1 Todo la comunidad de los israelitas se reunió en Silo, donde alzaron la Tienda del Encuentro; todo el país les estaba sometido.	1 After they had subdued the land, the whole community of the Israelites assembled at Shiloh, where they set up the meeting tent.
2 Pero quedaban todavía entre los israelitas siete tribus que no se habían repartido su heredad.	2 Seven tribes among the Israelites had not yet received their heritage.
3 Josué, pues, dijo a los israelitas: «¿Hasta cuándo vais a retardar el ir a tomar posesión de la tierra que os ha dado Yahveh, el Dios de vuestros padres?	3 Joshua therefore said to the Israelites, "How much longer will you put off taking steps to possess the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?
4 Escoged tres hombres por cada tribu, y los enviaré para que vayan a recorrer el país y hagan una descripción de él en orden al reparto; luego volverán donde mí.	4 Choose three men from each of your tribes; I will commission them to begin a survey of the land, which they shall describe for purposes of inheritance. When they return to me
5 Dividirán la tierra en siete partes. Judá se quedará en su territorio al sur y la casa de José se quedará en su territorio al norte.	5 you shall divide it into seven parts. Judah is to retain its territory in the south, and the house of Joseph its territory in the north.
6 Vosotros haréis una descripcíon del país en siete partes, y me la traeréis para que os la sortee aquí, en presencia de Yahveh nuestro Dios.	6 You shall bring here to me the description of the land in seven sections. I will then cast lots for you here before the LORD, our God.
7 Porque los levitas no tienen su parte entre vosotros, pues el sacerdocio de Yahveh es su heredad; y Gad, Rubén y la media tribu de Manasés, han recibido ya al lado oriental del Jordán, la heredad que les dio Moisés, siervo de Yahveh».	7 For the Levites have no share among you, because the priesthood of the LORD is their heritage; while Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have already received the heritage east of the Jordan which Moses, the servant of the LORD, gave them."
8 Los hombres se pusieron en camino. Josué dio esta orden a los que iban a hacer la descripción del país: «Id, recorred el país y describidlo, y después volved donde mí; yo os haré el sorteo de la tierra aquí delante de Yahveh, en Silo».	8 When those who were to map out the land were ready for the journey, Joshua instructed them to survey the land, prepare a description of it, and return to him; then he would cast lots for them there before the LORD in Shiloh.
9 Fueron los hombres, recorrieron la comarca, y la describieron ciudad por ciudad, en siete partes, en un escrito que llevaron a Josué, al campamento de Silo.	9 So they went through the land, listed its cities in writing in seven sections, and returned to Joshua in the camp at Shiloh.
10 Josué les echó suertes en Silo, delante de Yahveh, y repartió allí la tierra entre los israelitas, conforme a sus particiones.	10 Joshua then divided up the land for the Israelites into their separate shares, casting lots for them before the LORD in Shiloh.
11 Tocó una suerte a la tribu de los hijos de Benjamin por clanes: los límites de su suerte resultaron comprendidos entre los de los hijos de Judá y los de los hijos de José.	11 One lot fell to the clans of the tribe of Benjaminites. The territory allotted them lay between the descendants of Judah and those of Joseph.
12 Su límite, por el lado norte, partía del Jordán, subía por el flanco norte de Jericó, hasta alcanzar la montaña hacia el oeste, y venía a salir al desierto de Bet Avén.	12 Their northern boundary began at the Jordan and went over the northern flank of Jericho, up westward into the mountains, till it reached the desert of Beth-aven.
13 De allí pasaba el límite hacia Luz, por el flanco sur de Luz, que es Betel, y bajaba a Atrot Addar sobre el monte que está al sur de Bet Jorón de Abajo.	13 From there it crossed over to the southern flank of Luz (that is, Bethel). Then it ran down to Ataroth-addar, on the mountaintop south of Lower Beth-horon.
14 Torcía el límite y volvía por el oeste hacia el sur, desde el monte que está al lado meridional de Bet Jorón, para ir a salir hacia Quiryat Baal, que es Quiryat Yearim, ciudad de los hijos de Judá. Ese era el lado oeste.	14 For the western border, the boundary line swung south from the mountaintop opposite Bethhoron till it reached Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), which city belonged to the Judahites. This was the western boundary.
15 Y el lado sur: desde el extremo de Quiryat Yearim, el límite seguía hacia Gasín y salía cerca de la fuente de las aguas de Neftóaj,	15 The southern boundary began at the limits of Kiriath-jearim and projected to the spring at Nephtoah.
16 luego bajaba hacia el extremo del monte que está frente al valle de Ben Hinnom, al norte del valle de Refaím, bajaba al valle de Hinnom por el flanco sur del jebuseo y seguía bajando hasta En Roguel.	16 It went down to the edge of the mountain on the north of the Valley of Rephaim, where it faces the Valley of Ben-hinnom; and continuing down the Valley of Hinnom along the southern flank of the Jebusites, reached En-rogel.
17 Doblaba luego por el norte, salía en En Semes y salía hacia el círculo de piedras que hay frente a la subida de Adummim; bajaba a la Peña de Boján, hijo de Rubén;	17 Inclining to the north, it extended to En-shemesh, and thence to Geliloth, opposite the pass of Adummim. Then it dropped to Eben-Bohan-ben-Reuben,
18 pasaba luego hacia la vertiente de Bet Haarabá por el norte y bajaba hacia la Arabá;	18 across the northern flank of the Arabah overlook, down into the Aarabah.
19 pasaba el límite hacia la pendiente de Bet Joglá al norte, e iba a dar el límite a la lengua septentrional del mar de la Sal, en el extremo sur del Jordán. Ese era el límite meridional.	19 From there the boundary continued across the northern flank of Beth-hoglah and extended to the northern tip of the Salt Sea, at the southern end of the Jordan. This was the southern boundary.
20 El Jordán era el límite del lado oriental. Esa fue la heredad de los hijos de Benjamín, conforme a sus clanes, con los límites que la rodean.	20 The Jordan bounded it on the east. This was how the heritage of the clans of the Benjaminites was bounded on all sides.
21 Las ciudades de la tribu de los hijos de Benjamín, por clanes, fueron: Jericó, Bet Joglá, Emeq Quesís;	21 Now the cities belonging to the clans of the tribe of the Benjaminites were: Jericho, Beth-hoglah, Emek-keziz,
22 Bet Haarabá, Semaráyim, Betel;	22 Beth-arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,
23 Avvim, Pará, Ofrá;	23 Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,
24 Kefar Haamoní, Ofní, Gabá: doce ciudades con sus aldeas.	24 Chephar-ammoni, Ophni and Geba; twelve cities and their villages.
25 Gabaón, Ramá, Beerot,	25 Also Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,
26 Mispé, Kefirá, Mosá;	26 Mizpeh, Chephirah, Mozah,
27 Réquem, Yirpeel, Taralá;	27 Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,
28 Sela Haalef, el Jebuseo, es decir Jerusalén, Guibeá y Quiryat: catorce ciudades con sus aldeas. Esa fue la heredad de los hijos de Benjamín, por clanes.	28 Zela, Haeleph, the Jebusite city (that is, Jerusalem), Gibeah and Kiriath; fourteen cities and their villages. This was the heritage of the clans of Benjaminites.
