Tobías 11

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Cuando llegaron cerca de Kaserín, que está frente a Nínive,	1 They were nearly at Kaserin, opposite Nineveh,

Y así tu padre podrá mirar y ver la luz».	8 You must put the fish's gal to his eyes; the medicine wil smart and wil draw a filmy white skin off hiseyes. And your father wil no more be blind but will be able to see the light.'
9 Corrió Ana y se echó al cuello de su hijo, diciendo: «¡Ya te he visto, hijo! ¡Ya puedo morir!» Y rompió a llorar.	9 The mother ran forward and threw her arms round her son's neck. 'Now I can die,' she said, 'I haveseen you again.' And she wept.
10 Tobit se levantó y trompicando salió a la puerta del patio.	10 Tobit rose to his feet and stumbled across the courtyard through the door. Tobias came on towardshim
11 Corrió hacia él Tobías, llevando en la mano la hiel del pez; le sopló en los ojos y abrazándole estrechamente le dijo: «¡Ten confianza, padre!» Y le aplicó el remedio y esperó;	11 (he had the fish's gal in his hand). He blew into his eyes and said, steadying him, 'Take courage,father!' With this he applied the medicine, left it there a while,
12 y luego, con ambas manos le quitó las escamas de la comisura de los ojos.	12 then with both hands peeled away a filmy skin from the corners of his eyes.
13 Entonces él se arrojó a su cuello, lloró y le dijo: «¡Ahora te veo, hijo, luz de mis ojos!»	13 Then his father fel on his neck
14 Y añadió: ¡Bendito sea Dios! ¡Bendito su gran Nombre! ¡Bendito todos sus santos ángeles! ¡Bendito su gran Nombre por todos los siglos!	14 and wept. He exclaimed, 'I can see you, my son, the light of my eyes!' And he said: Blessed be God!Blessed be his great name! Blessed be all his holy angels! Blessed be his great name for evermore!
15 Porque me había azotado, pero me tiene piedad y ahora veo a mi hijo Tobías. Tobías entró en casa lleno de gozo y bendiciendo a Dios con toda su voz; luego contó a su padre el éxito de su viaje, cómo traía el dinero y cómo se había casado con Sarra, la hija de Ragüel, y que venía ella con él y estaba ya a las puertas de Nínive.	15 For, having afflicted me, he has had pity on me and now I see my son Tobias! Tobias went indoors,joyfully blessing God at the top of his voice. Then he told his father everything; how his journey had beensuccessful and he had brought the silver back; how he had married Sarah the daughter of Raguel; how she wasfol owing him now, close behind, and could not be far from the gates of Nineveh.
16 Tobit salió al encuentro de su nuera hasta las puertas de Nínive, bendiciendo a Dios, lleno de gozo. Cuando los de Nínive le vieron caminar, avanzando con su antigua firmeza, sin necesidad de lazarillo, se maravillaron. Tobit proclamó delante de ellos que Dios se había compadecido de él y le había abierto los ojos.	16 Tobit set off to the gates of Nineveh to meet his daughter-in-law, giving joyful praise to God as hewent. When the people of Nineveh saw him walking without a guide and stepping forward as briskly as of old,they were astonished.
17 Se acercó Tobit a Sarra, la mujer de su hijo, y la bendijo diciendo: «¡Bienvenida seas, hija! Y bendito sea tu Dios, hija, que te ha traído hasta nosotros. Bendito sea tu padre, y bendito Tobías, mi hijo, y bendita tú misma, hija. Bienvenida seas, entra en tu casa con gozo y bendición».	17 Tobit described to them how God had taken pity on him and had opened his eyes. Then Tobit metSarah the bride of his son Tobias, and blessed her in these words. 'Welcome, daughter! Blessed be your God forsending you to us, my daughter. Blessings on your father, blessings on my son Tobias, blessings on yourself,my daughter. Welcome now to your own house in joyfulness and in blessedness. Come in, my daughter.' Thatday brought joy to the Jews of Nineveh,
18 Todos los judíos de Nínive celebraron fiesta aquel día.	18 and his cousins Ahikar and Nadab came to share in Tobit's happiness.
19 También Ajikar y Nabad, primos de Tobit, vinieron a congratularle.
