Hosea 1

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 The word of Yahweh which came to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz andHezekiah kings of Judah, and of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel.	1 Palabra de Yahveh que fue dirigida a Oseas, hijo de Beerí, en tiempo de Ozías, Jotam, Ajaz y Ezequías, reyes de Judá, y en tiempo de Jeroboam, hijo de Joás, rey de Israel.
2 The beginning of what Yahweh said through Hosea: Yahweh said to Hosea, 'Go, marry a whore, andget children with a whore; for the country itself has become nothing but a whore by abandoning Yahweh.'	2 Comienzo de lo que habla Yahveh por Oseas. Dijo Yahveh a Oseas: «Ve, tómate una mujer dada a la prostitución e hijos de prostitución, porque la tierra se está prostituyendo enteramente, apartándose de Yahveh».
3 So he went and married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, who conceived and bore him a son.	3 Fue él y tomó a Gómer, hija de Dibláyim, la cual concibió y le dio a luz un hijo.
4 Yahweh then said to him, 'Call him Jezreel, for in a little while I shal punish the House of Jehu for thebloodshed at Jezreel and put an end to the sovereignty of the House of Israel.	4 Yahveh le dijo: «Ponle el nombre de Yizreel, porque dentro de poco visitaré yo la casa de Jehú por la sangre derramada en Yizreel, y pondré fin al reinado de la casa de Israel.
5 When that day comes, I shal break the bow of Israel in the Val ey of Jezreel.'	5 Aquel día romperé el arco de Israel en el valle de Yizreel».
6 She conceived a second time and gave birth to a daughter. Yahweh then said to him, 'Cal her Lo-Ruhamah, for I shall show no more pity for the House of Israel, I shal never forgive them again.	6 Concibió ella de nuevo y dio a luz una hija. Y Yahveh dijo a Oseas: «Ponle el nombre de “Nocompadecida”, porque yo no me compadeceré más de la casa de Israel, soportándoles todavía.
7 (Instead, I shal take pity on the House of Judah and shal save them, not by bow or sword or force ofarms, not by horses or horsemen, but by Yahweh their God.)'	7 (Pero de la casa de Judá me compadeceré y los salvaré por Yahveh su Dios. No los salvaré con arco ni espada ni guerra, ni con caballos ni jinetes.)»
8 After weaning Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and gave birth to a son.	8 Después de destetar a «No-compadecida», concibió otra vez y dio a luz un hijo.
9 Yahweh said, 'Cal him Lo-Ammi, for you are not my people and I do not exist for you.'	9 Y dijo Yahveh: «Ponle el nombre de “No-mi-pueblo”, porque vosotros no sois mi pueblo ni yo soy para vosotros El-Que-Soy».
