1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	1 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:
2 'Speak to Aaron and say, "When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps must throw their light towardsthe front of the lamp-stand." '	2 Parla ad Aronne, e di' a lui: Quando tu avrai messe le sette lucerne sul candelliere, locollocherai dalla parte di mezzodì. Ordina adunque che le lucerne guardino a settentrioneverso la mensa de' pani della proposizione; esse debbon gettare la loro luce in quellaparte, che è dirimpetto al candelliere.
3 Aaron did this. He set up the lamps to the front of the lamp-stand, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	3 E Aronne fece così, e pose le lucerne sul candelliere, conforme avea ordinato il Signore aMosè.
4 This lamp-stand was worked in beaten gold, including its stem and its petals, which were also ofbeaten gold. This lamp-stand had been made according to the pattern Yahweh had shown to Moses.	4 Or il candelabro era fatto in tal guisa: tanto il tronco di mezzo, quanto tutte le braccia,che spuntavano dall'uno e dall'altro lato, erano di un sol pezzo d'oro lavorato a martello:secondo il modello mostratogli dal Signore fabbricò Mosè il candelabro.
5 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	5 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:
6 'Separate the Levites from the Israelites and purify them.	6 Separa i Leviti di mezzo a' figliuoli d'Israele, e purificagli
7 This is how you must purify them: you wil sprinkle them with purifying water, and they wil shave theirbodies al over and wash their clothes. They will then be clean.	7 Con questo rito: si aspergano coll'acqua di espiazione, e radano tutti i peli del lorocorpo: e dopo che avranno lavate le lor vesti, e si saranno mondati,
8 They wil then take a young bul , with the accompanying cereal offering of fine flour mixed with oil, andyou wil take a second young bull for a sacrifice for sin.	8 Prenderanno un bue di branco, e per sua libagione del fior di farina aspersa d'olio: unaltro bue di branco prenderai tu per lo peccato:
9 You wil then bring the Levites in front of the Tent of Meeting, and assemble the whole community ofIsraelites.	9 E condurrai i Leviti dinanzi al tabernacolo dell'alleanza, congregato tutto il concilio de'figliuoli d'Israele.
10 Once you have brought the Levites before Yahweh, the Israelites wil lay their hands on them.	10 E quando i Leviti saranno dinanzi al Signore, i figliuoli d'Israele porranno le loro manisopra di essi:
11 Aaron wil then offer the Levites, making the gesture of offering before Yahweh on behalf of theIsraelites, admitting them to Yahweh's service.	11 E Aronne offerirà i Leviti qual dono de' figliuoli d'Israele al cospetto del Signore, perchéa lui servano nel ministero.
12 'The Levites will then lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, one of which you wil offer as asacrifice for sin, and the other as a burnt offering to Yahweh, to perform the rite of expiation for the Levites.	12 Parimente i Leviti imporranno le mani loro sulle teste de' buoi, de' quali uno lo immoleraiper lo peccato, e l'altro in olocausto al Signore affine d'impetrare grazia per essi.
13 Having brought the Levites before Aaron and his sons, you wil present them to Yahweh with thegesture of offering.	13 E presenterai i Leviti al cospetto d'Aronne, e dei suoi figliuoli, e offertigli al Signoreli consacrerai,
14 That is how you wil set the Levites apart from the Israelites, for them to be mine.	14 E li separerai di mezzo a' figliuoli d'Israele, affinché sieno miei:
15 The Levites wil then begin their ministry in the Tent of Meeting. 'You wil purify them and offer themwith the gesture of offering	15 E dopo di ciò entreranno nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza per servire a me. In tal guisa tu lipurificherai, e li consacrerai in offerendogli al Signore: perocché sono stati donati a meda' figliuoli d'Israele.
16 because, of the Israelites, they have been dedicated to me in place of al those who first emerge fromthe womb, instead of the first-born; of al the Israelites, I have taken them for my own.	16 Io gli ho accettati in cambio de' primogeniti, che escono i primi dal sen materno inIsraele:
17 For al the first-born of the Israelites, whether human or animal, do indeed belong to me: the day Istruck down al the first-born in Egypt, I consecrated them to myself,	17 Perocché sono miei tutti i primogeniti de' figliuoli d'Israele tanto degli uomini, comedegli animali: li riserbai per me fin da quel giorno, in cui io uccisi tutti i primogenitinella terra d'Egitto:
18 and now, in place of al the first-born of the Israelites, I have taken the Levites.	18 E io presi i Leviti in vece di tutti i primogeniti dei figliuoli d'Israele:
19 Of the Israelites, I give the Levites to Aaron and his sons, as dedicated men, to minister in the Tent ofMeeting on behalf of the Israelites and perform the rite of expiation for them, so that no disaster befal s theIsraelites when the Israelites come close to the sanctuary.'	19 E trattili di mezzo al popolo gli ho donati ad Aronne, e a' suoi figliuoli, affinché servanoa me per Israele nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza, e per lui faccian preghiere, affinché nonsia flagellato il popolo, ove ardisse d'accostarsi al santuario.
20 Moses, Aaron and the whole community of Israelites dealt with the Levites exactly as Yahweh hadordered Moses concerning them; this is what the Israelites did with them.	20 E Mosè ed Aronne, e tutta la moltitudine de' figliuoli d'Israele fecero riguardo a' Levitiquello che il Signore avea comandato a Mosè:
21 The Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes, and Aaron presented them with thegesture of offering before Yahweh. He then performed the rite of expiation for them to purify them.	21 E furono purificati, e lavarono le loro vesti, e Aronne gli elevò al cospetto del Signore, efece orazione per essi:
22 The Levites were then al owed to perform their ministry in the Tent of Meeting in the presence ofAaron and his sons. As Yahweh had ordered Moses concerning the Levites, so it was done with them.	22 Affinché purificati entrassero ad esercitare gli uffizi loro nel tabernacolo dell'alleanzasotto Aronne, e i figliuoli di lui. Quello che il Signore ordinò a Mosè riguardo a' Leviti,fu fatto.
23 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said:	23 E il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:
24 'This concerns the Levites. From the age of twenty-five onwards, the Levite will exercise his ministryand do duty in the Tent of Meeting.	24 Questa è la legge riguardo a' Leviti: Da' venticinque anni in là entreranno a servire neltabernacolo dell'alleanza:
25 After the age of fifty, he is no longer bound to the ministry; he wil have no further duties;	25 E compiuto l'anno cinquantesimo dell'età loro, finiranno di servire:
26 but he will stil help his brothers to assure the services in the Tent of Meeting, though he himself willno longer have any ministry. That is how you wil act as regards the ministry of the Levites.'	26 E saranno aiuti dei loro fratelli al tabernacolo dell'alleanza per aver cura delle cose, chesaranno loro affidate;ma non faranno le funzioni di prima. Così disporrai riguardo alleincumbenze de' Leviti.
