1 Levant les yeux, il vit les riches qui mettaient leurs offrandes dans le Trésor.	1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2 Il vit aussi une veuve indigente qui y mettait deux piécettes,	2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3 et il dit: "Vraiment, je vous le dis, cette veuve qui est pauvre a mis plus qu'eux tous.	3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
4 Car tous ceux-là ont mis de leur superflu dans les offrandes, mais elle, de son dénuement, a mis tout cequ'elle avait pour vivre."	4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
5 Comme certains disaient du Temple qu'il était orné de belles pierres et d'offrandes votives, il dit:	5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6 "De ce que vous contemplez, viendront des jours où il ne restera pas pierre sur pierre qui ne soit jetéebas."	6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
7 Ils l'interrogèrent alors en disant: "Maître, quand donc cela aura-t-il lieu, et quel sera le signe que celaest sur le point d'arriver?"	7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8 Il dit: "Prenez garde de vous laisser abuser, car il en viendra beaucoup sous mon nom, qui diront: C'estmoi! et Le temps est tout proche. N'allez pas à leur suite.	8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
9 Lorsque vous entendrez parler de guerres et de désordres, ne vous effrayez pas; car il faut que celaarrive d'abord, mais ce ne sera pas de sitôt la fin."	9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10 Alors il leur disait: "On se dressera nation contre nation et royaume contre royaume.	10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11 Il y aura de grands tremblements de terre et, par endroits, des pestes et des famines; il y aura aussides phénomènes terribles et, venant du ciel, de grands signes.	11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12 "Mais, avant tout cela, on portera les mains sur vous, on vous persécutera, on vous livrera auxsynagogues et aux prisons, on vous traduira devant des rois et des gouverneurs à cause de mon Nom,	12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 et cela aboutira pour vous au témoignage.	13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Mettez-vous donc bien dans l'esprit que vous n'avez pas à préparer d'avance votre défense:	14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15 car moi je vous donnerai un langage et une sagesse, à quoi nul de vos adversaires ne pourra résister nicontredire.	15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 Vous serez livrés même par vos père et mère, vos frères, vos proches et vos amis; on fera mourirplusieurs d'entre vous,	16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 et vous serez haïs de tous à cause de mon nom.	17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 Mais pas un cheveu de votre tête ne se perdra.	18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19 C'est par votre constance que vous sauverez vos vies!	19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
20 "Mais lorsque vous verrez Jérusalem investie par des armées, alors comprenez que sa dévastation esttoute proche.	20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Alors, que ceux qui seront en Judée s'enfuient dans les montagnes, que ceux qui seront à l'intérieur dela ville s'en éloignent, et que ceux qui seront dans les campagnes n'y entrent pas;	21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 car ce seront des jours de vengeance, où devra s'accomplir tout ce qui a été écrit.	22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 Malheur à celles qui seront enceintes et à celles qui allaiteront en ces jours-là! "Car il y aura grandedétresse sur la terre et colère contre ce peuple.	23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24 Ils tomberont sous le tranchant du glaive et ils seront emmenés captifs dans toutes les nations, etJérusalem sera foulée aux pieds par des païens jusqu'à ce que soient accomplis les temps des païens.	24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25 "Et il y aura des signes dans le soleil, la lune et les étoiles. Sur la terre, les nations seront dansl'angoisse, inquiètes du fracas de la mer et des flots;	25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 des hommes défailliront de frayeur, dans l'attente de ce qui menace le monde habité, car lespuissances des cieux seront ébranlées.	26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 Et alors on verra le Fils de l'homme venant dans une nuée avec puissance et grande gloire.	27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Quand cela commencera d'arriver, redressez-vous et relevez la tête, parce que votre délivrance estproche."	28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29 Et il leur dit une parabole: "Voyez le figuier et les autres arbres.	29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 Dès qu'ils bourgeonnent, vous comprenez de vous-mêmes, en les regardant, que désormais l'été estproche.	30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 Ainsi vous, lorsque vous verrez cela arriver, comprenez que le Royaume de Dieu est proche.	31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 En vérité, je vous le dis, cette génération ne passera pas que tout ne soit arrivé.	32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 Le ciel et la terre passeront, mais mes paroles ne passeront point.	33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34 "Tenez-vous sur vos gardes, de peur que vos coeurs ne s'appesantissent dans la débauche,l'ivrognerie, les soucis de la vie, et que ce Jour-là ne fonde soudain sur vous	34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 comme un filet; car il s'abattra sur tous ceux qui habitent la surface de toute la terre.	35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Veillez donc et priez en tout temps, afin d'avoir la force d'échapper à tout ce qui doit arriver, et devous tenir debout devant le Fils de l'homme."	36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37 Pendant le jour, il était dans le Temple à enseigner; mais la nuit, il s'en allait la passer en plein air surle mont dit des Oliviers.	37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
38 Et, dès l'aurore, tout le peuple venait à lui dans le Temple pour l'écouter.	38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
