NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 'Speak to Aaron and say, "When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps must throw their light towardsthe front of the lamp-stand." '	2 "Parla ad Aronne e digli: Quando collocherai le lampade, le sette lampade proiettino la luce dinanzi al candelabro".
3 Aaron did this. He set up the lamps to the front of the lamp-stand, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	3 Così fece Aronne: collocò le lampade così che illuminassero di fronte al candelabro, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
4 This lamp-stand was worked in beaten gold, including its stem and its petals, which were also ofbeaten gold. This lamp-stand had been made according to the pattern Yahweh had shown to Moses.	4 Il candelabro era fatto d'oro massiccio; dal suo fusto ai suoi bracci era massiccio. Secondo la visione che il Signore aveva mostrato a Mosè, così era stato fatto il candelabro.
5 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	5 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
6 'Separate the Levites from the Israelites and purify them.	6 "Prendi i leviti tra i figli d'Israele e purificali.
7 This is how you must purify them: you wil sprinkle them with purifying water, and they wil shave theirbodies al over and wash their clothes. They will then be clean.	7 Così farai per la loro purificazione: spargi su di loro l'acqua dell'espiazione, poi si raseranno in tutto il corpo, si laveranno i vestiti e saranno puri.
8 They wil then take a young bul , with the accompanying cereal offering of fine flour mixed with oil, andyou wil take a second young bull for a sacrifice for sin.	8 Prenderanno un toro giovane e la propria offerta di fior di farina intrisa d'olio, mentre tu prenderai un secondo toro giovane per il peccato.
9 You wil then bring the Levites in front of the Tent of Meeting, and assemble the whole community ofIsraelites.	9 Farai avvicinare i leviti davanti alla tenda del convegno e farai radunare tutta la comunità dei figli d'Israele.
10 Once you have brought the Levites before Yahweh, the Israelites wil lay their hands on them.	10 Presenterai i leviti al Signore e i figli d'Israele poseranno le loro mani sui leviti.
11 Aaron wil then offer the Levites, making the gesture of offering before Yahweh on behalf of theIsraelites, admitting them to Yahweh's service.	11 Aronne presenterà i leviti come offerta da farsi con il rito di agitazione davanti al Signore, da parte dei figli d'Israele, ed essi faranno il servizio del Signore.
12 'The Levites will then lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, one of which you wil offer as asacrifice for sin, and the other as a burnt offering to Yahweh, to perform the rite of expiation for the Levites.	12 Poi i leviti poseranno le loro mani sulla testa dei tori: con uno farai il sacrificio del peccato, con l'altro l'olocausto al Signore, per l'espiazione dei leviti.
13 Having brought the Levites before Aaron and his sons, you wil present them to Yahweh with thegesture of offering.	13 Farai stare i leviti davanti ad Aronne e ai suoi figli e li presenterai come offerta da farsi con il rito di agitazione davanti al Signore.
14 That is how you wil set the Levites apart from the Israelites, for them to be mine.	14 Separerai i leviti dai figli d'Israele ed essi saranno miei.
15 The Levites wil then begin their ministry in the Tent of Meeting. 'You wil purify them and offer themwith the gesture of offering	15 Dopo di che i leviti verranno a lavorare nella tenda del convegno: li purificherai e li presenterai come un'offerta fatta con il rito dell'agitazione,
16 because, of the Israelites, they have been dedicated to me in place of al those who first emerge fromthe womb, instead of the first-born; of al the Israelites, I have taken them for my own.	16 perché sono "donati", miei "donati", tra i figli d'Israele; me li sono presi al posto di tutti quelli che aprono il grembo, al posto di tutti i primogeniti tra i figli d'Israele.
17 For al the first-born of the Israelites, whether human or animal, do indeed belong to me: the day Istruck down al the first-born in Egypt, I consecrated them to myself,	17 Perché mio è ogni primogenito dei figli d'Israele, uomo e bestia: nel giorno in cui colpii tutti i primogeniti nella terra d'Egitto li santificai per me,
18 and now, in place of al the first-born of the Israelites, I have taken the Levites.	18 e presi i leviti al posto di tutti i primogeniti dei figli d'Israele
19 Of the Israelites, I give the Levites to Aaron and his sons, as dedicated men, to minister in the Tent ofMeeting on behalf of the Israelites and perform the rite of expiation for them, so that no disaster befal s theIsraelites when the Israelites come close to the sanctuary.'	19 e diedi i leviti come "donati" ad Aronne e ai suoi figli, dal mezzo dei figli d'Israele, per fare il servizio dei figli d'Israele nella tenda del convegno e per espiare per i figli d'Israele, in modo che non ci sia un flagello se i figli di Israele si avvicinano al santuario".
20 Moses, Aaron and the whole community of Israelites dealt with the Levites exactly as Yahweh hadordered Moses concerning them; this is what the Israelites did with them.	20 Mosè, Aronne e tutta la comunità dei figli d'Israele fecero ai leviti quanto il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè riguardo a loro.
21 The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes, and Aaron presented them with thegesture of offering before Yahweh. He then performed the rite of expiation for them to purify them.	21 I leviti si purificarono, lavarono i loro vestiti, poi Aronne li dispose davanti al Signore; Aronne espiò per loro, per purificarli.
22 The Levites were then al owed to perform their ministry in the Tent of Meeting in the presence ofAaron and his sons. As Yahweh had ordered Moses concerning the Levites, so it was done with them.	22 Dopo di che i leviti vennero a fare il servizio nella tenda del convegno davanti ad Aronne e ai suoi figli. Come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè per i leviti, così essi fecero.
23 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	23 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
24 'This concerns the Levites. From the age of twenty-five onwards, the Levite will exercise his ministryand do duty in the Tent of Meeting.	24 "Questo riguarda i leviti: da venticinque anni in su verranno a schierarsi in servizio per il lavoro nella tenda del convegno,
25 After the age of fifty, he is no longer bound to the ministry; he wil have no further duties;	25 e da cinquanta anni in poi si ritireranno dall'esercizio del lavoro e non lavoreranno più.
26 but he will stil help his brothers to assure the services in the Tent of Meeting, though he himself willno longer have any ministry. That is how you wil act as regards the ministry of the Levites.'	26 Serviranno i loro fratelli nella tenda del convegno per conservare le osservanze e il lavoro. Non lavoreranno. Così farai ai leviti, riguardo ai loro uffici".
