1 To the choirmaster: for the flutes. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O LORD; give heed to my groaning.	1 - Al corifeo: su flauti. Salmo di David.
2 Hearken to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to thee do I pray.	2 Alle mie parole presta orecchio, o Signore, intendi il mio grido,
3 O LORD, in the morning thou dost hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for thee, and watch.	3 bada alla voce della mia supplica, o mio re e mio Dio.
4 For thou art not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not sojourn with thee.	4 Perchè a te inalzo la preghiera, o Signore; la mattina tu ascolti la mia voce.
5 The boastful may not stand before thy eyes; thou hatest all evildoers.	5 La mattina a te mi presentoe guardo [in attesa d'aiuto]. Perchè non un Dio tu sei che si compiace dell'iniquità,
6 Thou destroyest those who speak lies; the LORD abhors bloodthirsty and deceitful men.	6 nè alloggia presso di te il perfido, nè reggono i ribaldidinanzi ai tuoi occhi.
7 But I through the abundance of thy steadfast love will enter thy house, I will worship toward thy holy temple in the fear of thee.	7 Tu odii tutti gli operatori d'iniquità, e disperdi tutti quei che parlan menzogna. L'uomo di sangue e di frodel'abomina il Signore.
8 Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of my enemies; make thy way straight before me.	8 Ma io per l'abbondanza di tua misericordia, entro nella tua casa, mi prostro verso il tuo santo tempionel timore tuo.
9 For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is destruction, their throat is an open sepulchre, they flatter with their tongue.	9 Signore, guidami tu, nella tua giustizia, a cagione de' miei nemici: dirigi tu al tuo cospetto la mia via.
10 Make them bear their guilt, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; because of their many transgressions cast them out, for they have rebelled against thee.	10 Perchè non v' è sincerità nella lor bocca, il loro cuore è vano [e maligno],
11 But let all who take refuge in thee rejoice, let them ever sing for joy; and do thou defend them, that those who love thy name may exult in thee.	11 un sepolcro aperto è la loro gola, con le loro lingue tramano inganni. Giudicali [e puniscili], o Dio: falliscano ne' loro disegni! Per le tante empietà loro disperdili, poichè ti provocano a sdegno, o Signore.
12 For thou dost bless the righteous, O LORD; thou dost cover him with favor as with a shield.	12 E si allietino quanti sperano in te, esultino in eterno! E abita tra loro; e si glorino in te, quanti amano il tuo nome!
	13 Perchè tu benedici il giusto, o Signore; come d'uno scudo, della tua benevolenza lo cingi.
