Ezekiel 8

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 In the sixth year, on the fifth day of the sixth month, I was sitting at home and the elders of Judah weresitting with me, when suddenly the hand of the Lord Yahweh fel on me there.	1 - Ora avvenne nell'anno sesto, nel sesto mese ai cinque del mese, che, stando io a sedere in casa mia cogli anziani di Giuda assisi davanti a me, la mano del Signore Iddio mi rapì fuor di me.
2 I looked, and there was a form with the appearance of a human being. Downwards from what seemedto be the waist there was fire; and upwards from the waist there was a bril iance like the glitter of amber.	2 E vidi, ed ecco un personaggio dall'aspetto come di fuoco; dai fianchi in giù parea di fuoco, e dai fianchi in su, di uno splendore come elettro rilucente.
3 Something like a hand was stretched out and it took me by a lock of my hair; and the spirit lifted mebetween heaven and earth and, in visions from God, took me to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the inner northgate, where stands the idol that provokes jealousy.	3 E quel personaggio, tesa la mano, mi afferrò pel ciuffo della chioma, e lo spirito mi levò tra cielo e terra e mi trasportò in Gerusalemme, in divina visione, presso l'ingresso interno che guardava a settentrione, dove era collocato un idolo di gelosia per provocare gelosia.
4 There was the glory of the God of Israel; it looked like what I had seen in the val ey.	4 Ed ecco che era ivi la gloria del Dio d'Israele, in quella forma di visione che aveva veduto nel campo.
5 He said, 'Son of man, raise your eyes to the north.' I raised my eyes to the north, and there, to the northof the altar gate, stood this statue of jealousy at the entrance.	5 E sentii dirmi: «Figlio dell'uomo, alza gli occhi tuoi alla parte di settentrione». E alzai gli occhi verso il settentrione, ed ecco a settentrione della porta dell'altare, un idolo eretto a rivale all'ingresso stesso.
6 He said, 'Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the monstrous, loathsome things that the Houseof Israel is practising here, to drive me out of my sanctuary? And you wil see practices more loathsome still.'	6 E disse a me: «Figlio dell'uomo, vedi tu quel che fanno costoro? Le grandi abominazioni che commette qui la casa di Israele, affinchè m'allontani dal mio santuario? Ma se ti aggiri ancora vedrai abominazioni, anche peggiori».
7 He next took me to the entrance to the court. I looked; there was a hole in the wal .	7 Allora m'introdusse sotto l'ingresso dell'atrio e guardai: ed ecco, un foro era nella parete.
8 He said, 'Son of man, bore through the wal .' I bored through the wall, until I had made an opening.	8 E disse a me: «Figlio dell'uomo, sfonda la parete»; e sfondai la parete; ed ecco, comparve una porta.
9 He said, 'Go in and look at the loathsome things they are doing inside.'	9 E mi disse: «Entra e guarda le pessime abominazioni che fanno qui costoro».
10 I went in and looked and there was every kind of reptile and repulsive animal, and al the foul idols ofthe House of Israel, carved al round the walls.	10 Entrai dunque e guardai, ed ecco ogni specie d'immagini di rettili, di animali abominevoli, e tutti gli idoli della casa di Israele dipinti sulla parete tutto all'ingiro,
11 Seventy elders of the House of Israel were worshipping the idols -- among them Jaazaniah son ofShaphan -- each one with his censer in his hand, from which rose a fragrant cloud of incense.	11 e settanta uomini, tra gli anziani della casa d'Israele, e Jezonia, figlio di Safan, in mezzo a loro stavano davanti alle pitture, e ognuno d'essi aveva in mano un incensiere e una nuvola di fumo si sollevava dall'incenso.
12 He said, 'Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the House of Israel do in the dark, each in hispersonal image-shrine? They say, "Yahweh cannot see us; Yahweh has abandoned the country." '	12 E disse a me: «Ora vedi, o figlio dell'uomo, quello che i seniori della casa d'Israele fanno nelle tenebre, ciascuno in riposto nascondiglio, perchè dicono: - Il Signore non ci vedrà, il Signore ha abbandonato la terra -».
13 He said, 'You wil see them at practices more loathsome stil .'	13 Poi mi disse: «Gira ancora e vedrai abominazioni anche maggiori, che fanno costoro».
14 He next took me to the entrance of the north gate of the Temple of Yahweh where women were sitting,weeping for Tammuz.	14 E m'introdusse per la porta d'ingresso della casa del Signore, che guardava verso settentrione, ed ecco ivi assise le donne che facevano il compianto di Adone.
15 He said, 'Son of man, do you see that? You will see even more loathsome things than that.'	15 E disse a me: «Ora hai visto, o figlio dell'uomo, ma gira ancora, e vedrai altre abominazioni peggiori di questa».
16 He then led me to the inner court of the Temple of Yahweh. And there, at the entrance to Yahweh'ssanctuary, between the portico and the altar, there were about twenty-five men, with their backs to Yahweh'ssanctuary and their faces turned towards the east. They were prostrating themselves to the east, before therising sun.	16 Allora m'introdusse dentro nell'atrio della casa del Signore; ed ecco, alla porta del tempio del Signore, tra il vestibolo e l'altare, circa venticinque uomini voltati colla schiena al tempio del Signore e colla faccia verso l'oriente, e facevano adorazione al sole nascente.
17 He said to me, 'Son of man, do you see that? Is it not bad enough for the House of Judah to be doingthe loathsome things they are doing here? But they fil the country with violence and provoke my anger further;look at them now putting that branch to their nostrils.	17 E mi disse: «Ora tu hai ben visto, o figlio dell'uomo; ti par poco ciò, per la casa di Giuda, commettere abominazioni, come queste che hanno fatto qui, e dopo aver ripiena la terra di iniquità, si sono rivolti per giunta ad irritarmi; ed ecco che accostano il ramo alle loro narici.
18 And so I shal react in fury; I shal show neither pity nor mercy. They may cry as loudly as they like to me; I wil not listen.'	18 Ma se è così, adoprerò ben io lo sdegno! il mio occhio non perdonerà e non userò misericordia, e quando grideranno con gran voce perch'io ascolti, non li esaudirò».
