NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων
2 'Speak to Aaron and say, "When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps must throw their light towardsthe front of the lamp-stand." '	2 λαλησον τω ααρων και ερεις προς αυτον οταν επιτιθης τους λυχνους εκ μερους κατα προσωπον της λυχνιας φωτιουσιν οι επτα λυχνοι
3 Aaron did this. He set up the lamps to the front of the lamp-stand, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	3 και εποιησεν ουτως ααρων εκ του ενος μερους κατα προσωπον της λυχνιας εξηψεν τους λυχνους αυτης καθα συνεταξεν κυριος τω μωυση
4 This lamp-stand was worked in beaten gold, including its stem and its petals, which were also ofbeaten gold. This lamp-stand had been made according to the pattern Yahweh had shown to Moses.	4 και αυτη η κατασκευη της λυχνιας στερεα χρυση ο καυλος αυτης και τα κρινα αυτης στερεα ολη κατα το ειδος ο εδειξεν κυριος τω μωυση ουτως εποιησεν την λυχνιαν
5 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	5 και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων
6 'Separate the Levites from the Israelites and purify them.	6 λαβε τους λευιτας εκ μεσου υιων ισραηλ και αφαγνιεις αυτους
7 This is how you must purify them: you wil sprinkle them with purifying water, and they wil shave theirbodies al over and wash their clothes. They will then be clean.	7 και ουτως ποιησεις αυτοις τον αγνισμον αυτων περιρρανεις αυτους υδωρ αγνισμου και επελευσεται ξυρον επι παν το σωμα αυτων και πλυνουσιν τα ιματια αυτων και καθαροι εσονται
8 They wil then take a young bul , with the accompanying cereal offering of fine flour mixed with oil, andyou wil take a second young bull for a sacrifice for sin.	8 και λημψονται μοσχον ενα εκ βοων και τουτου θυσιαν σεμιδαλεως αναπεποιημενην εν ελαιω και μοσχον ενιαυσιον εκ βοων λημψη περι αμαρτιας
9 You wil then bring the Levites in front of the Tent of Meeting, and assemble the whole community ofIsraelites.	9 και προσαξεις τους λευιτας εναντι της σκηνης του μαρτυριου και συναξεις πασαν συναγωγην υιων ισραηλ
10 Once you have brought the Levites before Yahweh, the Israelites wil lay their hands on them.	10 και προσαξεις τους λευιτας εναντι κυριου και επιθησουσιν οι υιοι ισραηλ τας χειρας αυτων επι τους λευιτας
11 Aaron wil then offer the Levites, making the gesture of offering before Yahweh on behalf of theIsraelites, admitting them to Yahweh's service.	11 και αφοριει ααρων τους λευιτας αποδομα εναντι κυριου παρα των υιων ισραηλ και εσονται ωστε εργαζεσθαι τα εργα κυριου
12 'The Levites will then lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, one of which you wil offer as asacrifice for sin, and the other as a burnt offering to Yahweh, to perform the rite of expiation for the Levites.	12 οι δε λευιται επιθησουσιν τας χειρας επι τας κεφαλας των μοσχων και ποιησει τον ενα περι αμαρτιας και τον ενα εις ολοκαυτωμα κυριω εξιλασασθαι περι αυτων
13 Having brought the Levites before Aaron and his sons, you wil present them to Yahweh with thegesture of offering.	13 και στησεις τους λευιτας εναντι κυριου και εναντι ααρων και εναντι των υιων αυτου και αποδωσεις αυτους αποδομα εναντι κυριου
14 That is how you wil set the Levites apart from the Israelites, for them to be mine.	14 και διαστελεις τους λευιτας εκ μεσου υιων ισραηλ και εσονται εμοι
15 The Levites wil then begin their ministry in the Tent of Meeting. 'You wil purify them and offer themwith the gesture of offering	15 και μετα ταυτα εισελευσονται οι λευιται εργαζεσθαι τα εργα της σκηνης του μαρτυριου και καθαριεις αυτους και αποδωσεις αυτους εναντι κυριου
16 because, of the Israelites, they have been dedicated to me in place of al those who first emerge fromthe womb, instead of the first-born; of al the Israelites, I have taken them for my own.	16 οτι αποδομα αποδεδομενοι ουτοι μοι εισιν εκ μεσου υιων ισραηλ αντι των διανοιγοντων πασαν μητραν πρωτοτοκων παντων εκ των υιων ισραηλ ειληφα αυτους εμοι
17 For al the first-born of the Israelites, whether human or animal, do indeed belong to me: the day Istruck down al the first-born in Egypt, I consecrated them to myself,	17 οτι εμοι παν πρωτοτοκον εν υιοις ισραηλ απο ανθρωπου εως κτηνους η ημερα επαταξα παν πρωτοτοκον εν γη αιγυπτω ηγιασα αυτους εμοι
18 and now, in place of al the first-born of the Israelites, I have taken the Levites.	18 και ελαβον τους λευιτας αντι παντος πρωτοτοκου εν υιοις ισραηλ
19 Of the Israelites, I give the Levites to Aaron and his sons, as dedicated men, to minister in the Tent ofMeeting on behalf of the Israelites and perform the rite of expiation for them, so that no disaster befal s theIsraelites when the Israelites come close to the sanctuary.'	19 και απεδωκα τους λευιτας αποδομα δεδομενους ααρων και τοις υιοις αυτου εκ μεσου υιων ισραηλ εργαζεσθαι τα εργα των υιων ισραηλ εν τη σκηνη του μαρτυριου και εξιλασκεσθαι περι των υιων ισραηλ και ουκ εσται εν τοις υιοις ισραηλ προσεγγιζων προς τα αγια
20 Moses, Aaron and the whole community of Israelites dealt with the Levites exactly as Yahweh hadordered Moses concerning them; this is what the Israelites did with them.	20 και εποιησεν μωυσης και ααρων και πασα συναγωγη υιων ισραηλ τοις λευιταις καθα ενετειλατο κυριος τω μωυση περι των λευιτων ουτως εποιησαν αυτοις οι υιοι ισραηλ
21 The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes, and Aaron presented them with thegesture of offering before Yahweh. He then performed the rite of expiation for them to purify them.	21 και ηγνισαντο οι λευιται και επλυναντο τα ιματια και απεδωκεν αυτους ααρων αποδομα εναντι κυριου και εξιλασατο περι αυτων ααρων αφαγνισασθαι αυτους
22 The Levites were then al owed to perform their ministry in the Tent of Meeting in the presence ofAaron and his sons. As Yahweh had ordered Moses concerning the Levites, so it was done with them.	22 και μετα ταυτα εισηλθον οι λευιται λειτουργειν την λειτουργιαν αυτων εν τη σκηνη του μαρτυριου εναντι ααρων και εναντι των υιων αυτου καθως συνεταξεν κυριος τω μωυση περι των λευιτων ουτως εποιησαν αυτοις
23 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	23 και ελαλησεν κυριος προς μωυσην λεγων
24 'This concerns the Levites. From the age of twenty-five onwards, the Levite will exercise his ministryand do duty in the Tent of Meeting.	24 τουτο εστιν το περι των λευιτων απο πεντεκαιεικοσαετους και επανω εισελευσονται ενεργειν εν τη σκηνη του μαρτυριου
25 After the age of fifty, he is no longer bound to the ministry; he wil have no further duties;	25 και απο πεντηκονταετους αποστησεται απο της λειτουργιας και ουκ εργαται ετι
26 but he will stil help his brothers to assure the services in the Tent of Meeting, though he himself willno longer have any ministry. That is how you wil act as regards the ministry of the Levites.'	26 και λειτουργησει ο αδελφος αυτου εν τη σκηνη του μαρτυριου φυλασσειν φυλακας εργα δε ουκ εργαται ουτως ποιησεις τοις λευιταις εν ταις φυλακαις αυτων
