1 A Canticle in steps. Those who trust in the Lord will be like the mountain of Zion. He will not be disturbed for eternity, who dwells	1 Cântico das peregrinações. Os que confiam no Senhor são como o monte Sião, eternamente firme.
2 in Jerusalem. Mountains surround it. And the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forward and even forever.	2 Como Jerusalém está toda cercada de montanhas, assim o Senhor envolve seu povo, agora e sempre.
3 For the Lord will not allow the rod of sinners to remain over the lot of the just, so that the just may not extend their hands toward iniquity.	3 Não permanecerá estendido o cetro dos ímpios sobre o destino dos justos, para que também estes não acabem por estender suas mãos ao crime.
4 Do good, O Lord, to the good and to the upright of heart.	4 Fazei bem, Senhor, aos que são bons, e aos homens de reto coração.
5 But those who turn away into obligation, the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.	5 Mas aqueles que se desviam por caminhos tortuosos, que o Senhor os leve com os malfeitores. Paz para Israel!
