¹ A Psalm of David, in commemoration of the Sabbath.	¹ Salmo di David nella recordazione del sabbato.
² O Lord, do not rebuke me in your fury, nor chastise me in your wrath.	² Signore, non mi riprendere nel furore tuo; e nell'ira tua non mi castigare.
³ For your arrows have been driven into me, and your hand has been confirmed over me.	³ Però [che] in me ficcate sono le tue sagitte; e confirmasti sopra di me la tua mano.
⁴ There is no health in my flesh before the face of your wrath. There is no peace for my bones before the face of my sins.	⁴ Dalla faccia della tua ira non è sanità nella mia carne; dalla faccia de' miei peccati non è pace all' ossa mie.
⁵ For my iniquities have walked over my head, and they have been like a heavy burden weighing upon me.	⁵ Perchè le mie iniquità sono salite sopra il mio capo; come peso grave sono gravate sopra di me.
⁶ My sores have putrefied and been corrupted before the face of my foolishness.	⁶ Dalla faccia della mia ignoranza sono putrefatte e corrotte le mie cicatrici.
⁷ I have become miserable, and I have been bent down, even to the end. I have walked with contrition all day long.	⁷ Fatto son misero, e inchinato insino alla fine; tutto il giorno andava contristato.
⁸ For my loins have been filled with illusions, and there is no health in my flesh.	⁸ Però che [li] miei lombi sono pieni di scherni; e nella mia carne non è sanità.
⁹ I have been afflicted and greatly humbled. I bellowed from the groaning of my heart.	⁹ Sono afflitto, e molto umiliato; e dal pianto del mio cuore mugghiava.
¹⁰ O Lord, all my desire is before you, and my groaning before you has not been hidden.	¹⁰ Signore, ogni mio desiderio è avanti di te; e da te non è ascoso il mio pianto.
¹¹ My heart has been disturbed. My strength has abandoned me, and the light of my eyes has abandoned me, and it is not with me.	¹¹ Il mio cuore è conturbato; hammi abbandonato la virtù mia; e il lume degli occhi non è meco.
¹² My friends and my neighbors have drawn near and stood against me. And those who were next to me stood far apart. And those who sought my soul used violence.	¹² Li amici miei e i miei prossimi appropinquaronsi, e stettero contra di me. E quelli che appresso di me erano, stettero dalla lunga.
¹³ And those who sought evil accusations against me were speaking emptiness. And they practiced deceitfulness all day long.	¹³ E facevano forza coloro che cercavano l'anima mia. E cui mi cercavano i mali, hanno parlato le vanità; e pensavano tutto il giorno li inganni
¹⁴ But, like someone deaf, I did not hear. And I was like someone mute, not opening his mouth.	¹⁴ Ma io come sordo non udiva; e come muto non aprendo la sua booca.
¹⁵ And I became like a man who does not hear, and who has no reproofs in his mouth.	¹⁵ E fatto fui come uomo non udendo; e non avente le reprensioni nella sua bocca.
¹⁶ For in you, Lord, I have hoped. You will listen to me, O Lord my God.	¹⁶ Per che in te, Signore, sperai; tu [mi] esaudirai, o Signore Iddio.
¹⁷ For I said, “Lest at any time, my enemies might rejoice over me,” and, “While my feet are being shaken, they have spoken great things against me.”	¹⁷ Per che ho detto: chè per avventura non si rallegrino gli miei nemici sopra di me; e mentre si commovono i miei piedi, hanno parlato grandi cose sopra di me.
¹⁸ For I have been prepared for scourges, and my sorrow is ever before me.	¹⁸ Però ch' io son apparecchiato nelle battiture, e il mio dolore è sempre nel mio conspetto.
¹⁹ For I will announce my iniquity, and I will think about my sin.	¹⁹ Per che racconterò la mia iniquità; e penserò per il mio peccato.
²⁰ But my enemies live, and they have been stronger than me. And those who have wrongfully hated me have been multiplied.	²⁰ Ma i miei nemici vivono, e sono confortati sopra di me; e sono moltiplicati quelli che iniquamente hannomi odiato.
²¹ Those who render evil for good have dragged me down, because I followed goodness.	²¹ Quelli che rendono male per bene, a me detraevano; imperò ch' io seguiva la bontà.
²² Do not forsake me, O Lord my God. Do not depart from me.	²² Non mi abbandonare, Signore; non ti partire, Iddio mio, da me.
²³ Be attentive to my help, O Lord, the God of my salvation.	²³ Attendi al mio aiuto, Signore Iddio della salute mia.
