1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me;	1 Psaume de David lorsqu'il fuyait devant Absalom son fils.
2 many are saying of me, there is no help for him in God. [Selah]	2 Seigneur, pourquoi ceux qui me persécutent se sont-ils multipliés? * Une multitude s'élève contre moi.
3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.	3 Beaucoup disent à mon âme: * Il n'y a pas de salut pour elle dans son Dieu.
4 I cry aloud to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy hill. [Selah]	4 Mais Vous, Seigneur, Vous êtes mon protecteur et ma gloire, * et Vous relevez ma tête.
5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, for the LORD sustains me.	5 De ma voix j'ai crié vers le Seigneur, * et Il m'a exaucé du haut de Sa montagne sainte.
6 I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.	6 Je me suis endormi, et j'ai été assoupi; * et je me suis levé, parce que le Seigneur a été mon soutien.
7 Arise, O LORD! Deliver me, O my God! For thou dost smite all my enemies on the cheek, thou dost break the teeth of the wicked.	7 Je ne craindrai point les milliers d'hommes du peuple qui m'environnent. * Levez-Vous, Seigneur; sauvez-moi, mon Dieu.
8 Deliverance belongs to the LORD; thy blessing be upon thy people! [Selah]	8 Car Vous avez frappé tous ceux qui s'opposaient à moi sans raison; * Vous avez brisé les dents des pécheurs.
	9 Le salut vient du Seigneur; * et c'est Vous qui bénissez Votre peuple.
