| 2 y subió el rey a la Casa de Yahveh con todos los hombres de Judá y todos los habitantes de Jerusalén; los sacerdotes, los profetas y todo el pueblo desde el menor al mayor; y leyó a sus oídos todas las palabras del libro de la alianza hallado en la Casa de Yahveh. | 2 And the king went up to the house of the LORD, and with him all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests and the prophets, all the people, both small and great; and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant which had been found in the house of the LORD. |
| 3 El rey estaba de pie junto a la columna; hizo en presencia de Yahveh la alianza para andar tras de Yahveh y guardar sus mandamientos, sus testimonios y sus preceptos con todo el corazón y toda el alma, y para poner en vigor las palabras de esta alianza escritas en este libro. Todo el pueblo confirmó la alianza. | 3 And the king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book; and all the people joined in the covenant. |

| 13 El rey profanó los altos que estaban frente a Jerusalén, al sur del Monte de los Olivos, que Salomón, rey de Israel, había construido a Astarté, monstruo abominable de los sidonios, a Kemós, monstruo abominable de Moab, y a Milkom, abominación de los amonitas. | 13 And the king defiled the high places that were east of Jerusalem, to the south of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. |
