1 And the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,	1 אלה בני ישראל ראובן שמעון לוי ויהודה יששכר וזבלון
2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.	2 דן יוסף ובנימן נפתלי גד ואשר
3 The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him from the daughter of Shua, the Canaanite. But Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the Lord, and so he killed him.	3 בני יהודה ער ואונן ושלה שלושה נולד לו מבת שוע הכנענית ויהי ער בכור יהודה רע בעיני יהוה וימיתהו
4 Now Tamar, his daughter-in-law, bore to him Perez and Zerah. Therefore, all the sons of Judah were five.	4 ותמר כלתו ילדה לו את פרץ ואת זרח כל בני יהודה חמשה
5 And the sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.	5 בני פרץ חצרון וחמול
6 Also, the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, as well as Calcol and Dara, five altogether.	6 ובני זרח זמרי ואיתן והימן וכלכל ודרע כלם חמשה
7 The sons of Carmi: Achar, who disturbed Israel and sinned by the theft of what was anathema.	7 ובני כרמי עכר עוכר ישראל אשר מעל בחרם
8 The sons of Ethan: Azariah.	8 ובני איתן עזריה
9 And the sons of Hezron who were born to him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.	9 ובני חצרון אשר נולד לו את ירחמאל ואת רם ואת כלובי
10 Then Ram conceived Amminadab. And Amminadab conceived Nahshon, a leader of the sons of Judah.	10 ורם הוליד את עמינדב ועמינדב הוליד את נחשון נשיא בני יהודה

13 Now Jesse conceived the firstborn Eliab, the second Abinadab, the third Shammah,	13 ואישי הוליד את בכרו את אליאב ואבינדב השני ושמעא השלישי
14 the fourth Nethanel, the fifth Raddai,	14 נתנאל הרביעי רדי החמישי
15 the sixth Ozem, the seventh David.	15 אצם הששי דויד השבעי
16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three.	16 ואחיתיהם צרויה ואביגיל ובני צרויה אבשי ויואב ועשה אל שלשה
17 And Abigail conceived Amasa, whose father was Jether, the Ishmaelite.	17 ואביגיל ילדה את עמשא ואבי עמשא יתר הישמעאלי
18 Truly, Caleb, the son of Hezron, took a wife named Azubah, of whom he conceived Jerioth. And her sons were Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.	18 וכלב בן חצרון הוליד את עזובה אשה ואת יריעות ואלה בניה ישר ושובב וארדון
19 And when Azubah had died, Caleb took as wife Ephratha, who bore to him Hur.	19 ותמת עזובה ויקח לו כלב את אפרת ותלד לו את חור
20 Now Hur conceived Uri. And Uri conceived Bezalel.	20 וחור הוליד את אורי ואורי הוליד את בצלאל
21 And afterwards, Hezron entered to the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead. And he took her when he was sixty years old. And she bore to him Segub.	21 ואחר בא חצרון אל בת מכיר אבי גלעד והוא לקחה והוא בן ששים שנה ותלד לו את שגוב
22 And then Segub conceived Jair, and he possessed twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.	22 ושגוב הוליד את יאיר ויהי לו עשרים ושלוש ערים בארץ הגלעד
23 And he seized Geshur and Aram, towns of Jair, and Kenath and its villages, sixty cities. All these were sons of Machir, father of Gilead.	23 ויקח גשור וארם את חות יאיר מאתם את קנת ואת בנתיה ששים עיר כל אלה בני מכיר אבי גלעד
24 Then, when Hezron had died, Caleb entered to Ephratha. Also, Hezron had as wife Abia, who bore to him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.	24 ואחר מות חצרון בכלב אפרתה ואשת חצרון אביה ותלד לו את אשחור אבי תקוע
25 Now sons were born to Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron: Ram, his firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.	25 ויהיו בני ירחמאל בכור חצרון הבכור רם ובונה וארן ואצם אחיה
26 Jerahmeel also married another wife, named Atarah, who was the mother of Onam.	26 ותהי אשה אחרת לירחמאל ושמה עטרה היא אם אונם
27 Then too, the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.	27 ויהיו בני רם בכור ירחמאל מעץ וימין ועקר
28 And Onam had sons: Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.	28 ויהיו בני אונם שמי וידע ובני שמי נדב ואבישור
29 Truly, the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, who bore to him Ahban and Molid.	29 ושם אשת אבישור אביהיל ותלד לו את אחבן ואת מוליד
30 Now the sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim. And Seled died without children.	30 ובני נדב סלד ואפים וימת סלד לא בנים
31 Truly, the son of Appaim was Ishi. And Ishi conceived Sheshan. Then Sheshan conceived Ahlai.	31 ובני אפים ישעי ובני ישעי ששן ובני ששן אחלי
32 But the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan. Then Jether also died without children.	32 ובני ידע אחי שמי יתר ויונתן וימת יתר לא בנים
33 And Jonathan conceived Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.	33 ובני יונתן פלת וזזא אלה היו בני ירחמאל
34 Now Sheshan did not have sons, but only daughters, and an Egyptian servant named Jarha.	34 ולא היה לששן בנים כי אם בנות ולששן עבד מצרי ושמו ירחע
35 And so he gave to him his daughter as wife, who bore to him Attai.	35 ויתן ששן את בתו לירחע עבדו לאשה ותלד לו את עתי
36 Then Attai conceived Nathan, and Nathan conceived Zabad.	36 ועתי הליד את נתן ונתן הוליד את זבד
37 Also, Zabad conceived Ephlal, and Ephlal conceived Obed.	37 וזבד הוליד את אפלל ואפלל הוליד את עובד
38 Obed conceived Jehu; Jehu conceived Azariah.	38 ועובד הוליד את יהוא ויהוא הוליד את עזריה
39 Azariah conceived Helez, and Helez conceived Eleasah.	39 ועזריה הליד את חלץ וחלץ הליד את אלעשה
40 Eleasah conceived Sismai; Sismai conceived Shallum.	40 ואלעשה הליד את ססמי וססמי הליד את שלום
41 Shallum conceived Jekamiah; then Jekamiah conceived Elishama.	41 ושלום הוליד את יקמיה ויקמיה הליד את אלישמע
42 And the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mesha, the father of Hebron.	42 ובני כלב אחי ירחמאל מישע בכרו הוא אבי זיף ובני מרשה אבי חברון
43 Now the sons of Hebron were Korah, and Tapuah, and Rekem, and Shema.	43 ובני חברון קרח ותפח ורקם ושמע
44 Then Shema conceived Raham, the father of Jorkeam. And Rekem conceived Shammai.	44 ושמע הוליד את רחם אבי ירקעם ורקם הוליד את שמי
45 The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Bethzur.	45 ובן שמי מעון ומעון אבי בית צור
46 Now Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez. And Haran conceived Gazez.	46 ועיפה פילגש כלב ילדה את חרן ואת מוצא ואת גזז וחרן הליד את גזז
47 And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.	47 ובני יהדי רגם ויותם וגישן ופלט ועיפה ושעף
48 And Maacah, the concubine of Caleb, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.	48 פלגש כלב מעכה ילד שבר ואת תרחנה
49 Then Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, conceived Sheva, the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea. Truly, the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.	49 ותלד שעף אבי מדמנה את שוא אבי מכבנה ואבי גבעא ובת כלב עכסה
50 These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratha: Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;	50 אלה היו בני כלב בן חור בכור אפרתה שובל אבי קרית יערים
51 Salma, the father of Bethlehem; Hareph, the father of Bethgader.	51 שלמא אבי בית לחם חרף אבי בית גדר
52 Now there were sons for Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim, who saw half the places of rest.	52 ויהיו בנים לשובל אבי קרית יערים הראה חצי המנחות
53 And from the kindred of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these, the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites went forth.	53 ומשפחות קרית יערים היתרי והפותי והשמתי והמשרעי מאלה יצאו הצרעתי והאשתאלי
54 The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, the crowns of the house of Joab, and half the places of rest of the Zorathites,	54 בני שלמא בית לחם ונטופתי עטרות בית יואב וחצי המנחתי הצרעי
55 as well as the families of the scribes living in Jabesh, those singing and making music, and those dwelling in tents. These are the Kenites, who went forth from Calor, the father of the house of Rechab.	55 ומשפחות ספרים ישבו יעבץ תרעתים שמעתים שוכתים המה הקינים הבאים מחמת אבי בית רכב
