Revelation 11

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Then I was given a long cane like a measuring rod, and I was told, 'Get up and measure God'ssanctuary, and the altar, and the people who worship there;	1 Después recibí una vara para medir, semejante a un bastón, mientras me decían: «Levántate y mide el Templo de Dios, el altar y a los adoradores que encuentres allí.
2 but exclude the outer court and do not measure it, because it has been handed over to gentiles -- theywil trample on the holy city for forty-two months.	2 No tengas en cuenta el atrio exterior del templo ni lo midas, porque ha sido entregado a los paganos, y ellos pisotearán la Ciudad santa durante cuarenta y dos meses.
3 But I shall send my two witnesses to prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, wearing sackcloth.	3 Pero yo encargaré a mis dos testigos que profeticen durante mil doscientos sesenta días, vestidos con hábitos de penitencia.
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamps in attendance on the Lord of the world.	4 Estos dos testigos son los dos olivos y los dos candelabros que están delante del Señor de la tierra.
5 Fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies if anyone tries to harm them; and anyonewho tries to harm them will certainly be kil ed in this way.	5 Si alguien quiere hacerles daño, saldrá un fuego de su boca que consumirá a sus enemigos: así perecerá el que se atreva a dañarlos.
6 They have the power to lock up the sky so that it does not rain as long as they are prophesying; theyhave the power to turn water into blood and strike the whole world with any plague as often as they like.	6 Ellos tienen el poder de cerrar el cielo para impedir que llueva durante los días de su misión profética; y también, tienen poder para cambiar las aguas en sangre y para herir la tierra con toda clase de plagas, todas las veces que quieran.
7 When they have completed their witnessing, the beast that comes out of the Abyss is going to makewar on them and overcome them and kil them.	7 Y cuando hayan acabado de dar testimonio, la Bestia que surge del Abismo les hará la guerra, los vencerá y los matará.
8 Their corpses lie in the main street of the great city known by the symbolic names Sodom and Egypt,in which their Lord was crucified.	8 Sus cadáveres yacerán en la plaza de la gran Ciudad –llamada simbólicamente Sodoma y también Egipto– allí mismo donde el Señor fue crucificado.
9 People of every race, tribe, language and nation stare at their corpses, for three-and-a-half days, notletting them be buried,	9 Estarán expuestos durante tres días y medio, a la vista de gente de todos los pueblos, familias, lenguas y naciones, y no se permitirá enterrarlos.
10 and the people of the world are glad about it and celebrate the event by giving presents to eachother, because these two prophets have been a plague to the people of the world.'	10 Los habitantes de la tierra se alegrarán y harán fiesta, y se intercambiarán regalos, porque estos dos profetas los habían atormentado».
11 After the three-and-a-half days, God breathed life into them and they stood up on their feet, andeverybody who saw it happen was terrified;	11 Pero después de estos tres días y medio, un soplo de vida de Dios entró en ellos y los hizo poner de pie, y un gran temor se apoderó de los espectadores.
12 then I heard a loud voice from heaven say to them, 'Come up here,' and while their enemies werewatching, they went up to heaven in a cloud.	12 Entonces escucharon una voz potente que les decía desde el cielo: «Suban aquí». Y ellos subieron al cielo en la nube, a la vista de sus enemigos.
13 Immediately, there was a violent earthquake, and a tenth of the city col apsed; seven thousandpersons were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors, overcome with fear, could only praise the God ofheaven.	13 En ese momento se produjo un violento temblor de tierra que derrumbó la décima parte de la Ciudad, y el terremoto ocasionó la muerte de siete mil personas: los sobrevivientes quedaron atemorizados y alabaron al Dios del cielo.
14 That was the second of the disasters; the third is to come quickly after it.	14 La segunda calamidad ha pasado, pero sepan que la tercera está por llegar.
15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and voices could be heard shouting in heaven, calling,'The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and he wil reign for ever andever.'	15 Cuando el séptimo Angel tocó la trompeta, resonaron en el cielo unas voces potentes que decían: «El dominio del mundo ha pasado a manos de nuestro Señor y de su Mesías, y él reinará por los siglos de los siglos».
16 The twenty-four elders, enthroned in the presence of God, prostrated themselves and touched theground with their foreheads worshipping God	16 Y los veinticuatro Ancianos que estaban sentados en sus tronos, delante de Dios, se postraron para adorarlo, diciendo:
17 with these words, 'We give thanks to you, Almighty Lord God, He who is, He who was, for assumingyour great power and beginning your reign.	17 «Te damos gracias, Señor, Dios todopoderoso –el que es y el que era– porque has ejercido tu inmenso poder y has establecido tu Reino.
18 The nations were in uproar and now the time has come for your retribution, and for the dead to bejudged, and for your servants the prophets, for the saints and for those who fear your name, smal and greatalike, to be rewarded. The time has come to destroy those who are destroying the earth.'	18 Los paganos se habían enfurecido, pero llegó el tiempo de tu ira, así como también el momento de juzgar a los muertos y de recompensar a tus servidores, los profetas, y a los santos y a todos aquellos que temen tu Nombre –pequeños y grandes– y el momento de exterminar a los que corrompían la tierra».
19 Then the sanctuary of God in heaven opened, and the ark of the covenant could be seen inside it.Then came flashes of lightning, peals of thunder and an earthquake and violent hail.	19 En ese momento se abrió el Templo de Dios que está en el cielo y quedó a la vista el Arca de la Alianza, y hubo rayos, voces, truenos y un temblor de tierra, y cayó una fuerte granizada.
