Revelation 11

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Then I was given a long cane like a measuring rod, and I was told, 'Get up and measure God'ssanctuary, and the altar, and the people who worship there;	1 Poi mi fu data una canna come una verga, e mi fu detto: Sorgi e misura il tempio di Dio e l'altare e conta quelli che in esso adorano;
2 but exclude the outer court and do not measure it, because it has been handed over to gentiles -- theywil trample on the holy city for forty-two months.	2 ma l'atrio esteriore del tempio lascialo da parte, e non lo misurare, perchè è stato abbandonato ai Gentili; essi calpesteranno la città santa per quarantadue mesi.
3 But I shall send my two witnesses to prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, wearing sackcloth.	3 E ingiunsero ai miei due testimoni di profetare, vestiti di sacco, per milleduecento sessanta giorni.
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamps in attendance on the Lord of the world.	4 Questi sono i due olivi, i due candelabri posti dinanzi al Signore della terra.
5 Fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies if anyone tries to harm them; and anyonewho tries to harm them will certainly be kil ed in this way.	5 E se qualcuno vorrà far loro del male, uscirà fuoco dalla bocca e divorerà i loro nemici, e chi vorrà offenderli dovrà così perire.
6 They have the power to lock up the sky so that it does not rain as long as they are prophesying; theyhave the power to turn water into blood and strike the whole world with any plague as often as they like.	6 Questi hanno potere di chiudere il cielo, perchè non piova nei giorni della loro predizione, ed han potere sopra le acque, per cangiarle in sangue, e di percuotere la terra con ogni flagello ogni volta che parrà loro.
7 When they have completed their witnessing, the beast that comes out of the Abyss is going to makewar on them and overcome them and kil them.	7 Poi, finito che abbian di rendere testimonianza, la bestia che sale dall'abisso muoverà loro guerra, li vincerà e li ucciderà.
8 Their corpses lie in the main street of the great city known by the symbolic names Sodom and Egypt,in which their Lord was crucified.	8 E i loro cadaveri giaceranno sulla piazza della gran città che, spiritualmente, si chiama Sodoma ed Egitto, dove anche il loro Signore fu crocifisso.
9 People of every race, tribe, language and nation stare at their corpses, for three-and-a-half days, notletting them be buried,	9 E gente d'ogni tribù, popolo, lingua e nazione, per tre giorni e mezzo staranno a guardare i cadaveri e non permetteranno che sian sepolti.
10 and the people of the world are glad about it and celebrate the event by giving presents to eachother, because these two prophets have been a plague to the people of the world.'	10 E gli abitanti della terra si rallegreranno e furari festa sopra di essi, e si scambieranno regali, perchè questi due profeti avevan terrorizzato gli abitatori della terra.
11 After the three-and-a-half days, God breathed life into them and they stood up on their feet, andeverybody who saw it happen was terrified;	11 Ma dopo tre giorni e mezzo il soffio di vita che vien da Dio entrò in quei cadaveri. Essi si alzarono in piedi, e grande spavento colpì chi li vide.
12 then I heard a loud voice from heaven say to them, 'Come up here,' and while their enemies werewatching, they went up to heaven in a cloud.	12 Udirono una gran voce dal cielo che disse loro: Salite quassù. E, a vista dei loro nemici, salirono in una nuvola al cielo.
13 Immediately, there was a violent earthquake, and a tenth of the city col apsed; seven thousandpersons were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors, overcome with fear, could only praise the God ofheaven.	13 In quel momento battè un gran terremoto, e rovinò la decima parte della città, e per quel terremoto periron sette mila persone, e i superstiti, spaventati, dettero gloria al Dio del cielo.
14 That was the second of the disasters; the third is to come quickly after it.	14 Il secondo guai è passato, ma ecco, ben presto verrà il terzo.
15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and voices could be heard shouting in heaven, calling,'The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and he wil reign for ever andever.'	15 E il settimo Angelo di è fiato alla tromba, e in cielo si alzaron grandi voci che dicevano: Il regno di questo mondo è passato nelle mani del Signore nostro e del suo Cristo, ed Egli regnerà nei secoli dei secoli: Così sia.
16 The twenty-four elders, enthroned in the presence of God, prostrated themselves and touched theground with their foreheads worshipping God	16 E i ventiquattro vegliardi che nel cospetto di Dio seggono sui loro troni, si prostrarono bocconi, adorareno Dio, dicendo: rendiamo grazie, Signor Dio Onnipotente, che sei, che eri e che verrai, perchè hai assunto il tuo gran potere e sei entrato in possesso del regno.
17 with these words, 'We give thanks to you, Almighty Lord God, He who is, He who was, for assumingyour great power and beginning your reign.	17 Le genti si sono irritate, ma è venata la tua ira e l'ora di giudicare i morti, e di dar la ricompensa ai profeti tuoi servi, e ai santi, e a quelli che temono il tuo nome, piccoli e grandi, e disperdere quelli che han mandata in perdizione la terra.
18 The nations were in uproar and now the time has come for your retribution, and for the dead to bejudged, and for your servants the prophets, for the saints and for those who fear your name, smal and greatalike, to be rewarded. The time has come to destroy those who are destroying the earth.'	18 E si aprì il tempio di Dio die è nel cielo, e nel suo tempio apparve l'arca del testamento, e ne vennero folgori e grida e terremoti e grandine grossa.
19 Then the sanctuary of God in heaven opened, and the ark of the covenant could be seen inside it.Then came flashes of lightning, peals of thunder and an earthquake and violent hail.
