Hosea 1

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLES DES PEUPLES
1 The word of Yahweh which came to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz andHezekiah kings of Judah, and of Jeroboam son of Joash, king of Israel.	1 Parole de Yahvé qui fut adressée à Osée, fils de Bééri, au temps d’Osias, de Yotam, d’Akaz et d’Ézékias, rois de Juda, et durant le règne de Jéroboam, fils de Joas, roi d’Israël.
2 The beginning of what Yahweh said through Hosea: Yahweh said to Hosea, 'Go, marry a whore, andget children with a whore; for the country itself has become nothing but a whore by abandoning Yahweh.'	2 Lorsque Yahvé commença de parler par l’intermédiaire d’Osée, il lui dit: “Va, prends une femme qui se prostitue et qu’elle te donne des enfants nés de la prostitution, car le pays ne fait que se prostituer en se détournant de Yahvé.”
3 So he went and married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, who conceived and bore him a son.	3 Il alla donc prendre Gomer, fille de Diblayim. Elle conçut et lui enfanta un fils.
4 Yahweh then said to him, 'Call him Jezreel, for in a little while I shal punish the House of Jehu for thebloodshed at Jezreel and put an end to the sovereignty of the House of Israel.	4 Yahvé lui dit: “Appelle-le Yizréel, car encore un peu de temps et je punirai la maison de Jéhu, à cause du sang versé à Yizréel; je mettrai fin à la royauté de la maison d’Israël.
5 When that day comes, I shal break the bow of Israel in the Val ey of Jezreel.'	5 En ce jour-là, je briserai l’arc d’Israël dans la vallée d’Yizréel.”
6 She conceived a second time and gave birth to a daughter. Yahweh then said to him, 'Cal her Lo-Ruhamah, for I shall show no more pity for the House of Israel, I shal never forgive them again.	6 Elle conçut encore et enfanta une fille; Yahvé dit à Osée: “Appelle-la Lo-Rouhamah, car désormais je n’aurai plus pitié de la maison d’Israël; je ne lui pardonnerai plus.
7 (Instead, I shal take pity on the House of Judah and shal save them, not by bow or sword or force ofarms, not by horses or horsemen, but by Yahweh their God.)'	7 Mais j’aurai pitié de la maison de Juda et je les délivrerai par Yahvé leur Dieu; pour les sauver je n’aurai pas besoin de l’arc, ni de l’épée, ni de la guerre, ni des chevaux, ni des cavaliers.”
8 After weaning Lo-Ruhamah, she conceived and gave birth to a son.	8 Elle sevra Lo-Rouhamah. Elle conçut encore et enfanta un fils.
9 Yahweh said, 'Cal him Lo-Ammi, for you are not my people and I do not exist for you.'	9 Yahvé dit: “Appelle-le Lo-Ammi, car vous n’êtes plus mon peuple et moi, pour vous, Je ne Suis plus.”
