2 Thessalonians 1

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
	1 Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo a la Iglesia de los Tesalonicenses, en Dios nuestro Padre y en el Señor Jesucristo.
2 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 Gracia a vosotros y paz de parte de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
3 We must always thank God for you, brothers; quite rightly, because your faith is growing so wonderfullyand the mutual love that each one of you has for al never stops increasing.	3 Tenemos que dar en todo tiempo gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos, como es justo, porque vuestra fe está progresando mucho y se acrecienta la mutua caridad de todos y cada uno de vosotros,
4 Among the churches of God we take special pride in you for your perseverance and faith under al thepersecutions and hardships you have to bear.	4 hasta tal punto que nosotros mismos nos gloriamos de vosotros en las Iglesias de Dios por la tenacidad y la fe en todas las persecuciones y tribulaciones que estáis pasando.
5 It al shows that God's judgement is just, so that you may be found worthy of the kingdom of God; it isfor the sake of this that you are suffering now.	5 Esto es señal del justo juicio de Dios, en el que seréis declarados dignos del Reino de Dios, por cuya causa padecéis.
6 For God's justice wil surely mean hardship being inflicted on those who are now inflicting hardship onyou,	6 Porque es propio de la justicia de Dios el pagar con tribulación a los que os atribulan,
7 and for you who are now suffering hardship, relief with us, when the Lord Jesus appears from heavenwith the angels of his power.	7 y a vosotros, los atribulados, con el descanso junto con nosotros, cuando el Señor Jesús se revele desde el cielo con sus poderosos ángeles,
8 He wil come amid flaming fire; he wil impose a penalty on those who do not acknowledge God andrefuse to accept the gospel of our Lord Jesus.	8 en medio de una llama de fuego, y tome venganza de los que no conocen a Dios y de los que que no obedecen al Evangelio de nuestro Señor Jesús.
9 Their punishment is to be lost eternal y, excluded from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength	9 Estos sufrirán la pena de una ruina eterna, alejados de la presencia del Señor y de la gloria de su poder,
10 on that day when he comes to be glorified among his holy ones and marvelled at by al who believe inhim; and you are among those who believed our witness.	10 cuando venga en aquel Día a ser glorificado en sus santos y admirado en todos los que hayan creído - pues nuestro testimonio ha sido creído por vosotros.
11 In view of this we also pray continual y that our God wil make you worthy of his cal , and by his powerfulfil all your desires for goodness, and complete al that you have been doing through faith;	11 Con este objeto rogamos en todo tiempo por vosotros: que nuestro Dios os haga dignos de la vocación y lleve a término con su poder todo vuestro deseo de hacer el bien y la actividad de la fe,
12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you and you in him, by the grace of ourGod and the Lord Jesus Christ.	12 para que así el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús sea glorificado en vosotros, y vosotros en él, según la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesucristo.
