2 Thessalonians 1

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
	1 Paolo, Silvano e Timoteo alla chiesa dei Tessalonicesi, in Dio nostro Padre e nel Signore Gesù Cristo:
2 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 sia a voi grazia e pace da parte di Dio Padre e del Signore Gesù Cristo.
3 We must always thank God for you, brothers; quite rightly, because your faith is growing so wonderfullyand the mutual love that each one of you has for al never stops increasing.	3 Dobbiamo rendere grazie a Dio in ogni momento per voi, fratelli, come è giusto, poiché la vostra fede cresce oltremodo e la carità di ciascuno di voi verso gli altri sovrabbonda,
4 Among the churches of God we take special pride in you for your perseverance and faith under al thepersecutions and hardships you have to bear.	4 tanto da gloriarci noi stessi di voi davanti alle chiese di Dio, per la vostra perseveranza e la vostra fede in tutte le persecuzioni e tribolazioni che sopportate:
5 It al shows that God's judgement is just, so that you may be found worthy of the kingdom of God; it isfor the sake of this that you are suffering now.	5 indice del giusto giudizio di Dio in cui siete stimati degni del regno di Dio, per il quale anche soffrite.
6 For God's justice wil surely mean hardship being inflicted on those who are now inflicting hardship onyou,	6 E' infatti giusto da parte di Dio contraccambiare tribolazioni a quelli che vi affliggono
7 and for you who are now suffering hardship, relief with us, when the Lord Jesus appears from heavenwith the angels of his power.	7 e sollievo a voi, tribolati insieme a noi, quando verrà la manifestazione del Signore Gesù dal cielo insieme con gli angeli della sua potenza,
8 He wil come amid flaming fire; he wil impose a penalty on those who do not acknowledge God andrefuse to accept the gospel of our Lord Jesus.	8 nel fuoco ardente, che farà vendetta su quanti non vogliono riconoscere Dio né ubbidire al vangelo del Signore nostro Gesù.
9 Their punishment is to be lost eternal y, excluded from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength	9 Costoro saranno puniti con una pena eterna, lontani dalla faccia del Signore e dallo splendore della sua potenza,
10 on that day when he comes to be glorified among his holy ones and marvelled at by al who believe inhim; and you are among those who believed our witness.	10 quando, in quel giorno, verrà per essere glorificato nei suoi santi e per essere ammirato in tutti quelli che hanno creduto, poiché la nostra testimonianza tra voi fu accolta.
11 In view of this we also pray continual y that our God wil make you worthy of his cal , and by his powerfulfil all your desires for goodness, and complete al that you have been doing through faith;	11 A tal fine noi preghiamo sempre per voi, perché il nostro Dio vi faccia degni della vocazione e con la sua potenza dia buon esito a tutta la vostra volontà di bene e a tutta l'opera della vostra fede,
12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you and you in him, by the grace of ourGod and the Lord Jesus Christ.	12 affinché sia glorificato in voi il nome del Signore nostro Gesù e voi in lui, per la grazia del nostro Dio e Signore Gesù Cristo.
