Deuteronomy 34

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Then, leaving the Plains of Moab, Moses went up Mount Nebo, the peak of Pisgah opposite Jericho,and Yahweh showed him the whole country: Gilead as far as Dan,	1 وصعد موسى من عربات موآب الى جبل نبو الى راس الفسجة الذي قبالة اريحا فاراه الرب جميع الارض من جلعاد الى دان
2 the whole of Naphtali, the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, the whole country of Judah as far as theWestern Sea,	2 وجميع نفتالي وارض افرايم ومنسّى وجميع ارض يهوذا الى البحر الغربي
3 the Negeb, and the region of the Val ey of Jericho, city of palm trees, as far as Zoar.	3 والجنوب والدائرة بقعة اريحا مدينة النخل الى صوغر.
4 Yahweh said to him, 'This is the country which I promised on oath to give to Abraham, Isaac andJacob, saying: I shal give it to your descendants. I have al owed you to see it for yourself, but you wil not crossinto it.'	4 وقال له الرب هذه هي الارض التي اقسمت لابراهيم واسحق ويعقوب قائلا لنسلك اعطيها. قد اريتك اياها بعينيك ولكنك الى هناك لا تعبر.
5 There in the country of Moab, Moses, servant of Yahweh, died as Yahweh decreed;	5 فمات هناك موسى عبد الرب في ارض موآب حسب قول الرب.
6 he buried him in the val ey, in the country of Moab, opposite Beth-Peor; but to this day no one hasever found his grave.	6 ودفنه في الجواء في ارض موآب مقابل بيت فغور ولم يعرف انسان قبره الى هذا اليوم
7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, his eye undimmed, his vigour unimpaired.	7 وكان موسى ابن مئة وعشرين سنة حين مات ولم تكلّ عينه ولا ذهبت نضارته
8 The Israelites wept for Moses on the Plains of Moab for thirty days. The days of weeping for themourning rites of Moses came to an end.	8 فبكى بنو اسرائيل موسى في عربات موآب ثلاثين يوما. فكملت ايام بكاء مناحة موسى
9 Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him, and himthe Israelites obeyed, carrying out the order which Yahweh had given to Moses.	9 ويشوع بن نون كان قد امتلأ روح حكمة اذ وضع موسى عليه يديه فسمع له بنو اسرائيل وعملوا كما اوصى الرب موسى
10 Since then, there has never been such a prophet in Israel as Moses, the man whom Yahweh knewface to face.	10 ولم يقم بعد نبي في اسرائيل مثل موسى الذي عرفه الرب وجها لوجه
11 What signs and wonders Yahweh caused him to perform in Egypt against Pharaoh, al his servantsand his whole country!	11 في جميع الآيات والعجائب التي ارسله الرب ليعملها في ارض مصر بفرعون وبجميع عبيده وكل ارضه
12 How mighty the hand and great the fear that Moses wielded in the eyes of al Israel!	12 وفي كل اليد الشديدة وكل المخاوف العظيمة التي صنعها موسى امام اعين جميع اسرائيل
