Zechariah 9

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 A proclamation. The word of Yahweh is against Hadrach, it has come to rest on Damascus, for thesource of Aram belongs to Yahweh no less than al the tribes of Israel;	1 - Parola del Signore a carico della terra di Adrac e di Damasco sua sede, perchè il Signore tiene d'occhio l'uomo e tutte le tribù di Israele;
2 on Hamath too, which borders on it, and on (Tyre and) Sidon, despite her acumen.	2 e anche di Emat sua confinante e di Tiro e Sidone, perchè ostentano troppa sapienza.
3 Tyre has built herself a fortress, has heaped up silver like dust and gold like the dirt of the streets.	3 E Tiro ha edificato i suoi ripari e ha ammucchiato l'argento come la terra, e l'oro come il fango delle piazze.
4 And now the Lord is going to dispossess her; at sea he wil break her power, and she herself will go upin flames.	4 Ecco che il Signore se ne impadronirà e abbatterà la sua marittima potenza, ed essa sarà divorata dal fuoco.
5 Seeing this, Ashkelon wil be terrified, Gaza too, and writhe with grief, Ekron too, at the ruin of herprospects; the king wil vanish from Gaza and Ashkelon be unpeopled,	5 Ascalon vedrà ciò con terrore: e Gaza con gran sbigottimento: e Accaron, perchè la sua speranza è svanita. E Gaza rimarrà senza re e Ascalon non sarà più abitata.
6 while a half-breed wil live in Ashdod! Yes, I shal destroy the pride of the Philistine;	6 E in Azoto abiterà lo straniero e farà perire la superbia dei Filistei.
7 I shal snatch his blood from his mouth, his abominations from between his teeth. But his remnant toowil belong to our God, becoming like a clan in Judah, and Ekron wil become like a Jebusite.	7 E toglierò via dalla bocca del Filisteo il suo sangue, e le abominazioni dai suoi denti; e resterà anch'egli pel nostro Dio, e sarà come un condottiero in Giuda; e Accaron avrà la sorte del Jebuseo.
8 I shal stand guard before my home to defend it against al comers, and no oppressor wil overrun themever again, for now I am on the alert.	8 E circonderò la mia casa con quelli della mia milizia che andranno e verranno, e non passerà più sopra di loro l'oppressore, perchè ora la guardo cogli occhi miei.
9 Rejoice heart and soul, daughter of Zion! Shout for joy, daughter of Jerusalem! Look, your king isapproaching, he is vindicated and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.	9 Esulta grandemente, o figlio di Sion, giubila, o figlia di Gerusalemme: Ecco che viene a te il tuo Re, giusto e salvatore, egli è povero e cavalca sopra un'asina e su un piccolo asinello.
10 He wil banish chariots from Ephraim and horses from Jerusalem; the bow of war wil be banished. Hewil proclaim peace to the nations, his empire wil stretch from sea to sea, from the River to the limits of the earth.	10 Io disperderò i cocchi da Efraim e i cavalli da Gerusalemme e l'arco di guerra sarà abolito; Egli annunzierà la pace alle genti e il suo dominio sarà da un mare all'altro, e dal fiume fino alle estremità della terra.
11 As for you, because of the blood of your covenant I have released your prisoners from the pit in whichthere is no water.	11 Tu anche, mediante il sangue della tua alleanza, hai rimandato liberi i tuoi prigionieri dalla fossa dove non c'è acqua.
12 Come back to the fortress, you prisoners waiting in hope. This very day, I vow, I shal make it up to youtwice over.	12 Ritornate alle vostre mura, o prigionieri della speranza, oggi stesso io ti annunzio che ti renderò il doppio.
13 For I have strung Judah as a bow for myself, laid Ephraim on the string as an arrow, have roused yoursons, Zion, against your sons, Javan, and have made you like a warrior's sword.	13 Perchè io brandirò Giuda come un arco; impugnerò Efraim e contro i figli tuoi, o Grecia, susciterò i tuoi figli, o Sion, e ti renderò come la spada dei forti.
14 Then Yahweh wil appear above them and his arrow wil flash out like lightning. (The Lord) Yahweh wilsound the trumpet and advance in the storm-winds of the south.	14 E sopra di loro si vedrà il Signore Dio, e i suoi dardi scoccheranno come la folgore, e il Signore Dio squillerà la tromba e s'avanzerà fra il turbine che viene da mezzogiorno.
15 Yahweh Sabaoth will protect them! They wil devour, wil trample on the sling-stones, they wil drinkblood like wine, awash like bowls, like the corners of the altar.	15 E il Signore degli eserciti li proteggerà; ed essi consumeranno e calpesteranno i sassi della fionda, assaporando l'ebrezza come dal vino, ricolmi come coppe, come i corni dei pingui altari.
16 Yahweh their God wil give them victory when that day comes, like the sheep who are his people; yes,the stones of a diadem wil sparkle over his country.	16 E il Signore Dio loro li salverà in quel giorno, come gregge del suo popolo; perchè si eleveranno come pietre sante nella sua terra.
17 How fine, how splendid that will be, with wheat to make the young men flourish, and new wine themaidens!	17 Quale è il suo bene e quale è il suo bello, se non il frumento degli eletti, il vino che fa germogliare le vergini?
