2 Thessalonians 1

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
	1 Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo saludan a la Iglesia de Tesalónica, que está unida a Dios, nuestro Padre y al Señor Jesucristo.
2 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 Llegue a ustedes la gracia y la paz que proceden de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
3 We must always thank God for you, brothers; quite rightly, because your faith is growing so wonderfullyand the mutual love that each one of you has for al never stops increasing.	3 Hermanos, siempre debemos dar gracias a Dios a causa de ustedes, y es justo que lo hagamos, porque la fe de ustedes progresa constantemente y se acrecienta el amor de cada uno hacia los demás.
4 Among the churches of God we take special pride in you for your perseverance and faith under al thepersecutions and hardships you have to bear.	4 Tanto es así que, ante las Iglesias de Dios, nosotros nos sentimos orgullosos de ustedes, por la constancia y la fe con que soportan las persecuciones y contrariedades.
5 It al shows that God's judgement is just, so that you may be found worthy of the kingdom of God; it isfor the sake of this that you are suffering now.	5 En esto se manifiesta el justo Juicio de Dios, para que ustedes sean encontrados dignos del Reino de Dios por el cual tienen que sufrir.
6 For God's justice wil surely mean hardship being inflicted on those who are now inflicting hardship onyou,	6 Es justo que Dios retribuya con sufrimientos a quienes los hacen sufrir a ustedes.
7 and for you who are now suffering hardship, relief with us, when the Lord Jesus appears from heavenwith the angels of his power.	7 En cambio, a ustedes, los que sufren, les dará el descanso junto con nosotros, cuando se manifieste el Señor Jesús, que vendrá desde el cielo, con los ángeles de su poder,
8 He wil come amid flaming fire; he wil impose a penalty on those who do not acknowledge God andrefuse to accept the gospel of our Lord Jesus.	8 en medio de un fuego ardiente. Entonces él hará justicia con aquellos que no reconocen a Dios y no obedecen al Evangelio de nuestro Señor Jesús.
9 Their punishment is to be lost eternal y, excluded from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength	9 Estos sufrirán como castigo la perdición eterna, alejados de la presencia del Señor y de la gloria de su poder,
10 on that day when he comes to be glorified among his holy ones and marvelled at by al who believe inhim; and you are among those who believed our witness.	10 cuando él venga aquel Día para ser glorificado en sus santos y admirado por todos los que hayan creído. ¡Y ustedes han creído en nuestro testimonio!
11 In view of this we also pray continual y that our God wil make you worthy of his cal , and by his powerfulfil all your desires for goodness, and complete al that you have been doing through faith;	11 Pensando en esto, rogamos constantemente por ustedes a fin de que Dios los haga dignos de su llamado, y lleve a término en ustedes, con su poder, todo buen propósito y toda acción inspirada en la fe.
12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you and you in him, by the grace of ourGod and the Lord Jesus Christ.	12 Así el nombre del Señor Jesús será glorificado en ustedes, y ustedes en él, conforme a la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesucristo.
