Micah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA CEI 2008
1 Now listen to what Yahweh says: 'Stand up, state your case to the mountains and let the hills hear whatyou have to say!'	1 Ascoltate dunque ciò che dice il Signore: «Su, illustra la tua causa ai monti e i colli ascoltino la tua voce!».
2 Listen, mountains, to the case as Yahweh puts it, give ear, you foundations of the earth, for Yahweh hasa case against his people and he wil argue it with Israel.	2 Ascoltate, o monti, il processo del Signore, o perenni fondamenta della terra, perché il Signore è in causa con il suo popolo, accusa Israele.
3 'My people, what have I done to you, how have I made you tired of me? Answer me!	3 «Popolo mio, che cosa ti ho fatto? In che cosa ti ho stancato? Rispondimi.
4 For I brought you up from Egypt, I ransomed you from the place of slave-labour and sent Moses, Aaronand Miriam to lead you.	4 Forse perché ti ho fatto uscire dalla terra d’Egitto, ti ho riscattato dalla condizione servile e ho mandato davanti a te Mosè, Aronne e Maria?
5 My people, please remember: what was Balak king of Moab's plan and how did Balaam son of Beoranswer him? . . . from Shittim to Gilgal, for you to know Yahweh's saving justice.	5 Popolo mio, ricorda le trame di Balak, re di Moab, e quello che gli rispose Balaam, figlio di Beor. Ricòrdati di quello che è avvenuto da Sittìm a Gàlgala, per riconoscere le vittorie del Signore».
6 'With what shal I enter Yahweh's presence and bow down before God All-high? Shall I enter with burntofferings, with calves one year old?	6 «Con che cosa mi presenterò al Signore, mi prostrerò al Dio altissimo? Mi presenterò a lui con olocausti, con vitelli di un anno?
7 Wil he be pleased with rams by the thousand, with ten thousand streams of oil? Shal I offer my eldestson for my wrong-doing, the child of my own body for my sin?	7 Gradirà il Signore migliaia di montoni e torrenti di olio a miriadi? Gli offrirò forse il mio primogenito per la mia colpa, il frutto delle mie viscere per il mio peccato?».
8 'You have already been told what is right and what Yahweh wants of you. Only this, to do what is right,to love loyalty and to walk humbly with your God.'	8 Uomo, ti è stato insegnato ciò che è buono e ciò che richiede il Signore da te: praticare la giustizia, amare la bontà, camminare umilmente con il tuo Dio.
9 Yahweh's voice! He thunders to the city, 'Listen, tribe of assembled citizens!	9 La voce del Signore grida alla città e chi ha senno teme il suo nome: «Ascoltate, tribù e assemblea
10 Can I overlook the false measure, that abomination, the short bushel?	10 della città. Ci sono ancora nella casa dell’empio i tesori ingiustamente acquistati e una detestabile efa ridotta?
11 Can I connive at rigged scales and at the bag of fraudulent weights?	11 Potrò io giustificare le bilance truccate e il sacchetto di pesi falsi?
12 For the rich there are steeped in violence, and the citizens there are habitual liars.	12 I ricchi della città sono pieni di violenza e i suoi abitanti proferiscono menzogna; le loro parole sono un inganno!
13 'I myself have therefore begun to strike you down, to bring you to ruin for your sins.	13 Allora anch’io ho cominciato a colpirti, a devastarti per i tuoi peccati.
14 You wil eat but not be satisfied; you wil store up but never keep safe; what you do keep safe I shalhand over to the sword;	14 Mangerai, ma non ti sazierai, e la tua fame rimarrà in te; metterai da parte, ma nulla salverai; e se qualcosa salverai, io lo consegnerò alla spada.
15 you wil sow but wil not reap, press the olive but wil not rub yourself with oil, tread the grape but wilnot drink the wine.	15 Seminerai, ma non mieterai; frangerai le olive, ma non ti ungerai d’olio; produrrai mosto, ma non berrai il vino.
16 'For you keep the laws of Omri; what the House of Ahab did, you have done; by model ing yourselveson their standards, you force me to make an appal ing example of you and reduce your citizens to a laughing-stock; hence you wil endure the scorn of other peoples.'	16 Tu osservi gli statuti di Omri e tutte le pratiche della casa di Acab, e segui i loro progetti, perciò io farò di te una desolazione, i tuoi abitanti oggetto di scherno e subirai l’obbrobrio del mio popolo».
