Psalms 124

1 A Canticle in steps. Those who trust in the Lord will be like the mountain of Zion. He will not be disturbed for eternity, who dwells	1 (Salmo graduale). Quelli che confidano nel Signore sono come il monte Sion: non vacillerà mai in eterno colui che abita
2 in Jerusalem. Mountains surround it. And the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forward and even forever.	2 In Gerusalemme. Essa è cinta di monti, e il Signore cinge il suo popolo ora e sempre.
3 For the Lord will not allow the rod of sinners to remain over the lot of the just, so that the just may not extend their hands toward iniquity.	3 Il Signore non lascerà lo scettro dei peccatori sull'eredità dei giusti; affinchè i giusti non protendano le loro mani all'iniquità.
4 Do good, O Lord, to the good and to the upright of heart.	4 O Signore, fa del bene ai buoni e ai retti di cuore.
5 But those who turn away into obligation, the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.	5 Ma quelli che si sviano per tortuosi sentieri il Signore li porrà insieme agli operatori d'iniquità. Pace sopra Israele.
