Revelation 11

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Then I was given a long cane like a measuring rod, and I was told, 'Get up and measure God'ssanctuary, and the altar, and the people who worship there;	1 Luego me fue dada una caña de medir parecida a una vara, diciéndome: «Levántate y mide el Santuario de Dios y el altar, y a los que adoran en él.
2 but exclude the outer court and do not measure it, because it has been handed over to gentiles -- theywil trample on the holy city for forty-two months.	2 El patio exterior del Santuario, déjalo aparte, no lo midas, porque ha sido entregado a los gentiles, que pisotearán la Ciudad Santa 42 meses.
3 But I shall send my two witnesses to prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, wearing sackcloth.	3 Pero haré que mis dos testigos profeticen durante 1260 días, cubiertos de sayal».
4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamps in attendance on the Lord of the world.	4 Ellos son los dos olivos y los dos candeleros que están en pie delante del Señor de la tierra.
5 Fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies if anyone tries to harm them; and anyonewho tries to harm them will certainly be kil ed in this way.	5 Si alguien pretendiera hacerles mal, saldría fuego de su boca y devoraría a sus enemigos; si alguien pretendería hacerles mal, así tendría que morir.
6 They have the power to lock up the sky so that it does not rain as long as they are prophesying; theyhave the power to turn water into blood and strike the whole world with any plague as often as they like.	6 Estos tienen poder de cerrar el cielo para que no llueva los días en que profeticen; tienen también poder sobre las aguas para convertirlas en sangre, y poder de herir la tierra con toda clase de plagas, todas las veces que quieran.
7 When they have completed their witnessing, the beast that comes out of the Abyss is going to makewar on them and overcome them and kil them.	7 Pero cuando hayan terminado de dar testimonio, la Bestia que surja del Abismo les hará la guerra, los vencerá y los matará.
8 Their corpses lie in the main street of the great city known by the symbolic names Sodom and Egypt,in which their Lord was crucified.	8 Y sus cadáveres, en la plaza de la Gran Ciudad, que simbólicamente se llama Sodoma o Egipto, allí donde también su Señor fue crucificado.
9 People of every race, tribe, language and nation stare at their corpses, for three-and-a-half days, notletting them be buried,	9 Y gentes de los pueblos, razas, lenguas y naciones, contemplarán sus cadáveres tres días y medio: no está permitido sepultar sus cadáveres.
10 and the people of the world are glad about it and celebrate the event by giving presents to eachother, because these two prophets have been a plague to the people of the world.'	10 Los habitantes de la tierra se alegran y se regocijan por causa de ellos, y se intercambian regalos, porque estos dos profetas habían atormentado a los habitantes de la tierra.
11 After the three-and-a-half days, God breathed life into them and they stood up on their feet, andeverybody who saw it happen was terrified;	11 Pero, pasados los tres días y medio, un aliento de vida procedente de Dios entró en ellos y se pusireon de pie, y un gran espanto se apoderó de quienes los contemplaban.
12 then I heard a loud voice from heaven say to them, 'Come up here,' and while their enemies werewatching, they went up to heaven in a cloud.	12 Oí entonces una fuerte voz que les decía desde el cielo: «Subid acá». Y subieron al cielo en la nube, a la vista de sus enemigos.
13 Immediately, there was a violent earthquake, and a tenth of the city col apsed; seven thousandpersons were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors, overcome with fear, could only praise the God ofheaven.	13 En aquella hora se produjo un violento terremoto, y la décima parte de la ciudad se derrumbó, y con el terremoto perecieron 7.000 personas. Los supervivientes, presa de espanto, dieron gloria al Dios del cielo.
14 That was the second of the disasters; the third is to come quickly after it.	14 El segundo ¡Ay! ha pasado. Mira que viene en seguida el tercero.
15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and voices could be heard shouting in heaven, calling,'The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and he wil reign for ever andever.'	15 Tocó el séptimo Angel... Entonces sonaron en el cielo fuertes voces que decían: «Ha llegado el reinado sobre el mundo de nuestro Señor y de su Cristo; y reinará por los siglos de los siglos».
16 The twenty-four elders, enthroned in the presence of God, prostrated themselves and touched theground with their foreheads worshipping God	16 Y los veinticuatro Ancianos que estaban sentados en sus tronos delante de Dios, se postraron rostro en tierra y adoraron a Dios diciendo:
17 with these words, 'We give thanks to you, Almighty Lord God, He who is, He who was, for assumingyour great power and beginning your reign.	17 «Te damos gracias, Señor Dios Todopoderoso, “Aquel que es y que era” porque has asumido tu inmenso poder para establecer tu reinado.
18 The nations were in uproar and now the time has come for your retribution, and for the dead to bejudged, and for your servants the prophets, for the saints and for those who fear your name, smal and greatalike, to be rewarded. The time has come to destroy those who are destroying the earth.'	18 Las naciones se habían encolerizado; pero ha llegado tu cólera y el tiempo de que los muertos sean juzgados, el tiempo de dar la recompensa a tus siervos los profetas, a los santos y a los que temen tu nombre, pequeños y grandes, y de destruir a los que destruyen la tierra».
19 Then the sanctuary of God in heaven opened, and the ark of the covenant could be seen inside it.Then came flashes of lightning, peals of thunder and an earthquake and violent hail.	19 Y se abrió el Santuario de Dios en el cielo, y apareció el arca de su alianza en el Santuario, y se produjeron relámpagos, y fragor, y truenos, y temblor de tierra y fuerte granizada.
