Revelation 19

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 After this I heard what seemed to be the great sound of a huge crowd in heaven, singing, 'Al eluia!Salvation and glory and power to our God!	1 Après quoi j'entendis comme un grand bruit de foule immense au ciel, qui clamait: "Alleluia!Salut et gloire et puissance à notre Dieu,
2 He judges fairly, he punishes justly, and he has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted theearth with her prostitution; he has avenged the blood of his servants which she shed.'	2 car ses jugements sont vrais et justes: il a jugé la Prostituée fameuse qui corrompait la terre parsa prostitution, et vengé sur elle le sang de ses serviteurs."
3 And again they sang, 'Alleluia! The smoke of her wil rise for ever and ever.'	3 Puis ils reprirent: "Alleluia! Oui, sa fumée s'élève pour les siècles des siècles!"
4 Then the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves down and worshipped Godseated on his throne, and they cried, 'Amen, Alleluia.'	4 Alors, les 24 Vieillards et les quatre Vivants se prosternèrent pour adorer Dieu, qui siège sur letrône, en disant: "Amen, alleluia!..."
5 Then a voice came from the throne; it said, 'Praise our God, you servants of his and those who fearhim, smal and great alike.'	5 Puis une voix partit du trône: "Louez notre Dieu, vous tous qui le servez, et vous qui lecraignez, les petits et les grands."
6 And I heard what seemed to be the voices of a huge crowd, like the sound of the ocean or the greatroar of thunder, answering, 'Alleluia! The reign of the Lord our God Almighty has begun;	6 Alors j'entendis comme le bruit d'une foule immense, comme le mugissement des grandeseaux, comme le grondement de violents tonnerres; on clamait: "Alleluia! Car il a pris possession de son règne, leSeigneur, le Dieu Maître-de-tout.
7 let us be glad and joyful and give glory to God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb.	7 Soyons dans l'allégresse et dans la joie, rendons gloire à Dieu, car voici les noces de l'Agneau,et son épouse s'est faite belle:
8 His bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in dazzling white linen, because her linen ismade of the good deeds of the saints.'	8 on lui a donné de se vêtir de lin d'une blancheur éclatante" - le lin, c'est en effet les bonnesactions des saints.
9 The angel said, 'Write this, "Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb," ' andhe added, 'These words of God are true.'	9 Puis il me dit: "Ecris: Heureux les gens invités au festin de noce de l'Agneau. Ces paroles deDieu, ajouta-t-il, sont vraies."
10 Then I knelt at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, 'Never do that: I am your fellow-servant andthe fellow-servant of al your brothers who have in themselves the witness of Jesus. God alone you mustworship.' The witness of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.	10 Alors je me prosternai à ses pieds pour l'adorer, mais lui me dit: "Non, attention, je suis unserviteur comme toi et comme tes frères qui possèdent le témoignage de Jésus. C'est Dieu que tu dois adorer." Letémoignage de Jésus, c'est l'esprit de prophétie.
11 And now I saw heaven open, and a white horse appear; its rider was cal ed Trustworthy and True; inuprightness he judges and makes war.	11 Alors je vis le ciel ouvert, et voici un cheval blanc; celui qui le monte s'appelle "Fidèle" et"Vrai", il juge et fait la guerre avec justice.
12 His eyes were flames of fire, and he was crowned with many coronets; the name written on him wasknown only to himself,	12 Ses yeux? Une flamme ardente; sur sa tête, plusieurs diadèmes; inscrit sur lui, un nom qu'ilest seul à connaître;
13 his cloak was soaked in blood. He is known by the name, The Word of God.	13 le manteau qui l'enveloppe est trempé de sang; et son nom? Le Verbe de Dieu.
14 Behind him, dressed in linen of dazzling white, rode the armies of heaven on white horses.	14 Les armées du ciel le suivaient sur des chevaux blancs, vêtues de lin d'une blancheur parfaite.
15 From his mouth came a sharp sword with which to strike the unbelievers; he is the one who wil rulethem with an iron sceptre, and tread out the wine of Almighty God's fierce retribution.	15 De sa bouche sort une épée acérée pour en frapper les païens; c'est lui qui les mènera avec unsceptre de fer; c'est lui qui foule dans la cuve le vin de l'ardente colère de Dieu, le Maître-de-tout.
16 On his cloak and on his thigh a name was written: King of kings and Lord of lords.	16 Un nom est inscrit sur son manteau et sur sa cuisse: Roi des rois et Seigneur des seigneurs.
17 I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he shouted aloud to al the birds that were flying highoverhead in the sky, 'Come here. Gather together at God's great feast.	17 Puis je vis un Ange, debout sur le soleil, crier d'une voix puissante à tous les oiseaux quivolent au zénith: "Venez, ralliez le grand festin de Dieu!
18 You wil eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of great generals and heroes, the flesh of horses andtheir riders and of al kinds of people, citizens and slaves, smal and great alike.'	18 Vous y avalerez chairs de rois, et chairs de grands capitaines, et chairs de héros, et chairs dechevaux avec leurs cavaliers, et chairs de toutes gens, libres et esclaves, petits et grands!"
19 Then I saw the beast, with al the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered together to fight theRider and his army.	19 Je vis alors la Bête, avec les rois de la terre et leurs armées rassemblés pour engager lecombat contre le Cavalier et son armée.
20 But the beast was taken prisoner, together with the false prophet who had worked miracles on thebeast's behalf and by them had deceived those who had accepted branding with the mark of the beast and thosewho had worshipped his statue. These two were hurled alive into the fiery lake of burning sulphur.	20 Mais la Bête fut capturée, avec le faux prophète - celui qui accomplit au service de la Bêtedes prodiges par lesquels il fourvoyait les gens ayant reçu la marque de la Bête et les adorateurs de son image, -on les jeta tous deux, vivants, dans l'étang de feu, de soufre embrasé.
21 Al the rest were kil ed by the sword of the Rider, which came out of his mouth, and al the birdsglutted themselves with their flesh.	21 Tout le reste fut exterminé par l'épée du Cavalier, qui sort de sa bouche, et tous les oiseaux serepurent de leurs chairs.
