Revelation 19

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 After this I heard what seemed to be the great sound of a huge crowd in heaven, singing, 'Al eluia!Salvation and glory and power to our God!	1 Dopo questo udii in cielo come il clamore di una folla sterminata che diceva: "Alleluia! Salvezza, gloria e forza sono del nostro Dio!
2 He judges fairly, he punishes justly, and he has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted theearth with her prostitution; he has avenged the blood of his servants which she shed.'	2 Sì, veraci e giusti sono i suoi giudizi! Sì, egli ha castigato la grande meretrice che corrompeva la terra con la sua prostituzione, vendicando su di lei il sangue dei suoi servi!".
3 And again they sang, 'Alleluia! The smoke of her wil rise for ever and ever.'	3 E per la seconda volta dissero: "Alleluia! Sale il fumo di lei nei secoli dei secoli!".
4 Then the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves down and worshipped Godseated on his throne, and they cried, 'Amen, Alleluia.'	4 Allora i ventiquattro Seniori insieme ai quattro Viventi si prostrarono per adorare Dio che sedeva sul trono, dicendo: "Amen. Alleluia!".
5 Then a voice came from the throne; it said, 'Praise our God, you servants of his and those who fearhim, smal and great alike.'	5 Uscì quindi dal trono una voce che disse: "Innalzate lodi al nostro Dio, voi tutti, suoi servi, e voi che lo temete, piccoli e grandi!".
6 And I heard what seemed to be the voices of a huge crowd, like the sound of the ocean or the greatroar of thunder, answering, 'Alleluia! The reign of the Lord our God Almighty has begun;	6 Poi udii come il vocìo di una folla immensa, simile al fragore di acque copiose, come il rimbombo di tuoni possenti; dicevano: "Alleluia! Sì, ha inaugurato il suo regno il Signore Dio nostro, l'Onnipotente!
7 let us be glad and joyful and give glory to God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb.	7 Rallegriamoci ed esultiamo, rendiamo a lui gloria, ché giunte son le nozze dell'Agnello e pronta è la sua sposa;
8 His bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in dazzling white linen, because her linen ismade of the good deeds of the saints.'	8 ecco: le hanno dato una veste di bisso puro, splendente". Il bisso rappresenta le opere buone dei santi.
9 The angel said, 'Write this, "Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb," ' andhe added, 'These words of God are true.'	9 Poi l'angelo mi dice: "Scrivi: Beati coloro che sono stati invitati alla cena nuziale dell'Agnello!". E soggiunse: "Queste parole sono veraci, provengono da Dio".
10 Then I knelt at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, 'Never do that: I am your fellow-servant andthe fellow-servant of al your brothers who have in themselves the witness of Jesus. God alone you mustworship.' The witness of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.	10 Allora caddi ai suoi piedi in segno di adorazione; ma egli mi disse: "Guàrdati dal farlo! Io sono servo come te e come i tuoi fratelli, che posseggono la testimonianza di Gesù. E' Dio che devi adorare". Ora la testimonianza di Gesù è lo spirito profetico.
11 And now I saw heaven open, and a white horse appear; its rider was cal ed Trustworthy and True; inuprightness he judges and makes war.	11 Vidi poi aprirsi il cielo; ed ecco un cavallo bianco; colui che lo cavalcava è chiamato Fedele e Verace; con giustizia giudica e combatte.
12 His eyes were flames of fire, and he was crowned with many coronets; the name written on him wasknown only to himself,	12 I suoi occhi sono come fiamma ardente; sul capo numerosi diademi e porta scritto un nome che nessuno, all'infuori di lui, comprende.
13 his cloak was soaked in blood. He is known by the name, The Word of God.	13 Il mantello che indossa è intriso di sangue; il suo nome è: il Verbo di Dio.
14 Behind him, dressed in linen of dazzling white, rode the armies of heaven on white horses.	14 Lo seguono gli eserciti celesti, montando anch'essi cavalli bianchi, vestiti di puro candido bisso.
15 From his mouth came a sharp sword with which to strike the unbelievers; he is the one who wil rulethem with an iron sceptre, and tread out the wine of Almighty God's fierce retribution.	15 Dalla sua bocca esce una spada affilata per colpire con essa le genti. E' lui che le governerà con verga di ferro; è lui che pigerà il tino dell'ira furente di Dio, l'Onnipotente.
16 On his cloak and on his thigh a name was written: King of kings and Lord of lords.	16 Sul mantello e sul femore porta scritto un nome: "Re dei re e Signore dei signori".
17 I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he shouted aloud to al the birds that were flying highoverhead in the sky, 'Come here. Gather together at God's great feast.	17 Poi vidi un angelo che stava sul sole, il quale gridò a gran voce agli uccelli volanti nel mezzo del cielo: "Orsù, radunatevi per il gran pasto di Dio,
18 You wil eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of great generals and heroes, the flesh of horses andtheir riders and of al kinds of people, citizens and slaves, smal and great alike.'	18 dove carne di re mangerete, carne di capitani e d'eroi, carne di cavalli e dei loro cavalieri, carne di uomini d'ogni condizione: liberi o schiavi, piccoli o grandi!".
19 Then I saw the beast, with al the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered together to fight theRider and his army.	19 E vidi la bestia insieme ai re della terra e i loro eserciti radunati per combattere contro il Cavaliere e il suo esercito.
20 But the beast was taken prisoner, together with the false prophet who had worked miracles on thebeast's behalf and by them had deceived those who had accepted branding with the mark of the beast and thosewho had worshipped his statue. These two were hurled alive into the fiery lake of burning sulphur.	20 Ma la bestia venne presa insieme allo pseudo profeta, quello che per conto di essa aveva fatto prodigi, con i quali aveva sedotto gli uomini, inducendoli a ricevere il marchio della bestia e adorarne l'immagine. Vivi furono gettati i due nello stagno di fuoco che brucia con zolfo.
21 Al the rest were kil ed by the sword of the Rider, which came out of his mouth, and al the birdsglutted themselves with their flesh.	21 Tutti gli altri furono sterminati dalla spada che usciva dalla bocca del Cavaliere; e tutti gli uccelli si saziarono delle loro carni.
