Deuteronomy 34

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Then, leaving the Plains of Moab, Moses went up Mount Nebo, the peak of Pisgah opposite Jericho,and Yahweh showed him the whole country: Gilead as far as Dan,	1 Felment erre Mózes Moáb síkjáról a Nébó hegyére, a Fászga tetejére, amely Jerikóval szemben van és az Úr megmutatta neki az egész országot: Gileádot egészen Dánig,
2 the whole of Naphtali, the country of Ephraim and Manasseh, the whole country of Judah as far as theWestern Sea,	2 az egész Naftalit, Efraim és Manassze földjét, Júda földjét a mögötte levő tengerig,
3 the Negeb, and the region of the Val ey of Jericho, city of palm trees, as far as Zoar.	3 a Délvidéket és Jerikónak, a pálmafák városának terjedelmes rónaságát egészen Coárig.
4 Yahweh said to him, 'This is the country which I promised on oath to give to Abraham, Isaac andJacob, saying: I shal give it to your descendants. I have al owed you to see it for yourself, but you wil not crossinto it.'	4 Majd azt mondta neki az Úr: »Ez az a föld, amely felől megesküdtem Ábrahámnak, Izsáknak és Jákobnak, mondván: Utódaidnak adom. Szemeddel ím láttad, de nem mehetsz át oda.«
5 There in the country of Moab, Moses, servant of Yahweh, died as Yahweh decreed;	5 Aztán meghalt ott, Moáb földjén Mó- zes, az Úr szolgája, az Úr parancsára
6 he buried him in the val ey, in the country of Moab, opposite Beth-Peor; but to this day no one hasever found his grave.	6 és az Úr eltemette őt Moáb földjének völgyében, Fogorral szemben, de senki sem ismeri a sírját mind a mai napig.
7 Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, his eye undimmed, his vigour unimpaired.	7 Százhúsz esztendős volt Mózes, amikor meghalt; szeme nem volt homályos és fogai nem mozogtak.
8 The Israelites wept for Moses on the Plains of Moab for thirty days. The days of weeping for themourning rites of Moses came to an end.	8 Izrael fiai aztán harminc napig siratták őt Moáb síkjain: akkor leteltek Mózes siratásának és gyászolásának napjai.
9 Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him, and himthe Israelites obeyed, carrying out the order which Yahweh had given to Moses.	9 Józsue, Nún fia pedig megtelt a bölcsesség lelkével, mert Mózes rátette kezét, emiatt Izrael fiai engedelmeskedtek neki és így aszerint tettek, ahogy az Úr meghagyta Mózesnek.
10 Since then, there has never been such a prophet in Israel as Moses, the man whom Yahweh knewface to face.	10 De olyan próféta nem támadt többé Izraelben, akit az Úr színről-színre ismert volna és aki Mózeshez hasonló lett volna
11 What signs and wonders Yahweh caused him to perform in Egypt against Pharaoh, al his servantsand his whole country!	11 azoknak a jeleknek és csodáknak tekintetében, amelyekkel őt elküldte, hogy hajtsa végre Egyiptom országában a fáraón, s annak minden szolgáján és egész földjén,
12 How mighty the hand and great the fear that Moses wielded in the eyes of al Israel!	12 meg mindazon hatalmas erő és nagy csodajel tekintetében, amelyet Mózes egész Izrael szeme láttára véghezvitt.
