BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Construyó también un altar de bronce de veinte codos de largo, veinte codos de ancho y diez codos de alto.	1 He made a bronze altar, twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and ten cubits high.
2 Hizo el Mar de metal fundido, de diez codos de borde a borde. Era enteramente redondo y de cinco codos de alto. Un cordón de treinta codos medía su contorno.	2 He made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from rim to rim, circular in shape and five cubits high; a cordthirty cubits long gave the measurement of its girth.
3 Debajo del borde había en todo el contorno unas como figuras de bueyes, diez por cada codo, colocadas en dos órdenes, fundidas en una sola masa.	3 Under it and completely encircling it were things like oxen, ten to the cubit round the entire Sea; theoxen were in two rows, of one and the same casting with the rest.
4 Se apoyaba sobre doce bueyes; tres mirando al norte, tres mirando al oeste, tres mirando al sur y tres mirando al este. El Mar estaba sobre ellos, quedando sus partes traseras hacia el interior.	4 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, three facing east; onthese, their hindquarters al turned inwards, stood the Sea.
5 Su espesor era de un palmo, y su borde como el borde del cáliz de la flor de lirio. Cabían en él 3.000 medidas.	5 It was a hand's breadth in thickness, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup-lily-shaped. It couldhold three thousand bat.
6 Hizo diez pilas para las abluciones y colocó cinco de ellas a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda para lavar en ellas lo que se ofrecía en holocausto. El Mar era para las abluciones de los sacerdotes.	6 He made ten basins, putting five on the right and five on the left, for washing in; the things to be offeredas burnt offerings were to be rinsed in these, but the Sea was for the priests to wash in.
7 Hizo diez candelabros de oro según la forma prescrita, y los colocó en el Hekal, cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda.	7 He made the ten golden lamp-stands according to the pattern and placed them in the Hekal, five on theright and five on the left.
8 Hizo diez mesas, que puso en el Hekal, cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda. Hizo también cien acetres de oro.	8 He made ten tables which he set up in the Hekal, five on the right and five on the left. He also made ahundred golden sprinkling bowls.
9 Construyó también el atrio de los sacerdotes y el atrio grande con sus puertas, revistiendo las puertas de bronce.	9 He made the court of the priests and the great court with its gates and plated the gates with bronze.
10 Colocó el Mar al lado derecho, hacia el sureste.	10 The Sea he placed on the right-hand side of the Temple, to the south-east.
11 Juram hizo también los ceniceros, las paletas y los acetres. Así concluyó Juram la obra que le había encargado el rey Salomón en la Casa de Dios:	11 Huram made the ash containers, the scoops and the sprinkling bowls. Thus Huram completed al thework done for King Solomon for the Temple of God:
12 Las dos columnas; las molduras de los capiteles que coronaban las columnas; los dos trenzados para cubrir las dos molduras de los capiteles que estaban sobre las columnas;	12 the two pillars; the mouldings of the capitals surmounting the two pil ars; the two sets of filigree tocover the two mouldings of the capitals surmounting the pil ars;
13 las cuatrocientas granadas para cada trenzado;	13 the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of filigree -- two rows of pomegranates for each set offiligree;
14 las diez basas, y las diez pilas sobre las basas;	14 the ten stands and the ten basins on the stands;

16 los ceniceros, las paletas y los acetres. Todos estos utensilios los hizo Juram Abí para el rey Salomón, para la Casa de Yahveh, de bronce bruñido.	16 the ash containers, scoops and forks. Al these utensils made by Huram-Abi for King Solomon for theTemple of Yahweh were of burnished bronze.
17 El rey los hizo fundir en la vega del Jordán, en el mismo suelo, entre Sukkot y Seredá.	17 The King made them by the process of sand casting, in the plain of the Jordan between Succoth andZeredah.
18 Salomón fabricó todos estos utensilios en tan enorme cantidad que no se pudo calcular el peso del bronce.	18 There was such an enormous quantity of them that the weight of the bronze could not be calculated.
19 Salomón hizo todos los objetos destinados a la Casa de Dios: el altar de oro, las mesas para el pan de la Presencia,	19 Solomon made al the objects designed for the Temple of God, as wel as the golden altar and thetables for the loaves of permanent offering;
20 los candelabros con sus lámparas de oro fino, para que ardieran, según el rito, delante del Debir;	20 the lamp-stands with their lamps to burn, as prescribed, in front of the Debir, of pure gold;
21 las flores, las lámparas y las despabiladeras de oro, de oro purísimo;	21 the floral work, the lamps, the tongs, of gold (and it was pure gold);
22 y los cuchillos, los acetres, los vasos y los braseros, de oro puro. Eran también de oro las puertas interiores de la Casa a la entrada del Santo de los Santos, y las puertas de la Casa para el Hekal.	22 the snuffers, the sprinkling bowls, incense ladles and the pans, of real gold; and the entrance to theTemple, the inner doors (for the Holy of Holies) and the doors of the Temple itself, that is of the Hekal, were alsomade of gold.
