Miqueas 5

1 Mas tú, Belén Efratá, aunque eres la menor entre las familias de Judá, de ti me ha de salir aquel que ha de dominar en Israel, y cuyos orígenes son de antigüedad, desde los días de antaño.	1 Now you will be devastated, you daughter of a robber. 2 Por eso él los abandonará hasta el tiempo en que dé a luz la que ha de dar a luz. 3 El se alzará y pastoreará con el poder de Yahveh, con la majestad del nombre de Yahveh su Dios. 4 El será la Paz. 5 Ellos pastorearán el país de Asur con espada, y el país de Nemrod con acero. El nos librará de Asur, si invade nuestra tierra, y huella nuestro término.	5 And this man will be our peace, when the Assyrian will come into our land, and when he will trample on our houses; and we will raise against him seven shepherds and eight principal men.
6 Y será el Resto de Jacob, en medio de pueblos numerosos, como rocío que viene de Yahveh, como lluvia sobre la hierba, él, que no espera en el hombre ni aguarda nada de los hijos de hombre.	6 And they will graze on the land of Assur with the sword, and the land of Nimrod with its spears; and he will free us from Assur, when he will come into our land, and when he will trample our borders.
7 Será entonces el Resto de Jacob entre las naciones, en medio de pueblos numerosos, como león entre las bestias de la selva, como leoncillo entre los rebaños de ganado menor, que si pasa, pisotea, y si desgarra, no hay quien libre.	7 And there will be a remnant of Jacob in the midst of many peoples, like a dew from the Lord and like drops upon the grass, which awaits no man and does not stand before the sons of men.
8 ¡Que tu mano se alce contra los adversarios y todos tus enemigos sean extirpados!	8 And there will be a remnant of Jacob within the Gentiles, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forests, and like a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, when he will pass through and trample down and seize, there is none who can rescue.
9 Y sucederá aquel día - oráculo de Yahveh - que yo extirparé de en medio de ti tus caballos, y haré desaparecer tus carros;	9 Your hand will be exalted over your enemies, and all your adversaries will pass away.
10 extirparé las ciudades de tu tierra, y demoleré todas tus fortalezas;	10 And it will be in that day, says the Lord: I will take away your horses from your midst, and I will utterly ruin your four-horse chariots.
11 extirparé de tu mano las hechicerías, y no habrá para ti más adivinos;	11 And I will destroy the cities of your land, and I will pull down all your fortifications, and I will take away evil-doing from your hand, and there will be no divinations among you.
12 extirparé tus estatuas y tus estelas de en medio de ti, y ya no podrás postrarte más ante la obra de tus manos,	12 And I will cause your graven images to perish, and your statues, from your midst. And you will no longer adore the works of your hands.
13 arrancaré de en medio de ti tus cipos y aniquilaré tus ídolos.	13 And I will root out your sacred groves from your midst, and I will crush your cities.
14 ¡Venganza tomaré con cólera y furor de las naciones que no escucharon!	14 And I will exact vengeance, in fury and in indignation, among all the nations which have not listened.
