died.	31 In al , Lamech lived for seven hundred and seventy-seven years; then he died.
32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.	32 When Noah was five hundred years old he fathered Shem, Ham and Japheth.
