Revelation 19

1 After this I heard what seemed to be the great sound of a huge crowd in heaven, singing, 'Al eluia!Salvation and glory and power to our God!	1 - Dopo questo udii come una [gran] voce di molta folla nel cielo, che dicevano: «Alleluia! La salvezza e la gloria e la potenza [son] del nostro Dio;
2 He judges fairly, he punishes justly, and he has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted theearth with her prostitution; he has avenged the blood of his servants which she shed.'	2 poichè veraci e giusti sono i suoi giudizi. Egli ha fatto giustizia della grande meretrice che corrompeva la terra con la sua prostituzione, e ha vendicato il sangue de' suoi servi [sparso] dalle sue mani».
3 And again they sang, 'Alleluia! The smoke of her wil rise for ever and ever.'	3 E per la seconda volta dissero: «Alleluia!». E il fumo di lei sale per i secoli de' secoli!
4 Then the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves down and worshipped Godseated on his throne, and they cried, 'Amen, Alleluia.'	4 E si prostrarono i ventiquattro vecchi e i quattro animali e adoraron Dio, seduto sul trono, dicendo: «Amen! Alleluia!».
5 Then a voice came from the throne; it said, 'Praise our God, you servants of his and those who fearhim, smal and great alike.'	5 E una voce uscì dal trono, dicendo: «Date lode al nostro Dio, voi tutti suoi servi, e voi che lo temete, piccoli e grandi!».
6 And I heard what seemed to be the voices of a huge crowd, like the sound of the ocean or the greatroar of thunder, answering, 'Alleluia! The reign of the Lord our God Almighty has begun;	6 E udii come una voce di molta folla e come voce di molte acque e come voce di forti tuoni, che diceva: «Alleluia! perchè il Signore Iddio nostro onnipotente ha preso a regnare.
7 let us be glad and joyful and give glory to God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb.	7 Rallegriamoci ed esultiamo e diamo a lui gloria; poichè son giunte le nozze dell'agnello, e la sua sposa s'è abbigliata,
8 His bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in dazzling white linen, because her linen ismade of the good deeds of the saints.'	8 e le fu dato d'indossare bisso splendente e nitido». Il bisso, infatti, son le opere giuste dei santi.
9 The angel said, 'Write this, "Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb," ' andhe added, 'These words of God are true.'	9 E mi dice [un angelo]: «Scrivi: Beati gl'invitati al banchetto nuziale dell'agnello! ». E mi dice [ancora]: «Queste son parole vere di Dio».
10 Then I knelt at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, 'Never do that: I am your fellow-servant andthe fellow-servant of al your brothers who have in themselves the witness of Jesus. God alone you mustworship.' The witness of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.	10 E caddi ai suoi piedi per adorarlo. E mi dice: «Guarda di non farlo! Son conservo tuo e de' tuoi fratelli che hanno [a cuore] la testimonianza di Gesù. Adora Dio! La testimonianza infatti di Gesù è lo spirito della profezia».
11 And now I saw heaven open, and a white horse appear; its rider was cal ed Trustworthy and True; inuprightness he judges and makes war.	11 E vidi il cielo aperto, ed ecco un cavallo bianco, e colui che ci stava sopra si chiamava Fedele e Verace, e con giustizia giudica e guerreggia.
12 His eyes were flames of fire, and he was crowned with many coronets; the name written on him wasknown only to himself,	12 I suoi occhi [son] come fiamma di fuoco, e sul suo capo [stan] molti diademi, e ha un nome scritto che nessuno sa se non lui stesso,
13 his cloak was soaked in blood. He is known by the name, The Word of God.	13 ed è ravvolto in un manto tinto di sangue, e si chiama il nome di lui «Il Verbo di Dio».
14 Behind him, dressed in linen of dazzling white, rode the armies of heaven on white horses.	14 E gli eserciti che son nel cielo lo seguono su cavalli bianchi, vestiti di bisso bianco e puro.
15 From his mouth came a sharp sword with which to strike the unbelievers; he is the one who wil rulethem with an iron sceptre, and tread out the wine of Almighty God's fierce retribution.	15 E dalla sua bocca esce una spada affilata, perchè con essa percuota le genti: e le governerà con bastone di ferro. Ed egli stesso calca il tino del vino del furor dell'ira di Dio onnipotente.
16 On his cloak and on his thigh a name was written: King of kings and Lord of lords.	16 E ha sul manto e sulla coscia un nome scritto: «Re dei re e Signore de' signori».
17 I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he shouted aloud to al the birds that were flying highoverhead in the sky, 'Come here. Gather together at God's great feast.	17 E vidi un'angelo che stava ritto nel sole, e gridò a gran voce, dicendo a tutti gli uccelli volanti per mezzo il cielo: «Venite, adunatevi per il gran banchetto di Dio,
18 You wil eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of great generals and heroes, the flesh of horses andtheir riders and of al kinds of people, citizens and slaves, smal and great alike.'	18 Per mangiar carni di re e carni di capitani e carni di potenti e carni di cavalli e cavalieri e carni di tutti, liberi e schiavi e piccoli e grandi».
19 Then I saw the beast, with al the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered together to fight theRider and his army.	19 E vidi la bestia e i re della terra e i loro eserciti adunati per far la guerra con quello che stava sul cavallo e con il suo esercito.
20 But the beast was taken prisoner, together with the false prophet who had worked miracles on thebeast's behalf and by them had deceived those who had accepted branding with the mark of the beast and thosewho had worshipped his statue. These two were hurled alive into the fiery lake of burning sulphur.	20 E fu acciuffata la bestia e con essa il falso profeta che aveva fatto i portenti alla sua presenza, con i quali aveva sedotto quelli che presero il marchio della bestia e gli adoratori della sua effigie: i due furon gettati vivi nello stagno di fuoco, ardente per zolfo.
21 Al the rest were kil ed by the sword of the Rider, which came out of his mouth, and al the birdsglutted themselves with their flesh.	21 E gli altri furono uccisi con la spada di colui che stava sul cavallo, [con la spada] uscita dalla sua bocca. E tutti gli uccelli si satollaron delle lor carni.
