Philippians 3

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Finally, brothers, I wish you joy in the Lord. To write to you what I have already written before is notrouble to me and to you will be a protection.	1 Egyébiránt, testvéreim, örvendezzetek az Úrban. Nekem nem terhes, hogy ugyanazt írjam nektek, titeket viszont megerősít.
2 Beware of dogs! Beware of evil workmen! Beware of self-mutilators!	2 Ügyeljetek a kutyákra, ügyeljetek a rossz munkásokra, ügyeljetek a megcsonkítottakra!
3 We are the true people of the circumcision since we worship by the Spirit of God and make Christ Jesusour only boast, not relying on physical qualifications,	3 Mert a körülmetéltek mi vagyunk, akik Isten Lelke által szolgálunk, és Krisztus Jézusban dicsekszünk, s bizalmunkat nem a testbe helyezzük.
4 although, I myself could rely on these too. If anyone does claim to rely on them, my claim is better.	4 Nekem lehetne ugyan bizalmam a testben is. Ha másvalaki úgy gondolja, hogy bizakodhat a testben, én még inkább:
5 Circumcised on the eighth day of my life, I was born of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, aHebrew born of Hebrew parents. In the matter of the Law, I was a Pharisee;	5 a nyolcadik napon körülmetéltek, Izrael nemzetéből, Benjamin törzséből származom, héber a héberek közül, a törvény megtartásában farizeus,
6 as for religious fervour, I was a persecutor of the Church; as for the uprightness embodied in the Law, Iwas faultless.	6 buzgóságból az egyház üldözője, a törvény szerinti igazság dolgában kifogástalan.
7 But what were once my assets I now through Christ Jesus count as losses.	7 De ami számomra nyereség volt, azt veszteségnek tartottam Krisztusért.
8 Yes, I wil go further: because of the supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, I counteverything else as loss. For him I have accepted the loss of al other things, and look on them all as filth if only Ican gain Christ	8 Sőt, mindent veszteségnek tartok Krisztus Jézus, az én Uram ismeretének mindent fölülmúló voltáért. Őérte mindent veszni hagytam, és szemétnek tekintek, csakhogy Krisztust elnyerjem,
9 and be given a place in him, with the uprightness I have gained not from the Law, but through faith inChrist, an uprightness from God, based on faith,	9 és hogy én őbenne legyek, nem a saját megigazulásom alapján, amely a törvényből származik, hanem az által a megigazulás által, amely Krisztus hitéből való, vagyis amely Istentől van a hit révén.
10 that I may come to know him and the power of his resurrection, and partake of his sufferings by beingmoulded to the pattern of his death,	10 Krisztust akarom megismerni, és feltámadásának erejét, a szenvedéseiben való részvételt hozzá hasonulva a halálban,
11 striving towards the goal of resurrection from the dead.	11 hogy valamiképpen eljussak a halottak közül való feltámadásra.
12 Not that I have secured it already, nor yet reached my goal, but I am stil pursuing it in the attempt totake hold of the prize for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.	12 Nem mintha már kezemben tartanám, vagy már tökéletes lennék, de törekszem rá, hogy magamhoz ragadjam, mert Krisztus is magához ragadott engem.
13 Brothers, I do not reckon myself as having taken hold of it; I can only say that forgetting al that liesbehind me, and straining forward to what lies in front,	13 Testvérek, nem képzelem magamról, hogy már magamhoz ragadtam, de egyet igen: felejtem, ami mögöttem van, és nekifeszülök annak, ami előttem van.
14 I am racing towards the finishing-point to win the prize of God's heavenly call in Christ Jesus.	14 Így futok a cél felé, annak a hivatásnak jutalmáért, amelyet Isten felülről adott Krisztus Jézusban.
15 So this is the way in which al of us who are mature should be thinking, and if you are still thinkingdifferently in any way, then God has yet to make this matter clear to you.	15 Akik tehát tökéletesek vagyunk, gondolkodjunk így mindnyájan; ha pedig valamiben másképp gondolkoztok, Isten azt is feltárja majd előttetek.
16 Meanwhile, let us go forward from the point we have each attained.	16 Amire azonban már eljutottunk, aszerint járjuk utunkat.
17 Brothers, be united in imitating me. Keep your eyes fixed on those who act according to the exampleyou have from me.	17 Legyetek követőim, testvérek, és figyeljetek azokra, akik úgy élnek, ahogy példát adtunk nektek.
18 For there are so many people of whom I have often warned you, and now I warn you again with tearsin my eyes, who behave like the enemies of Christ's cross.	18 Mert sokan élnek úgy – sokszor mondtam nektek, és most is sírva mondom –, mint Krisztus keresztjének ellenségei.
19 They are destined to be lost; their god is the stomach; they glory in what they should think shameful,since their minds are set on earthly things.	19 Végük a pusztulás, istenük a hasuk, dicsekvésük az, ami a szégyenük, s a figyelmük földi dolgokra irányul.
20 But our homeland is in heaven and it is from there that we are expecting a Saviour, the Lord JesusChrist,	20 A mi hazánk azonban a mennyekben van, ahonnan mint üdvözítőt várjuk az Úr Jézus Krisztust.
21 who wil transfigure the wretched body of ours into the mould of his glorious body, through the workingof the power which he has, even to bring all things under his mastery.	21 Ő átalakítja gyarló testünket, és hasonlóvá teszi az ő dicsőséges testéhez, azzal az erővel, amellyel hatalma alá vethet mindent.
