Micah 4

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 But in days to come Yahweh's Temple Mountain will tower above the mountains, rise higher than thehil s.	1 Alla fine dei giorni avverrà: il monte della casa del Signore starà solido sulla cima dei monti, alto più delle colline. Affluiranno verso di lui i popoli,
2 Then the peoples wil stream to it, then many nations wil come and say, 'Come, we will go up toYahweh's mountain, to the Temple of the God of Jacob, so that he may teach us his ways and we may walk inhis paths; for the Law issues from Zion and Yahweh's word from Jerusalem.'	2 numerose nazioni si incammineranno e diranno: "Venite, saliamo al monte del Signore, alla casa del Dio di Giacobbe, che ci insegni le sue vie e noi camminiamo nei suoi sentieri". Perché da Sion viene la legge e la parola del Signore da Gerusalemme!
3 He wil judge between many peoples and arbitrate between mighty nations. They wil hammer theirswords into ploughshares and their spears into bil -hooks. Nation will not lift sword against nation or ever againbe trained to make war.	3 Egli governerà numerosi popoli e sarà arbitro di potenti nazioni. Essi trasformeranno le loro spade in vomeri, le loro lance in falci; un popolo non leverà più la spada contro un altro, né ci si eserciterà più alla guerra.
4 But each man wil sit under his vine and fig tree with no one to trouble him. The mouth of YahwehSabaoth has spoken.	4 Ciascuno starà seduto sotto la sua vite e sotto il suo fico, senza esser molestato! Sì! La bocca del Signore ha parlato!
5 For all peoples go forward, each in the name of its god, while we go forward in the name of Yahweh ourGod for ever and ever.	5 Sì! Tutti i popoli marciano, ciascuno nel nome del suo dio; noi marciamo nel nome del Signore, nostro Dio in eterno e sempre!
6 That day -- declares Yahweh- I shal gather in the lame and bring together the strays and those whom Ihave treated harshly.	6 In quel giorno, oracolo del Signore, raccoglierò gli zoppicanti, riunirò i dispersi e quelli che ho maltrattato!
7 From the footsore I shall make a remnant, and from the far-flung a mighty nation. And Yahweh will reignover them on Mount Zion thenceforth and for ever.	7 Io farò degli zoppi un resto e degli stanchi un popolo potente! Il Signore regnerà su loro sulla montagna di Sion da ora e per sempre!
8 And to you, Tower of the Flock, Ophel of the daughter of Zion, to you your former sovereignty wil return,the royal power of the daughter of Jerusalem.	8 E tu, Torre del gregge, colle della figlia di Sion, a te ritornerà la sovranità d'un tempo, la regalità della casa d'Israele!
9 Why are you crying out now? Have you no king? Has your counsel or perished, for pangs to grip youlike those of a woman in labour?	9 Ora perché gridi così forte? In te non c'è forse un re? Sono forse periti i tuoi consiglieri, ché ti han colto le doglie come una partoriente?
10 Writhe in pain and cry aloud, daughter of Zion, like a woman in labour, for now you must leave the cityand camp in the open country; to Babylon you must go, and there you will be rescued; there Yahweh wil ransomyou from the clutches of your enemies.	10 Contorciti e lamentati, figlia di Sion, come la partoriente, perché ora dovrai uscire dalla città e dimorare nella campagna. Tu andrai fino a Babilonia, là tu sarai liberata; là ti riscatterà il Signore dal pugno dei tuoi nemici!
11 Now many nations have mustered against you. They say, 'Let us desecrate her, let us gloat over Zion!'	11 Ora si sono riunite contro di te numerose nazioni. Esse dicono: "Sia profanata! Il nostro occhio si sazi della rovina di Sion!".
12 But they do not know Yahweh's thoughts, they do not understand his design: he has col ected themlike sheaves on the threshing-floor.	12 Costoro non hanno capito i disegni del Signore; non hanno indovinato il suo piano: li ha raccolti come i covoni sull'aia!
13 Start your threshing, daughter of Zion, for I shal make your horn like iron, I shall make your hooves likebronze, so that you can crush many peoples. And you wil devote what they have stolen to Yahweh, their wealthto the Lord of the whole earth.	13 In piedi! Batti il frumento, figlia di Sion, perché la tua fronte la renderò di ferro, le tue unghie le renderò di bronzo e tu ridurrai in polvere molte nazioni! Voterai al Signore le loro rapine e le loro ricchezze al Signore di tutta la terra!
14 Now look to your fortifications, Fortress! They have laid siege to us; the ruler of Israel wil be struck onthe cheek with a rod.	14 Ora raccogli le truppe, figlia della truppa: essi hanno posto l'assedio contro di noi! Con la verga colpiscono sulla guancia il giudice d'Israele!
