1 A Song. A Psalm of David. My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast! I will sing and make melody! Awake, my soul!	1 Canto. Salmo. Di Davide.
2 Awake, O harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn!	2 Saldo è il mio cuore, o Dio,saldo è il mio cuore.Voglio cantare, voglio inneggiare:svégliati, mio cuore,
3 I will give thanks to thee, O LORD, among the peoples, I will sing praises to thee among the nations.	3 svegliatevi, arpa e cetra,voglio svegliare l’aurora.
4 For thy steadfast love is great above the heavens, thy faithfulness reaches to the clouds.	4 Ti loderò fra i popoli, Signore,a te canterò inni fra le nazioni:
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let thy glory be over all the earth!	5 grande fino ai cieli è il tuo amoree la tua fedeltà fino alle nubi.
6 That thy beloved may be delivered, give help by thy right hand, and answer me!	6 Innàlzati sopra il cielo, o Dio;su tutta la terra la tua gloria!
7 God has promised in his sanctuary: "With exultation I will divide up Shechem, and portion out the Vale of Succoth.	7 Perché siano liberati i tuoi amici,salvaci con la tua destra e rispondici.
8 Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet; Judah my scepter.	8 Dio ha parlato nel suo santuario:«Esulto e divido Sichem,spartisco la valle di Succot.
9 Moab is my washbasin; upon Edom I cast my shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph."	9 Mio è Gàlaad, mio è Manasse,Èfraim è l’elmo del mio capo,Giuda lo scettro del mio comando.
10 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom?	10 Moab è il catino per lavarmi,su Edom getterò i miei sandali,sulla Filistea canterò vittoria».
11 Hast thou not rejected us, O God? Thou dost not go forth, O God, with our armies.	11 Chi mi condurrà alla città fortificata,chi potrà guidarmi fino al paese di Edom,
12 O grant us help against the foe, for vain is the help of man!	12 se non tu, o Dio, che ci hai respintie più non esci, o Dio, con le nostre schiere?
13 With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.	13 Nell’oppressione vieni in nostro aiuto,perché vana è la salvezza dell’uomo.
	14 Con Dio noi faremo prodezze,egli calpesterà i nostri nemici.
