Deuteronomy 14

NEW JERUSALEM	Biblija Hrvatski
1 'You are children of Yahweh your God. You must not gash yourselves or shave your foreheads for thedead.	1 »Vi ste sinovi Jahve, Boga svoga. Nemojte na sebi praviti ureza ni podstriga na čelu za pokojnikom.
2 For you are a people consecrated to Yahweh your God, and Yahweh has chosen you to be his ownpeople from al the peoples on the earth.	2 Ta ti si narod posvećen Jahvi, Bogu svome; Jahve je odabrao tebe između svih naroda na zemlji da budeš njegov narod, njegova predraga svojina.«
3 'You must not eat anything disgusting.	3 »Ništa odvratno nemojte jesti.
4 These are the animals you may eat: ox, sheep, goat,	4 Ovo su životinje koje možete jesti: vol, ovca, koza,
5 deer, gazel e, roebuck, ibex, antelope, oryx, mountain sheep.	5 jelen, srna, srndać, kozorog, antilopa, bivol i divokoza;
6 You may eat any animal that has a divided and cloven hoof and that is a ruminant.	6 možete jesti svaku životinju koja ima razdvojene papke – nadvoje posve razdvojene – i koja preživa.
7 Of those, however, that are ruminants and of those that have a divided and cloven hoof you may noteat the fol owing: the camel, the hare and the coney, which are ruminants but have no cloven hoof; you mustclass them as unclean.	7 Samo od preživača ili od životinja s razdvojenim čaporcima ne možete jesti ove: devu, arnebeta i svisca. Te, naime, iako preživaju, nemaju razdvojenih papaka; neka su za vas nečiste.
8 So also the pig, which though it has a cloven hoof is not a ruminant; you must class it as unclean. Youmust neither eat the meat of such animals nor touch their dead bodies.	8 A svinja, premda ima papke razdvojene, ne preživa: neka je za vas nečista. Njezina mesa nemojte jesti niti se njezina strva doticati.
9 'Of whatever lives in water you may eat the fol owing: you may eat anything that has fins and scales.	9 A od svega što u vodi živi ovo možete jesti: što god ima ljuske i peraje, možete jesti.
10 But you must not eat anything without fins and scales: you must class it as unclean.	10 A što nema ljusaka i peraja, ne smijete jesti. To neka je za vas nečisto.
11 'You may eat al clean birds,	11 Svaku čistu pticu možete jesti.
12 but the fol owing birds you must not eat: the tawny vulture, the griffon, the osprey,	12 Ali ovih ne smijete jesti: orla strvinara i jastreba,
13 the kite and the several kinds of buzzard,	13 tetrijeba, sokola bilo koje vrste;
14 al kinds of raven,	14 gavrana bilo koje vrste;
15 the ostrich, the screech owl, the seagul , the several kinds of hawk,	15 noja, kopca, galeba ni kraguja bilo koje vrste;
16 owl, barn owl, ibis,	16 sove, jejine i labuda;
17 pelican, white vulture, cormorant,	17 pelikana, bijelog strvinara i gnjurca;
18 stork, the several kinds of heron, hoopoe and bat.	18 rode, čaplje bilo koje vrste; pupavca i šišmiša.
19 You are to class al winged insects as unclean and must not eat them.	19 Svi krilati kukci neka su za vas nečisti – ne smijete ih jesti.
20 You may eat any clean fowl.	20 Sve krilato čisto možete jesti.
21 'You must not eat any animal that has died a natural death. You may give it to a resident foreigner toeat, or sel it to a foreigner. For you are a people consecrated to Yahweh your God. 'You must not boil a kid in itsmother's milk.	21 Ne smijete jesti ništa što crkne. Daj to pridošlici koji boravi u tvojim gradovima neka jede ili pak prodaj tuđincu. Jer ti si narod posvećen Jahvi, Bogu svome. Ne kuhaj kozleta u mlijeku njegove majke!«
22 'Every year, you must take a tithe of what your fields produce from what you have sown	22 »Odvajaj desetinu dohotka svake godine od svega što tvoj usjev u polju donese.
23 and, in the presence of Yahweh your God, in the place where he chooses to give his name a home,you must eat the tithe of your wheat, of your new wine and of your oil, and the first-born of your herd and flock;and by so doing, you wil learn always to fear Yahweh your God.	23 A onda blaguj desetine svoga žita, svoga vina, svoga ulja i prvine svoje krupne i sitne stoke u nazočnosti Jahve, Boga svoga, na mjestu koje on odabere da svoje ime ondje nastani; da se tako naučiš zauvijek bojati se Jahve, Boga svoga.
24 'If the road is too long for you, if you cannot bring your tithe because the place in which Yahwehchooses to make a home for his name is too far away, when Yahweh your God has blessed you,	24 Bude li ti put predug te ne mogneš donijeti desetine – jer je mjesto što ga Jahve odabere da u njemu nastani svoje ime previše daleko od tebe – tada, kad te Jahve, Bog tvoj, blagoslovi,
25 you must convert it into money and, with the money clasped in your hand, you must go to the placechosen by Yahweh your God;	25 prodaj to za novac, uzmi novac u ruku pa idi u mjesto što ga odabere Jahve, Bog tvoj.
26 there you may spend the money on whatever you like, oxen, sheep, wine, fermented liquor, anythingyou please. There you must eat in the presence of Yahweh your God and rejoice, you and your household.	26 Ondje za novac kupi što želiš: goveče, sitno živinče, vino ili opojno piće – što god ti duša zaželi. Ondje u nazočnosti Jahve, Boga svoga, blaguj i veseli se ti i tvoji ukućani.
27 Do not neglect the Levite living in your community, since he has no share or heritage of his ownamong you.	27 Ne zanemaruj levita koji bude u tvojim gradovima, jer on nema udjela ni baštine s tobom.
28 'At the end of every three years, you must take al the tithes of your harvests for that year and col ectthem in your community.	28 Na kraju svake treće godine iznesi svu desetinu svoga prihoda od te godine i položi je na svoja vrata.
29 Then the Levite -- since he has no share or heritage of his own among you -- the foreigner, theorphan and the widow living in your community, wil come and eat all they want. And so Yahweh your God wilbless you in al the labours that you undertake.'	29 Pa neka dođe levit – jer nema udjela ni baštine s tobom – došljak, sirota i udovica koji budu živjeli u tvom gradu i neka jedu i neka se nasite. Tako će te blagoslivljati Jahve, Bog tvoj, u svim poslovima što ih tvoja ruka poduzme.«
