1 Ljubite pravednost, vi suci zemaljski, pravednim mislima mislite o Gospodinu i tražite ga u jednostavnosti srca.	1 Love uprightness you who are rulers on earth, be properly disposed towards the Lord and seek him insimplicity of heart;
2 Jer njega nalaze koji ga ne iskušavaju i otkriva se onima koji mu ne uskraćuju svoju vjeru.	2 for he wil be found by those who do not put him to the test, revealing himself to those who do notmistrust him.
3 A podmukle misli otuđuju od Boga i iskušavana Svemoć posramljuje bezumnike.	3 Perverse thoughts, however, separate people from God, and power, when put to the test, confounds thestupid.
4 Jer mudrost ne ulazi u dušu opaku i ne nastanjuje se u tijelu grijehu podložnu.	4 Wisdom wil never enter the soul of a wrong-doer, nor dwell in a body enslaved to sin;
5 Jer sveti duh pouke bježi od prijevare i uklanja se od misli bezumnih i uzmiče kad se nepravda pojavi.	5 for the holy spirit of instruction flees deceitfulness, recoils from unintel igent thoughts, is thwarted by theonset of vice.
6 Jer mudrost je duh čovjekoljubiv, ali hulniku neće oprostiti njegovih riječi, jer Bog proniče bubrege njegove, istinski mu srce nadzire i sluša njegove riječi.	6 Wisdom is a spirit friendly to humanity, though she will not let a blasphemer's words go unpunished;since God observes the very soul and accurately surveys the heart, listening to every word.
7 Doista duh Gospodnji ispunja svemir, i on, koji drži sve, zna i sve što se govori.	7 For the spirit of the Lord fil s the world, and that which holds everything together knows every word said.
8 Zato ne ostaje skriven tko nepravedno govori niti će ga mimoići osvetnička pravda.	8 No one who speaks what is wrong will go undetected, nor will avenging Justice pass by such a one.
9 Jer se namisli bezbožnikove točno ispituju i glas riječi njegovih ide sve do Gospoda da se kazne bezakonja njegova.	9 For the schemes of the godless wil be examined, and a report of his words wil reach the Lord toconvict him of his crimes.
10 Jer postoji uho ljubomorno koje čuje sve i ne izmiče mu ni glasak najtišeg gunđanja.	10 There is a jealous ear that overhears everything, not even a murmur of complaint escapes it.
11 Čuvajte se isprazna gunđanja i čuvajte jezik od opakih riječi, jer i najtajnija riječ nije bez učinka, a lažljiva usta ubijaju dušu.	11 So beware of uttering frivolous complaints, restrain your tongue from finding fault; even what is said insecret has repercussions, and a lying mouth deals death to the soul.
12 Ne trčite za smrću stranputicama života svojeg i ne navlačite na se propast djelima ruku svojih.	12 Do not court death by the errors of your ways, nor invite destruction through the work of your hands.
13 Jer Bog nije stvorio smrt niti se raduje propasti živih.	13 For God did not make Death, he takes no pleasure in destroying the living.
14 Već je sve stvorio da sve opstane, i spasonosni su stvorovi svijeta, i u njima nema smrtonosna otrova. I podzemlje ne vlada zemljom,	14 To exist -- for this he created all things; the creatures of the world have health in them, in them is nofatal poison, and Hades has no power over the world:
15 jer pravednost je besmrtna.	15 for uprightness is immortal.
16 Ali bezbožnici dozivaju smrt i rukama i riječju i za njom ginu smatrajući je prijateljem i s njome ugovor sklapaju, dostojni da joj pripadaju.	16 But the godless cal for Death with deed and word, counting him friend, they wear themselves out forhim; with him they make a pact, worthy as they are to belong to him.
