| 3 caminarán pueblos numerosos y dirán: | «Venid, subamos al monte del Señor, | a la casa del Dios de Jacob. | Él nos instruirá en sus caminos | y marcharemos por sus sendas; | porque de Sión saldrá la ley, | la palabra del Señor de Jerusalén». | 3 many peoples shall come and say: "Come, let us climb the LORD'S mountain, to the house of the God of Jacob, That he may instruct us in his ways, and we may walk in his paths." For from Zion shall go forth instruction, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. |
| 4 Juzgará entre las naciones, | será árbitro de pueblos numerosos. | De las espadas forjarán arados, | de las lanzas, podaderas. | No alzará la espada pueblo contra pueblo, | no se adiestrarán para la guerra. | 4 He shall judge between the nations, and impose terms on many peoples. They shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; One nation shall not raise the sword against another, nor shall they train for war again. |
| 5 Casa de Jacob, | venid; caminemos a la luz del Señor. | 5 O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the LORD! |
| 6 Has rechazado a tu pueblo, | a la casa de Jacob. | Porque están llenos de adivinos de Oriente | y de agoreros, como los filisteos, | y pactan con extranjeros. | 6 You have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with fortunetellers and soothsayers, like the Philistines; they covenant with strangers. |

| 9 Pues será doblegado el mortal, será humillado el hombre. | ¡No los perdones! | 9 But man is abased, each one brought low. (Do not pardon them!) |
| 10 Métete en las peñas, ocúltate en el polvo, | ante el terror del Señor | y ante la gloria de su majestad. | 10 Get behind the rocks, hide in the dust, From the terror of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty! |
| 11 Los ojos orgullosos serán humillados, | será doblegada la arrogancia humana; | solo el Señor será exaltado en aquel día, | 11 The haughty eyes of man will be lowered, the arrogance of men will be abased, and the LORD alone will be exalted, on that day. |
| 12 el Día del Señor del universo, | contra cuanto es orgulloso y arrogante, | contra cuanto es altanero —que será abajado—, | 12 For the LORD of hosts will have his day against all that is proud and arrogant, all that is high, and it will be brought low; |
| 13 contra todos los cedros del Líbano, | arrogantes y altaneros, | contra todas las encinas de Basán, | 13 Yes, against all the cedars of Lebanon and all the oaks of Bashan, |
| 14 contra todos los montes elevados, | contra todas las colinas encumbradas, | 14 Against all the lofty mountains and all the high hills, |
| 15 contra toda alta torre, | contra toda muralla inexpugnable, | 15 Against every lofty tower and every fortified wall, |
| 16 contra todas las naves de Tarsis, | contra todos los navíos opulentos. | 16 Against all the ships of Tarshish and all stately vessels. |
| 17 Será doblegado el orgullo del mortal, | será humillada la arrogancia humana; | solo el Señor será exaltado en aquel día, | 17 Human pride will be abased, the arrogance of men brought low, And the LORD alone will be exalted, on that day. |
| 18 y los ídolos desaparecerán. | 18 The idols will perish forever. |
| 19 Se meterán en las cuevas de las rocas, | en las grietas de la tierra, | ante el terror del Señor y la gloria de su majestad, | cuando se levante, aterrando al país. | 19 Men will go into caves in the rocks and into holes in the earth, From the terror of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he arises to overawe the earth. |
| 20 Aquel día cada cual arrojará | a los topos y a los murciélagos | sus ídolos de plata y sus ídolos de oro, | que se había fabricado para postrarse ante ellos, | 20 On that day men will throw to the moles and the bats the idols of silver and gold which they made for worship. |
| 21 y se meterá en las grutas de las rocas | y en las hendiduras de las peñas, | ante el terror del Señor, y la gloria de su majestad, | cuando se levante, aterrando el país. | 21 They go into caverns in the rocks and into crevices in the cliffs, From the terror of the LORD and the splendor of his majesty, when he arises to overawe the earth. |
| 22 Manteneos distantes de los hombres, | en cuya nariz no hay más que un soplo: | ¿en cuánto pueden ser estimados? | 22 As for you, let man alone, in whose nostrils is but a breath; for what is he worth? |
