1 But in the seventh year Jehoiada took courage, and entered into a compact with the commanders of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, Azariah the son of Obed, Ma-aseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri.	1 Εν δε τω εβδομω ετει εκραταιωθη ο Ιωδαε, και λαβων τους εκατονταρχους, Αζαριαν τον υιον του Ιεροαμ και Ισμαηλ τον υιον του Ιωαναν και Αζαριαν τον υιον του Ωβηδ και Μαασιαν τον υιον του Αδαιου και Ελισαφατ τον υιον του Ζιχρι, εκαμε συνθηκην μετ' αυτων.
2 And they went about through Judah and gathered the Levites from all the cities of Judah, and the heads of fathers' houses of Israel, and they came to Jerusalem.	2 Και περιηλθον τον Ιουδαν και συνηγαγον τους Λευιτας εκ πασων των πολεων του Ιουδα και τους αρχηγους των πατριων του Ισραηλ, και ηλθον εις Ιερουσαλημ.
3 And all the assembly made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And Jehoiada said to them, "Behold, the king's son! Let him reign, as the LORD spoke concerning the sons of David.	3 Και πασα η συναξις εκαμε συνθηκην μετα του βασιλεως εν τω οικω του Θεου. Και ειπε προς αυτους, Ιδου, ο υιος του βασιλεως θελει βασιλευσει, καθως ελαλησε Κυριος περι των υιων του Δαβιδ.
4 This is the thing that you shall do: of you priests and Levites who come off duty on the sabbath, one third shall be gatekeepers,	4 Τουτο ειναι το πραγμα, το οποιον θελετε καμει? το τριτον απο σας οι εισερχομενοι το σαββατον, εκ των ιερεων και εκ των Λευιτων, θελουσι φυλαττει εν ταις πυλαις?
5 and one third shall be at the king's house and one third at the Gate of the Foundation; and all the people shall be in the courts of the house of the LORD.	5 και το τριτον εν τω οικω του βασιλεως? και το τριτον εν τη πυλη του θεμελιου? απας δε ο λαος εν ταις αυλαις του οικου του Κυριου?
6 Let no one enter the house of the LORD except the priests and ministering Levites; they may enter, for they are holy, but all the people shall keep the charge of the LORD.	6 και ουδεις θελει εισερχεσθαι εις τον ναον του Κυριου, ειμη οι ιερεις και οσοι εκ των Λευιτων λειτουργουσιν? αυτοι θελουσιν εισερχεσθαι, διοτι ειναι αγιοι απας δε ο λαος θελει φυλαττει την φυλακην του Κυριου?
7 The Levites shall surround the king, each with his weapons in his hand; and whoever enters the house shall be slain. Be with the king when he comes in, and when he goes out."	7 και οι Λευιται θελουσι περικυκλονει τον βασιλεα κυκλω, εκαστος εχων τα οπλα αυτου εν τη χειρι αυτου? και οστις εισελθη εις τον οικον, ας θανατονεται και θελετε εισθαι μετα του βασιλεως, οταν εισερχηται και οταν εξερχηται.
8 The Levites and all Judah did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded. They each brought his men, who were to go off duty on the sabbath, with those who were to come on duty on the sabbath; for Jehoiada the priest did not dismiss the divisions.	8 Και εκαμον οι Λευιται και πας ο Ιουδας κατα παντα οσα προσεταξεν Ιωδαε ο ιερευς, και ελαβον εκαστος τους ανδρας αυτου, τους εισερχομενους το σαββατον, μετα των εξερχομενων το σαββατον? διοτι Ιωδαε ο ιερευς δεν απελυε τας ταξεις.
9 And Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains the spears and the large and small shields that had been King Davids, which were in the house of God;	9 Και εδωκεν Ιωδαε ο ιερευς εις τους εκατονταρχους τας λογχας και τους θυρεους και τας ασπιδας του βασιλεως Δαβιδ, τας εν τω οικω του Θεου.
10 and he set all the people as a guard for the king, every man with his weapon in his hand, from the south side of the house to the north side of the house, around the altar and the house.	10 Και εστησε παντα τον λαον, εκαστον ανδρα εχοντα τα οπλα αυτου εν τη χειρι αυτου, τα απο της δεξιας πλευρας του οικου εως της αριστερας πλευρας του οικου, πλησιον του θυσιαστηριου και του ναου, κυκλω του βασιλεως.
11 Then he brought out the king's son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they proclaimed him king, and Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and they said, "Long live the king."	11 Τοτε εξηγαγον τον υιον του βασιλεως, και επεθεσαν επ' αυτον το διαδημα και το μαρτυριον, και εκαμον αυτον βασιλεα. Και εχρισαν αυτον ο Ιωδαε και οι υιοι αυτου και ειπον, Ζητω ο βασιλευς.
12 When Athaliah heard the noise of the people running and praising the king, she went into the house of the LORD to the people;	12 Και ακουσασα η Γοθολια την φωνην του λαου τρεχοντος και ευφημουντος τον βασιλεα, ηλθε προς τον λαον εις τον οικον του Κυριου.
13 and when she looked, there was the king standing by his pillar at the entrance, and the captains and the trumpeters beside the king, and all the people of the land rejoicing and blowing trumpets, and the singers with their musical instruments leading in the celebration. And Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, "Treason! Treason!"	13 Και ειδε, και ιδου, ο βασιλευς ιστατο πλησιον του στυλου αυτου εν τη εισοδω, και οι αρχοντες και αι σαλπιγγες πλησιον του βασιλεως? και πας ο λαος της γης εχαιρε και εσαλπιζον εν ταις σαλπιγξι, και οι ψαλτωδοι εψαλλον εν τοις μουσικοις οργανοις και οσοι ησαν επιστημονες εις το υμνωδειν? τοτε διερρηξεν η Γοθολια τα ιματια αυτης και ειπε, Προδοσια. Προδοσια.
14 Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains who were set over the army, saying to them, "Bring her out between the ranks; any one who follows her is to be slain with the sword." For the priest said, "Do not slay her in the house of the LORD."	14 Και εξηγαγεν Ιωδαε ο ιερευς τους εκατονταρχους, τους αρχηγους του στρατευματος, και ειπε προς αυτους, Εκβαλετε αυτην εξω των ταξεων? και οστις ακολουθηση αυτην, ας θανατονεται εν μαχαιρα. Διοτι ο ιερευς ειχεν ειπει, Μη θανατωσητε αυτην εν τω οικω του Κυριου.
15 So they laid hands on her; and she went into the entrance of the horse gate of the king's house, and they slew her there.	15 Και εβαλον χειρας επ' αυτην? και οτε ηλθεν εις την εισοδον της πυλης των ιππων, την εις τον οικον του βασιλεως, εθανατωσαν αυτην εκει.
16 And Jehoiada made a covenant between himself and all the people and the king that they should be the LORD's people.	16 Και εκαμεν ο Ιωδαε διαθηκην αναμεσον εαυτου και παντος του λαου και του βασιλεως, οτι θελουσιν εισθαι λαος του Κυριου.
17 Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and tore it down; his altars and his images they broke in pieces, and they slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars.	17 Και εισηλθον ο πας ο λαος εις τον οικον του Βααλ, και εκρημνισαν αυτον και τα θυσιαστηρια αυτου και τα ειδωλα αυτου κατεσυντριψαν? και Ματθαν τον ιερεα του Βααλ εθανατωσαν εμπροσθεν των θυσιαστηριων.
18 And Jehoiada posted watchmen for the house of the LORD under the direction of the Levitical priests and the Levites whom David had organized to be in charge of the house of the LORD, to offer burnt offerings to the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, according to the order of David.	18 Και εδωκεν ο Ιωδαε την επιτηρησιν του οικου του Κυριου εις τας χειρας των ιερεων των Λευιτων, τους οποιους ο Δαβιδ διηρεσεν επι του οικου του Κυριου, δια να προσφερωσι ολοκαυτωματα του Κυριου, ως ειναι γραμμενον εν τω νομω του Μωυσεως, ευφροσυνη και εν ωδαις, κατα την διαταξιν του Δαβιδ.
19 He stationed the gatekeepers at the gates of the house of the LORD so that no one should enter who was in any way unclean.	19 Και εστησε τους πυλωρους εν ταις πυλαις του οικου του Κυριου, δια να μη εισερχηται μηδεις ακαθαρτος δι' οποιονδηποτε πραγμα.
20 And he took the captains, the nobles, the governors of the people, and all the people of the land; and they brought the king down from the house of the LORD, marching through the upper gate to the king's house. And they set the king upon the royal throne.	20 Και ελαβε τους εκατονταρχους και τους δυνατους και τους αρχοντας του λαου και παντα τον λαον της γης, και κατεβιβασε τον βασιλεα εκ του οικου του Κυριου? και ηλθον δια της υψηλης πυλης εις τον οικον του βασιλεως και εκαθισαν τον βασιλεα επι του θρονου της βασιλειας.
21 So all the people of the land rejoiced; and the city was quiet, after Athaliah had been slain with the sword.	21 Και ευφρανθη πας ο λαος της γης? και η πολις ησυχασε? την δε Γοθολιαν εθανατωσαν εν μαχαιρα.
