Micah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Now listen to what Yahweh says: 'Stand up, state your case to the mountains and let the hills hear whatyou have to say!'	1 Escuchad ahora lo que dice Yahveh: «¡Levántate, pleitea con los montes y oigan las colinas tu voz!»
2 Listen, mountains, to the case as Yahweh puts it, give ear, you foundations of the earth, for Yahweh hasa case against his people and he wil argue it with Israel.	2 ¡Escuchad, montes, el pleito de Yahveh, prestad oído, cimientos de la tierra, pues Yahveh tiene pleito con su pueblo, se querella contra Israel:
3 'My people, what have I done to you, how have I made you tired of me? Answer me!	3 «Pueblo mío, ¿qué te he hecho? ¿En qué te he molestado? Respóndeme.
4 For I brought you up from Egypt, I ransomed you from the place of slave-labour and sent Moses, Aaronand Miriam to lead you.	4 ¿En que te hice subir del país de Egipto, y de la casa de servidumbre te rescaté, y mandé delante de ti a Moisés, Aarón y María?
5 My people, please remember: what was Balak king of Moab's plan and how did Balaam son of Beoranswer him? . . . from Shittim to Gilgal, for you to know Yahweh's saving justice.	5 Pueblo mío, recuerda, por favor, qué maquinó Balaq, rey de Moab, y qué le contestó Balaam, hijo de Beor, ... desde Sittim hasta Guilgal, para que conozcas las justicias de Yahveh».
6 'With what shal I enter Yahweh's presence and bow down before God All-high? Shall I enter with burntofferings, with calves one year old?	6 - «¿Con qué me presentaré yo a Yahveh, me inclinaré ante el Dios de lo alto? ¿Me presentaré con holocaustos, con becerros añales?
7 Wil he be pleased with rams by the thousand, with ten thousand streams of oil? Shal I offer my eldestson for my wrong-doing, the child of my own body for my sin?	7 ¿Aceptará Yahveh miles de carneros, miríadas de torrentes de aceite? ¿Daré mi primogénito por mi delito, el fruto de mis entrañas por el pecado de mi alma?»
8 'You have already been told what is right and what Yahweh wants of you. Only this, to do what is right,to love loyalty and to walk humbly with your God.'	8 - «Se te ha declarado, hombre, lo que es bueno, lo que Yahveh de ti reclama: tan sólo practicar la equidad, amar la piedad y caminar humildemente con tu Dios».
9 Yahweh's voice! He thunders to the city, 'Listen, tribe of assembled citizens!	9 La voz de Yahveh grita a la ciudad: ¡Escuchad, tribu y consejo de la ciudad!
10 Can I overlook the false measure, that abomination, the short bushel?	10 He de soportar yo una medida falsa y una arroba menguada, abominable?
11 Can I connive at rigged scales and at the bag of fraudulent weights?	11 ¿Tendré por justa la balanza enfractora y la bolsa de pesas de fraude?
12 For the rich there are steeped in violence, and the citizens there are habitual liars.	12 ¡Sus ricos están llenos de violencia, y sus habitantes hablan falsedad: (su lengua es la mentira en su boca)!
13 'I myself have therefore begun to strike you down, to bring you to ruin for your sins.	13 Por eso yo también he comenzado a herirte, a devastarte por tus pecados.
14 You wil eat but not be satisfied; you wil store up but never keep safe; what you do keep safe I shalhand over to the sword;	14 Tú comerás, pero no te saciarás, tu mugre estará dentro de ti. Pondrás a buen recaudo, mas nada salvarás, y lo que hayas salvado lo entregaré yo a la espada.
15 you wil sow but wil not reap, press the olive but wil not rub yourself with oil, tread the grape but wilnot drink the wine.	15 Sembrarás y no segarás, pisarás la aceituna y no te ungirás de aceite, el mosto, y no beberás vino.
16 'For you keep the laws of Omri; what the House of Ahab did, you have done; by model ing yourselveson their standards, you force me to make an appal ing example of you and reduce your citizens to a laughing-stock; hence you wil endure the scorn of other peoples.'	16 Tú observas los decretos de Omrí, y todas las prácticas de la casa de Ajab; te conduces según sus consejos, para que yo te convierta en estupor y a tus habitantes en rechifla, y soportéis el oprobio de los pueblos.
