2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.	2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Nephthali, Gad et Aser.
3 The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him from the daughter of Shua, the Canaanite. But Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the Lord, and so he killed him.	3 Fils de Juda : Her, Onan et Séla. Il eut ces trois fils d'une Chananéenne fille de Sué. 4 Now Tamar, his daughter-in-law, bore to him Perez and Zerah. Therefore, all the sons of Judah were five.	4 Thamar, belle-fille de Juda, eut de lui Pharès et Zara. Juda eut donc en tout cinq fils.
5 And the sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.	5 Fils de Pharès : Hesron et Hamul.
6 Also, the sons of Zerah: Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, as well as Calcol and Dara, five altogether.	6 Les fils de Zara furent au nombre de cinq : Zamri, Ethan, Eman, Chalchal et Dara.
7 The sons of Carmi: Achar, who disturbed Israel and sinned by the theft of what was anathema.	7 Fils de Charmi : Achar, qui troubla Israël, et pécha par un larcin de l'anathème.
8 The sons of Ethan: Azariah.	8 Fils d'Ethan : Azarias.
9 And the sons of Hezron who were born to him: Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.	9 Fils qui naquirent d'Hesron : Jéraméel, Ram, et Calubi.
10 Then Ram conceived Amminadab. And Amminadab conceived Nahshon, a leader of the sons of Judah.	10 Ram engendra Amimadab; Aminadab engendra Nahasson, prince des fils de Juda.
11 Also, Nahshon conceived Salma, from whom Boaz rose up.	11 Nahasson engendra aussi Salma, duquel est issu Booz.
12 Truly, Boaz conceived Obed, who also himself conceived Jesse.	12 Or Booz engendra Obed, lequel engendra Isaï.
13 Now Jesse conceived the firstborn Eliab, the second Abinadab, the third Shammah,	13 Isaï eut pour fils aîné Eliab; le second fut Abinadab; le troisième, Simmaa;
14 the fourth Nethanel, the fifth Raddai,	14 le quatrième, Nathanaël; le cinquième, Rabdaï;

16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three.	16 Leurs soeurs étaient Sarvia et Abigaïl. Fils de Sarvia : Abisaï, Joab, et Asaël, trois.
17 And Abigail conceived Amasa, whose father was Jether, the Ishmaelite.	17 Abigaïl fut mère d'Amasa, dont le père était Jéther l'Ismaélite.
18 Truly, Caleb, the son of Hezron, took a wife named Azubah, of whom he conceived Jerioth. And her sons were Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.	18 Or Caleb, fils d'Hesron, épousa une femme qui se nommait Azuba, dont il eut Jérioth; et ses fils furent Jaser, Sabab, et Ardon.
19 And when Azubah had died, Caleb took as wife Ephratha, who bore to him Hur.	19 Mais, après la mort d'Azuba, Caleb épousa Ephrata, qui lui enfanta Hur.
20 Now Hur conceived Uri. And Uri conceived Bezalel.	20 Hur engendra Uri, et Uri engendra Bézéléel.
21 And afterwards, Hezron entered to the daughter of Machir, father of Gilead. And he took her when he was sixty years old. And she bore to him Segub.	21 Ensuite Hesron prit pour femme la fille de Machir, père de Galaad. Il avait soixante ans quand il l'épousa, et il eut d'elle Ségub.
22 And then Segub conceived Jair, and he possessed twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.	22 Ségub, de son côté, eut pour fils Jaïr, et il posséda vingt-trois villes dans la terre de Galaad.
23 And he seized Geshur and Aram, towns of Jair, and Kenath and its villages, sixty cities. All these were sons of Machir, father of Gilead.	23 Et Gessur et Aram prirent les villes de Jaïr, et Canath avec les villages de son ressort, soixante villes. Tous ceux-là étaient fils de Machir, père de Galaad.
24 Then, when Hezron had died, Caleb entered to Ephratha. Also, Hezron had as wife Abia, who bore to him Ashhur, the father of Tekoa.	24 Après la mort d'Hesron, Caleb épousa Ephratha. Mais Hesron avait eu encore une femme nommée Abia, de laquelle il eut un fils nommé Ashur, qui fut père de Thécua.
25 Now sons were born to Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron: Ram, his firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.	25 Jéraméel, premier-né d'Hesron, eut pour fils aîné Ram, et ensuite Buna, Aram, Asom, et Achia.
26 Jerahmeel also married another wife, named Atarah, who was the mother of Onam.	26 Et Jéraméel épousa encore une autre femme, nommée Atara, qui fut mère d'Onam.
27 Then too, the sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.	27 Ram, fils aîné de Jéraméel, eut aussi pour fils Moos, Jamin, et Achar.
28 And Onam had sons: Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur.	28 Onam eut pour fils Séméi et Jada. Fils de Séméi : Nadab et Abisur.
29 Truly, the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, who bore to him Ahban and Molid.	29 Abisur épousa une femme nommée Abigaïl, de laquelle il eut Ahobban et Molid.
30 Now the sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim. And Seled died without children.	30 Nadab fut père de Saled et d'Apphaïm; mais Saled mourut sans enfants.
31 Truly, the son of Appaim was Ishi. And Ishi conceived Sheshan. Then Sheshan conceived Ahlai.	31 Apphaïm eut un fils nommé Jési, qui engendra Sésan, et Sésan engendra Oholaï.
32 But the sons of Jada, the brother of Shammai, were Jether and Jonathan. Then Jether also died without children.	32 Fils de Jada, frère de Séméi : Jéther et Jonathan. Jéther mourut aussi sans enfants.
33 And Jonathan conceived Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.	33 Mais Jonathan eut Phaleth, et Ziza. Voilà quels ont été les fils de Jéraméel.
34 Now Sheshan did not have sons, but only daughters, and an Egyptian servant named Jarha.	34 Pour Sésan, il n'eut point de fils, mais des filles; et un esclave égyptien nommé Jéraa,
35 And so he gave to him his daughter as wife, who bore to him Attai.	35 à qui il donna sa fille en mariage, et elle lui enfanta Ethéi.
36 Then Attai conceived Nathan, and Nathan conceived Zabad.	36 Ethéi engendra Nathan, et Nathan engendra Zabad.
37 Also, Zabad conceived Ephlal, and Ephlal conceived Obed.	37 Zabad engendra Ophlal, et Ophlal engendra Obed.
38 Obed conceived Jehu; Jehu conceived Azariah.	38 Obed engendra Jéhu, et Jéhu Azarias.
39 Azariah conceived Helez, and Helez conceived Eleasah.	39 Azarias engendra Hellès, et Hellès Elasa.
40 Eleasah conceived Sismai; Sismai conceived Shallum.	40 Elasa engendra Sisamoï, et Sisamoï engendra Sellum.
41 Shallum conceived Jekamiah; then Jekamiah conceived Elishama.	41 Sellum engendra Icamia, et Icamia Elisama.
42 And the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha, his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mesha, the father of Hebron.	42 Fils de Caleb, frère de Jéraméel : Mésa, son aîné, prince de Ziph, et les fils de Marésa, père d'Hébron.
43 Now the sons of Hebron were Korah, and Tapuah, and Rekem, and Shema.	43 Fils d'Hébron : Coré, Thaphua, Récem, et Samma.
44 Then Shema conceived Raham, the father of Jorkeam. And Rekem conceived Shammai.	44 Samma engendra Raham, père de Jercaam, et Récem engendra Sammaï.
45 The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Bethzur.	45 Sammaï eut un fils nommé Maon: et Maon fut père de Bethsur.
46 Now Ephah, the concubine of Caleb, bore Haran, and Moza, and Gazez. And Haran conceived Gazez.	46 Or Epha, seconde femme de Caleb, enfanta Haran, Mosa et Gézez. Et Haran eut un fils nommé aussi Gézez.
47 And the sons of Jahdai: Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.	47 Fils de Jahaddaï : Régom, Joathan, Gésan, Phalet, Epha, et Saaph.
48 And Maacah, the concubine of Caleb, bore Sheber and Tirhanah.	48 Maacha, autre femme de Caleb, lui donna Saber et Tharana.
49 Then Shaaph, the father of Madmannah, conceived Sheva, the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea. Truly, the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.	49 Mais Saaph, père de Madména, engendra Sué, père de Machbéna et de Gabaa. Caleb eut aussi une fille nommée Achsa.
50 These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratha: Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim;	50 Ceux-ci furent fils de Caleb, fils de Hur, fils aîné d'Ephrata : Sabal, père de Cariathiarim;
51 Salma, the father of Bethlehem; Hareph, the father of Bethgader.	51 Salma, père de Bethléem; Hariph, père de Bethgader.
52 Now there were sons for Shobal, the father of Kiriath-jearim, who saw half the places of rest.	52 Or Sobal, père de Cariathiarim, qui jouissait de la moitié du pays où il demeurait, eut des fils.
53 And from the kindred of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, and the Puthites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites. From these, the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites went forth.	53 Et des familles qu'ils établirent dans Cariathiarim sont descendus les Jethréens, les Aphuthéens, les Sémathéens, les Maséréens, desquels sont aussi venus les Saraïtes et les Esthaolites.
54 The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, the crowns of the house of Joab, and half the places of rest of the Zorathites,	54 Les fils de Salma furent Bethéem, et Nétophathi, la gloire de la maison de Joab, et la moitié du pays, que l'on nommait le lieu de repos, fut habitée par les descendant de Saraï.
55 as well as the families of the scribes living in Jabesh, those singing and making music, and those dwelling in tents. These are the Kenites, who went forth from Calor, the father of the house of Rechab.	55 Il y faut joindre les familles des docteurs de la loi qui demeurent à Jabès, et qui vivent sous la tente, où ils chantent avec la voix et sur les instruments. Ce sont eux qu'on nomme Cinéens, qui sont descendus de Calor, chef de la maison de Réchab.
