1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:
2 "Make two silver trumpets; of hammered work you shall make them; and you shall use them for summoning the congregation, and for breaking camp.	2 Mach dir zwei silberne Trompeten! Aus getriebenem Metall sollst du sie machen. Sie sollen dir dazu dienen, die Gemeinde einzuberufen und den einzelnen Lagern das Zeichen zum Aufbruch zu geben.
3 And when both are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the entrance of the tent of meeting.	3 Wenn man mit den Trompeten bläst, soll sich die ganze Gemeinde am Eingang des Offenbarungszeltes bei dir versammeln.
4 But if they blow only one, then the leaders, the heads of the tribes of Israel, shall gather themselves to you.	4 Wenn man nur einmal bläst, sollen sich die Befehlshaber, die Hauptleute der Tausendschaften Israels, bei dir versammeln.
5 When you blow an alarm, the camps that are on the east side shall set out.	5 Wenn ihr aber mit großem Lärm blast, dann sollen die Lager auf der Ostseite aufbrechen.
6 And when you blow an alarm the second time, the camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out.	6 Wenn ihr zum zweiten Mal mit großem Lärm blast, dann sollen die Lager auf der Südseite aufbrechen. Je nachdem, wie sie aufzubrechen haben, soll man mit großem Lärm blasen.
7 But when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall blow, but you shall not sound an alarm.	7 Wenn die Versammlung einberufen werden soll, dann blast, aber nicht mit großem Lärm!
8 And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. The trumpets shall be to you for a perpetual statute throughout your generations.	8 Die Söhne Aarons, die Priester, sollen die Trompeten blasen. Das soll als feste Regel bei euch gelten, von Generation zu Generation.
9 And when you go to war in your land against the adversary who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies.	9 Wenn ihr in eurem Land in einen Krieg mit einem Gegner verwickelt werdet, der euch bedrängt, dann blast mit euren Trompeten Alarm! So werdet ihr euch beim Herrn, eurem Gott, in Erinnerung bringen und vor euren Feinden gerettet werden.
10 On the day of your gladness also, and at your appointed feasts, and at the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; they shall serve you for remembrance before your God: I am the LORD your God."	10 Auch an euren Freudentagen, an den Festen und Monatsanfängen, blast zu euren Brand- und Heilsopfern mit den Trompeten! Das wird euch bei eurem Gott in Erinnerung bringen. Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott.
11 In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony,	11 Am zwanzigsten Tag des zweiten Monats im zweiten Jahr erhob sich die Wolke über der Wohnstätte der Bundesurkunde.
12 and the people of Israel set out by stages from the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud settled down in the wilderness of Paran.	12 Da brachen die Israeliten von der Wüste Sinai auf, wie es die Ordnung für den Aufbruch vorsah, und die Wolke ließ sich in der Wüste Paran nieder.
13 They set out for the first time at the command of the LORD by Moses.	13 So brachen sie zum ersten Mal auf, wie ihnen der Herr durch Mose befohlen hatte.
14 The standard of the camp of the men of Judah set out first by their companies; and over their host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.	14 Als Erstes brach das Feldzeichen des Lagers Juda auf, nach Abteilungen geordnet. Judas Heer befehligte Nachschon, der Sohn Amminadabs.
15 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.	15 Das Heer des Stammes der Issachariter befehligte Netanel, der Sohn Zuars.
16 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.	16 Das Heer des Stammes der Sebuloniter befehligte Eliab, der Sohn Helons.
17 And when the tabernacle was taken down, the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who carried the tabernacle, set out.	17 Nach dem Abbau der Wohnstätte brachen die Gerschoniter und die Merariter auf, die die Wohnstätte trugen.
18 And the standard of the camp of Reuben set out by their companies; and over their host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.	18 Dann brach das Feldzeichen des Lagers der Rubeniter auf, nach Abteilungen geordnet. Rubens Heer befehligte Elizur, der Sohn Schedëurs.
19 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Simeon was Shelumi-el the son of Zurishaddai.	19 Das Heer des Stammes der Simeoniter befehligte Schelumiël, der Sohn Zurischaddais.
20 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.	20 Das Heer des Stammes der Gaditer befehligte Eljasaf, der Sohn Reguëls.
21 Then the Kohathites set out, carrying the holy things, and the tabernacle was set up before their arrival.	21 Dann brachen die Kehatiter auf, die das Heiligtum trugen. Die Wohnstätte stellte man auf, bevor sie ankamen.
22 And the standard of the camp of the men of Ephraim set out by their companies; and over their host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.	22 Dann brach das Feldzeichen des Lagers der Efraimiter auf, nach Abteilungen geordnet. Efraims Heer befehligte Elischama, der Sohn Ammihuds.
23 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.	23 Das Heer des Stammes der Manassiter befehligte Gamliël, der Sohn Pedazurs.
24 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.	24 Das Heer des Stammes der Benjaminiter befehligte Abidan, der Sohn Gidonis.
25 Then the standard of the camp of the men of Dan, acting as the rear guard of all the camps, set out by their companies; and over their host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.	25 Dann brach das Feldzeichen des Lagers der Daniter auf; sie bildeten die Nachhut aller nach Abteilungen geordneten Lager. Das Heer Dans befehligte Ahiëser, der Sohn Ammischaddais.
26 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran.	26 Das Heer des Stammes der Ascheriter befehligte Pagiël, der Sohn Ochrans.
27 And over the host of the tribe of the men of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.	27 Das Heer des Stammes der Naftaliter befehligte Ahira, der Sohn Enans.
28 This was the order of march of the people of Israel according to their hosts, when they set out.	28 Das war die Ordnung für den Aufbruch der Israeliten, geordnet nach Abteilungen. So brachen sie auf.
29 And Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, "We are setting out for the place of which the LORD said, 'I will give it to you'; come with us, and we will do you good; for the LORD has promised good to Israel."	29 Mose sagte zu Hobab, dem Sohn des Midianiters Reguël, seines Schwiegervaters: Wir brechen auf zu dem Ort, von dem der Herr gesagt hat: Ihn gebe ich euch. Geh mit uns! Wir werden dir Gutes tun; denn der Herr hat zugesagt, Israel Gutes zu tun.
30 But he said to him, "I will not go; I will depart to my own land and to my kindred."	30 Hobab erwiderte ihm: Ich gehe nicht mit, sondern ich gehe in mein Land und zu meiner Verwandtschaft zurück.
31 And he said, "Do not leave us, I pray you, for you know how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and you will serve as eyes for us.	31 Da sagte Mose: Verlass uns doch nicht! Denn du kennst die Orte in der Wüste, an denen wir unser Lager aufschlagen können; du kannst unser Auge sein.
32 And if you go with us, whatever good the LORD will do to us, the same will we do to you."	32 Wenn du also mitgehst, dann werden wir all das Gute, das der Herr uns schenkt, mit dir teilen.
33 So they set out from the mount of the LORD three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting place for them.	33 Sie brachen vom Berg des Herrn auf und zogen drei Tagesmärsche weit. Die Bundeslade des Herrn zog drei Tage lang vor ihnen her, um einen Rastplatz für sie zu erkunden.
34 And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day, whenever they set out from the camp.	34 Die Wolke des Herrn war bei Tag über ihnen, wenn sie vom Lager aufbrachen.
35 And whenever the ark set out, Moses said, "Arise, O LORD, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee."	35 Wenn die Lade aufbrach, sagte Mose:Steh auf, Herr, dann zerstreuen sich deine Feinde, dann fliehen deine Gegner vor dir.
36 And when it rested, he said, "Return, O LORD, to the ten thousand thousands of Israel."	36 Und wenn man Halt machte, sagte er: Lass dich nieder, Herr, bei den zehntausendmal Tausenden Israels!
